Properties change of activated coke for sintering flue gas purification in cyclic removal of SO_(2) and NO_(x)

The properties of activated coke(AC)for sintering flue gas purification greatly affect the efficiency of desulfurization and denitration,but they gradually change during *** change in properties of coal-based AC during cycles was studied to clarify the change law and AC optimization *** AC oxygen content rapidly increases 13.49 to 17.87 wt.%in the early cycles to form phenol,which promotes the denitration rate 55.63%to 78.20%.The denitration performance slowly increases in subsequent cycles becaof the generation of quinone AC slow ***,the oxygen-containing groups are not conducive to adsorption capacity of AC for *** adsorbed NO species which can be replaced SO2 is the main NO species on AC,and its amount decreases with the decrease in CC content of *** AC chemical loss leads to the opening of closed pores,expansion of original pores and formation of new pores,causing micropore volume to increase 0.085%to 0.152%,compressive strength to decrease 472 to 336 N,and abrasive resistance to decrease 97.87%to 94.16%during *** low oxygen content and high micropore volume are favorable to the initial desulfurization performance,and the former is more *** a while,the desulfurization rate is linearly positively correlated with the micropore volume regardless of the chemistry.4-h desulfurization rate increased 69.03%to 85.91%during 25 cycles due to the increasing micropore *** AC properties change in cycles will greatly affect the desulfurization and denitration rate in the height direction of the flue gas purification *** the coal-based AC with moderate micropore volume,easy oxidation surface and less original oxygen-containing groups facilitates the better purification efficiency at lower cost for sintering plants.

Intelligent vehicles can effectively improve traffic congestion and road traffic *** cruise followingcontrol(ACFC)is a vital part of intelligent *** this paper,a new hierarchical vehicle-following control strategy is presented by synthesizing the variable time headway model,type-2 fuzzy control,feedforward+fuzzy proportion integration(PI)feedback(F+FPIF)control,and inverse longitudinal dynamics model of ***,a traditional variable time headway model is improved considering the acceleration of the lead ***,an interval type-2 fuzzy logic controller(IT2 FLC)is designed for the upper structure of the ACFC system to simulate the driver's operating *** reduce the nonlinear influence and improve the tracking accuracy for the desired acceleration,the control strategy of F+FPIF is given for the lower control ***,the lower control method proposed in this paper is compared with the fuzzy PI control and the traditional method(no lower controller for tracking desired acceleration)***,the proportion integration differentiation(PID),linear quadratic regulator(LQR),subsection function control(SFC)and type-1 fuzzy logic control(T1 FLC)are respectively compared with the IT2 FLC in control performance under different ***,the simulation results show the effectiveness of IT2 FLC for the upper structure and F+FPIF control for the lower structure.

Stiff-stilbene derivatives as new bright fluorophores with aggregation-induced emission

Stiff-stilbene derivatives have been widely explored as molecular rotors, molecular force probes and optical switches with excellent performance. However, their function as fluorophores is poorly understood. In the present work, we design three stiffstilbene derivatives and study their photophysical properties. These compounds exhibit very weak emission in solution but significantly enhanced monomer emission in viscous solvent, bright excimer emission in aggregates and at solid state. Detailed spectroscopic studies, single crystal structural analysis, powder X-ray diffraction(XRD) as well as effects of substituents have been carefully examined. They provide direct evidence that intermolecular interactions and molecular packing, which can restrict bond vibration and rotation, are responsible for the bright aggregation-induced emission.

A mesh optimization method using machine learning technique and variational mesh adaptation

Computational mesh is an important ingredient that affects the accuracy and efficiency of CFD numerical *** light of the introduced large amount of computational costs for many adaptive mesh methods,moving mesh methods keep the number of nodes and topology of a mesh unchanged and do not increase CFD computational *** the state-of-the-art moving mesh method,the variational mesh adaptation approach has been introduced to CFD ***,quickly estimating the flow field on the updated meshes during the iterative algorithm is challenging.A mesh optimization method,which embeds a machine learning regression model into the variational mesh adaptation,is *** regression model captures the mapping between the initial mesh nodes and the flow field,so that the variational method could move mesh nodes iteratively by solving the mesh functional which is built from the estimated flow field on the updated mesh via the regression *** the optimization,the density of the nodes in the high gradient area increases while the density in the low gradient area *** examples are first used to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed *** then we use the steady subsonic and transonic flows over cylinder and NACA0012 airfoil on unstructured triangular meshes to test our *** show that the proposed method significantly improves the accuracy of the local flow features on the adaptive *** work indicates that the proposed mesh optimization approach is promising for improving the accuracy and efficiency of CFD computation.

On 20 July 2021,northern Henan Province in China experienced catastrophic flooding as a result of an extremely intense rainstorm,with a record-breaking hourly rainfall of 201.9 mm during 0800–0900 UTC and daily accumulated rainfall in Zhengzhou City exceeding 600 mm(“Zhengzhou 7.20 rainstorm”for short).The multi-scale dynamical and thermodynamical mechanisms for this rainstorm are investigated based on station-observed and ERA-5 reanalysis *** backward trajectory tracking shows that the warm,moist air from the northwestern Pacific was mainly transported toward Henan Province by confluent southeasterlies on the northern side of a strong typhoon In-Fa(2021),with the convergent southerlies associated with a weaker typhoon Cempaka(2021)concurrently transporting moisture northward from South China Sea,supporting the *** the upper troposphere,two equatorward-intruding potential vorticity(PV)streamers within the planetary-scale wave train were located over northern Henan Province,forming significant divergent flow aloft to induce stronger ascending motion ***,the converged moist air was also blocked by the mountains in western Henan Province and forced to rise so that a deep meso-β-scale convective vortex(MβCV)was induced over the west of Zhengzhou *** PV budget analyses demonstrate that the MβCV development was attributed to the positive feedback between the rainfall-related diabatic heating and high-PV under the strong upward PV advection during the Zhengzhou 7.20 ***,the MβCV was forced by upper-level larger-scale westerlies becoming eastward-sloping,which allowed the mixtures of abundant raindrops and hydrometeors to ascend slantwise and accumulate just over Zhengzhou City,resulting in the record-breaking hourly rainfall locally.

Hypoxia promotes cell proliferation by modulating E2F1 in chicken pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells

In this study,we sought to investigate the expression of the transcription factor E2F1 in chicken pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells upon hypoxia exposure,as well as the role that E2F1 played in the regulation of cell *** chicken pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells were subjected to hypoxia or normoxia for indicated time *** viability,DNA synthesis,cell cycle profile,and expression of E2F1 were *** results showed that hypoxia promoted cell proliferation and DNA synthesis which was accompanied by an increased S phase entry and upregulation of E2F1 at mRNA and protein *** siRNA technology,we demonstrated that gene inactivation of endogenous E2F1 abolished hypoxia-induced cell proliferation,DNA synthesis,and S phase entry compared with negative siRNA transfected *** results suggest that hypoxia-induced proliferation is mediated by inducing E2F1 in chicken pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells.

The flow resistance factors of non-submerged rigid vegetation in open channels were analyzed. The formulas of drag coefficient CD and equivalent Manning＇s roughness coefficient na were derived by analyzing the force of the flow of non-submerged rigid vegetation in open channel. The flow characteristics and mechanism of non-submerged rigid vegetation in open channel were studied through flume experiments.
