Objective Brain metastases significantly impact the clinical course of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).This study aimed to examine the age-related incidence,demographics,and survival of patients with HCC and brain *** Data of HCC patients from 2010 to 2015 in the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results(SEER)Registry were screened for the presence of brain *** were stratified by age and *** logistic and Cox regression analyses were used to identify factors associated with brain metastases and those with overall survival(OS)and liver cancer-specific survival(CSS),*** A total of 141 HCC patients presenting with brain metastases were identified,accounting for 0.35% of all HCC patients and 2.37% of patients with metastatic *** all HCC patients,the incidence rate was the highest among patients aged 30-49 years old(0.47%).Ethnicity was not associated with the presence of brain metastases at the time of HCC ***,African-American patients presented with a significantly lower disease-specific survival[median time:1 month;interquartile range(IQR):0-3.0 months].Initial lung or bone metastasis was independently associated with an increased risk of the presence of brain metastases[odds ratio(OR):12.62,95% confidence interval(CI):8.40-18.97]but was not associated with a worse OS or CSS among those with brain *** This study identified the age-related incidence and risk factors of brain metastases in HCC *** results may contribute to the consideration of brain screening among patients with initial metastatic HCC with lung or bone metastases,and influence the counseling of this patient population regarding their prognosis.

Objective: To explore the specific pharmacological molecular mechanisms of Laoke Formula(LK)on treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) based on clinical application, network pharmacology and experimental validation. Methods: Kaplan-Meier method and Cox regression analysis were used to evaluate the survival benefit of Chinese medicine(CM) treatment in 296 patients with NSCLC in Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital from January 2011 to December 2015. The compounds of LK were screened using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform, and the corresponding targets were performed from Swiss Target Prediction. NSCLC-related targets were obtained from Therapeutic Target Database and Comparative Toxicogenomics Database. Key compounds and targets were identified from the compound-target-disease network and protein-protein interaction(PPI) network analysis, respectively. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) and Gene Ontology(GO) enrichment analysis were used to predict the potential signaling pathways involved in the treatment of advanced NSCLC with LK. The binding affinities between key ingredients and targets were further verified using molecular docking. Finally, A549 cell proliferation and migration assay were used to evaluate the antitumor activity of LK. Western blot was used to further verify the expression of key target proteins related to the predicted pathways. Results: Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the overall survival of the CM group was longer than that of the non-CM group(36 months vs.26 months), and COX regression analysis showed that LK treatment was an independent favorable prognostic factor(P=0.027). Next, 97 components and 86 potential targets were included in the network pharmacology, KEGG and GO analyses, and the results indicated that LK was associated with proliferation and apoptosis. A chemically closed-loop-recyclable biodegradable polymer,poly(p-dioxanone)(PPDO),is one of the ideal candidates for single-use plastic products due to its suitability for different application ***,when PPDO wastes can be collected,its monomer p-dioxanone(PDO) will be obtained through chemical recycling of these wastes;when cannot be collected,the wastes are able to be biodegraded into harmless ***,unsatisfied thermal stability and low crystallization rate of PPDO restrict its wider ***,based on end-group regulation,we simultaneously realized the significant enhancement of thermal stability and crystallization of PPDO through the simple melt processing with tributyl phosphite(TBP) or triphenyl phosphite(TPP).The model reactions were conducted to investigate the reaction mechanism and theoretical products during the preparation of PPDO/phosphite *** kinds of phosphites were proved to act as the end-capped reagent and chain extender in the melt processing,while TBP presented better *** a result,the activation energy of thermal decomposition was largely elevated,and the unprecedented T_(5%)(the temperature at a weight loss of 5%) and Tmax(the temperature at a maximum rate of weight loss) of PPDO were obtained,i.e.,T_(5%)of ~330 ℃ and Tmaxof ~385 ℃ in N_(2) atmosphere,T_(5%)of ~240 ℃ and Tmaxof ~317 ℃ in air atmosphere,***,the increased crystallization rate,crystallinity,crystalline orderliness,and realizable monomer recovery(yield >90%,purity >99.9%) of PPDO/phosphite compounds were confirmed.

Long waiting delays for users and significant imbalances in vehicle distribution are bothering traditional station-based one-way electric car-sharing system *** address the problems above,a“demand forecast-station status judgement-vehicle relocation”multistage dynamic relocation algorithm based on the automatic formation cruising technology was proposed in this *** stage one,a novel trip demand forecast model based on the long short-term memory network was established to predict users'car-pickup and car-return order volumes at each *** stage two,a dynamic threshold interval was determined by combining the forecast results with the actual vehicle distribution among stations to evaluate the status of each *** vehicle-surplus,vehicleinsufficient,vehicle-normal stations,and the number of surplus or insufficient vehicles for each station were *** stage three,setting driving mileage and carbon emission as the optimization objectives,an integer linear programming mathematical model was constructed and the optimal vehicle relocation scheme was obtained by the commercial solver *** 43 stations and 187 vehicles in Jiading District,Shanghai,China,as a case study,results showed that rapid vehicle rebalancing among stations with minimum carbon emissions could be realized within 15 min and the users’car-pickup and car-return demands could be fully satisfied without any refusal.

We adopt a floor field cellular automata model to study the statistical properties of bidirectional pedestrian flow movingin a straight corridor. We introduce a game-theoretic framework to deal with the conflict of multiple pedestrians tryingto move to the same target location. By means of computer simulations, we show that the complementary cumulative distributionof the time interval between two consecutive pedestrians leaving the corridor can be fitted by a stretched exponentialdistribution, and surprisingly, the statistical properties of the two types of pedestrian flows are affected differently by theflow ratio, i.e., the ratio of the pedestrians walking toward different directions. We also find that the jam probability exhibitsa non-monotonic behavior with the flow ratio, where the worst performance arises at an intermediate flow ratio of around0.2. Our simulation results are consistent with some empirical observations, which suggest that the peculiar characteristicsof the pedestrians may attributed to the anticipation mechanism of collision avoidance.
