BackgroundIn onchocerciasis-endemic areas with high ongoing Onchocerca volvulus transmission,a high prevalence of epilepsy has been *** study aimed to determine the prevalence and clinical characteristics of epilepsy in the Bono Region of Ghana following 27 years of implementation of ivermectin mass drug administration(MdA).MethodsBetween October 2020 and August 2021,cross-sectional surveys were conducted in nine communities in the Tain district and Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region of *** the first stage,a random door-to-door approach was used to screen the population for epilepsy using a pre-tested *** suspected of having epilepsy were invited for a second-stage neurological examination for case *** *** microfilarial infection status and Ov16 seropositivity were also ***-five confidence intervals(95%CI)for prevalence values were calculated using the wilson Score *** the 971 participants,500(51.5%)were females,and the median age(interquartile range)was 26(15‒43)*** participants(1.4%,95%CI:1.0‒2.0)were diagnosed as having epilepsy with generalized seizures being the most frequent seizure type(85.7%,12/14).The overall microfilarial prevalence of *** was 10.3%(November 2020)and 9.9%(August 2021);the Ov16 seroprevalence was 22.2%(June 2021).Only 63.2%took ivermectin in the last round of MdA distribution in March *** 1.4%prevalence of epilepsy in the Bono region is similar to the median epilepsy prevalence in sub-Saharan ***,the persistent microfilarial prevalence and low ivermectin study coverage call for the Ghana Onchocerciasis Elimination Programme to step up its efforts to ensure that the gains achieved are consolidated and improved to achieve the elimination of onchocerciasis by 2030.

Background:This research values the antioxidant activity and its responsible molecules in six essential oils from medicinal plants in the Ecuadorian ***:The chemical composition of essential oils was determined using gas chromatography coupled mass *** evaluated the antioxidant activity of essential oils was use tree spectrophotometric methods:diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(dPPH),2,2’-Azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid)(ABTS)andβ-Carotene bleaching *** essential oils with good activity were determined the responsible molecules using the Bioautographic HP-TLC-dPPH ***:The scavenging capacity of the radicals was assessed with dPPH and ABTS methods,the best results were found in the oils of *** IC_(50) dPPH 2.80 mg/ml and IC_(50) ABTS 0.205 mg/mL and in *** IC_(50) dPPH 12.972 mg/mL and IC_(50) ABTS 0.321 mg/mL,the results were compared with a pattern of natural reference in this case,the essential oil of *** IC_(50) dPPH 0.474 mg/mL and IC_(50) ABTS 0.272 mg/*** evaluation of the antioxidant activity was determined by theβ-carotene bleaching test,the most notable activity results were from *** IC_(50)0.119 mg/mL,*** IC_(50)0.062 mg/mL and *** IC_(50)0,064 mg/*** bioautography revealed the active molecules antioxidants in oils for *** were thymol acetate(7.73%)and carvacrol acetate(24.52%),for *** wasγ-muurolene(2.68%),and for *** Z-caryophyllene(2.99%),aristolochene(0.11%)and cis-cadin-4-en-7-ol(4.11%).Conclusion:The results of antioxidant activity shown in descending order that the essential oils of:***,*** and ***,are those with the highest activity using the dPPH and ABTS ***β-Carotene bleaching test method confirms the 3 oils as the most active in the following order:***,*** and *** antioxidant bioautographic study identified the molecules responsible for the activity in three essential oils with

急性肝功能衰竭(ALV)表现为一种严重的凝血障碍并伴有肝性脑病。过去认为既往无肝病病史,现在认为也可有潜在病(如wilson病、自身免疫性肝炎)。如果肝病开始8周内出现脑病,就称暴发性肝功能衰竭。最常见病因是急性病毒性肝炎,大约占70％,其次是药物、中毒或输血错误。脑病、脑水肿、出血和败血症是急性肝功能衰竭死亡的主要原因。保守治疗的死亡率高达80％。及时行肝移植可降至30％～40％。

OBJECT: The aim of this study was to estimate the accuracy of routine magnetic resonance (MR) imaging studies in the classification of brain tumors in terms of both cell type and grade of malignancy。METHOdS: The authors retrospectively assessed the correlation between neuroimaging classifications and histopathological diagnoses by using multicenter database records from 393 patients with brain tumors。An ontology was devised to establish diagnostic agreement。Each tumor category was compared with the corresponding histopathological diagnoses by dichotomization。Sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values (PPVs and NPVs, respectively), and the wilson 95% confidence intervals (CI) for each were calculated。

A first search for the Ξ_(bc)^(+)J/ψΞ_(c)^(+) decay is performed by the LHCb experiment with a data sample of proton-proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb−1 recorded at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. Two peaking structures are seen with a local (global) significance of 4.3(2.8) and 4.1(2.4) standard deviations at masses of 6571 and 6694 MeV/c2, respectively. Upper limits are set on the Ξ+bc baryon production cross-section times the branching fraction relative to that of the B+c→J/ψd+s decay at centre-of-mass energies of 8 and 13 TeV, in the Ξ+bc and in the B+c rapidity and transverse-momentum ranges from 2.0 to 4.5 and 0 to 20GeV/c, respectively. Upper limits are presented as a function of the Ξ+bc mass and lifetime.

The first search for the doubly heavyΩ^(0)_(bc)baryon and a search for the E^(0)_(bc)baryon are performed using pp collision data collected via the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 fb^(-1).The baryons are reconstructed via their decays to Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-)and E^(+)_(c)π^(-).No significant excess is fbund for invariant masses between 6700 and 7300 MeV/c^(2),in a rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and a transverse momentum range from 2 to 20 MeV/*** limits are set on the ratio of the Ω^(0)_(bc)and E^(0)_(bc)production cross-section times the branching fraction to Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-)(E^(+)_(c)π^(-))relative to that of the Λ^(0)_(b)(E^(0)_(b))baryon,for different lifetime hypotheses,at 95%confidence *** upper limits range from 0.5 x 10^(-4)to 2.5 x 10^(-4)for theΩ^(0)_(bc)→Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-)(E^(0)_(bc)→Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-))decay,and from 1.4x 10^(-3)to 6.9 x 10^(-3)for theΩ^(0)_(bc)→E^(+)_(c)π^(-)(E^(0)_(bc)→E^(+)_(c)π^(-))decay,depending on the considered mass and lifetime of theΩ^(0)_(bc)(E^(0)_(bc))baryon.
