Background Community water fluoridation is an effective public health strategy for preventing dental caries,*** exist about potential health *** study explores associations between tap water fluoride levels and pediatric disease burden,as well as neurodevelopmental outcomes at 6 years of *** This nationwide population-based cohort study included children born in Korean cities with and without tap water fluoridation projects,between 2006 and 2012,aiming for a fluoride concentration of 0.8±0.2 mg/L in treated tap *** from the National Health Insurance Service were used,spanning from birth to *** relationship between exposure to fluoridated tap water and incidence of 16 childhood diseases that were previously identified as potentially linked to fluoride exposure were ***,we evaluated the neurodevelopmental outcomes across various domains,including gross motor,fine motor,cognition,language,social skills,and self-help *** assessments were performed using data from a comprehensive national health screening program for children aged six *** A fluoride-unexposed group included 22,881 children,whereas a fluoride-exposed group comprised 29,991 children(52%males).Children in the fluoride-exposed group had a decreased risk of dental caries and bone fractures[hazard ratio(95%confidence interval,CI),0.76(0.63–0.93)and 0.89(0.82–0.93),respectively]and increased risk of hepatic failures[1.85,(1.14–2.98)]compared to those in the unexposed ***,the risk ratio of abnormal neurodevelopmental screening outcomes increased by 9%,but this was statistically uncertain(95%CI,0.95–1.26).Conclusions Fluoridated tap water was associated with an increased risk of hepatic failure but a decreased risk of bone fractures in *** association between fluoridated tap water and neurodevelopmental screening outcomes at 6 years remains unclear,highlighting the need for further studies to clarify this associ

As the increasing number of Phasor Measurement Units(PMUs) are deployed, wide area protection in power systems has been gaining interest. In particular, fault detection, fault classification and fault area estimation are essential to reduce the damage of faults, and even prevent catastrophic cascades of failures. In this paper, we present a scheme for fault area estimation using PMUs and traveling wave theory. The purpose of this paper is to formulate a scheme for fault area estimation by calculating the approximate fault location based on traveling wave *** research has targeted at reliable operation of wide transmission system through the estimation of fault *** verify the suggested scheme, the various simulations are performed in practical Korean power transmission *** simulation results show that the proposed scheme has a good performance with high accuracy for estimating fault area.

AIM:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of sodium hyaluronate solution(SH) in endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) of gastric ***:A prospective multicenter randomized,double blind,controlled trial was designed and utilized in this study.A total of 76 patients with 5-20 mm sized gastric neoplasms were enrolled at three academic hospitals in South Korea from June 2011 to October *** were randomly assigned to the 0.4% sodium hyaluronate or control *** lesions underwent endoscopic *** was performed with 0.4%SH and normal saline(NS) solution for submucosal *** was assessed using en bloc resection and the number of additional *** evaluation variables were the volume of injection material,steepness of mucosal elevation,bleeding rate,procedural time and operator ***,the safety was assessed by analyzing adverse events during the ***:The usefulness rate in the 0.4%SH group and the controlled group had statistically significant difference under intention to treat(ITT) analysis(90.91% vs 61.11% P = 0.0041).Under per protocol(PP),the usefulness rate is statistically significant different(93.10% vs 61.76%,P = 0.0036).The difference in volume of the solution injected between 0.4%SH group and the controlled group and NS group was also statistically significant under intention to treat and per protocol analysis(ITT:0.03 ± 0.02 mL vs 0.06 ± 0.03 mL,P = 0.0003,PP:0.03 ± 0.02 mL vs 0.06 ± 0.03 mL,P = 0.0004).Satisfaction above the grade good was significantly higher in the SH group under intention to treat and per protocol analysis(ITT:90.91% vs 61.11%,P = 0.0041,PP = 93.11% vs 61.77%,P = 0.0022).Adverse events above grade 3 were not noticed in either *** adverse events were treated and were judged as not associated with the submucosal injection ***:0.4%SH solution is a safe and effective agent that doesn't cause any significant adverse events and is useful for submucos

This study demonstrates that the initial texture of Mg alloy significantly affects the microstructure developed during cold rolling and the recrystallization behavior during subsequent annealing. In a sample with a texture oriented toward the normal direction(ND sample), thick and large-sized shear bands are intensively formed during cold rolling and the deformation is strongly localized along these bands. In contrast,in a sample with a texture oriented toward the transverse direction(TD sample), many {10-12} twins are formed at the early stage of cold rolling, and then, numerous small-sized shear bands are formed in these twins. Results of nanoindentation tests reveal that the cold-rolled ND sample has internal strain energy that is substantially concentrated along the shear bands, whereas the cold-rolled TD sample has a large amount of internal strain energy that is homogeneously distributed throughout the material;this latter behavior is strongly related to the extensive {10-12} twinning and the resultant microstructural variations in the TD sample. During subsequent annealing, recrystallization occurs locally along the shear bands in the ND sample, which leads to the formation of a bimodal grain structure comprising fine recrystallized grains and coarse unrecrystallized grains. In contrast, during subsequent annealing of the TD sample, static recrystallization occurs homogeneously throughout the material, which results in the formation of a uniform grain structure that mostly comprises equiaxed recrystallized grains.
