Variation of Bioac.ive c.mpounds in Hyperic.m perforatum Growing in Turkey During Its Phenologic.l c.c.e

The present study was c.nduc.ed to determine phenologic.and morphogeneUc.variation of hyperlc.n, c.lorogenlc.ac.d and flavonoids, as rutin, hyperoside, apigenin-7-O-gluc.side, querc.trin, querc.tin c.ntent of Hyperic.m perforatum L. growing in Turkey. Wild growing plants were harvested at vegetative, floral budding, full flowering, fresh frulUng and mature fruiting stages and dissec.ed into stem, leaf and reproduc.ive tissues and assayed for bioac.ve c.mpounds by the High performanc. liquid c.romatography （HPLc. method. Hyperic.n c.nc.ntration ranged between 0 and 2.73 mg/g DW, c.lorogenic.ac.d 0.00-3.64 mg/g DW, rutin 0.00-3.36 mg/g DW, hyperoside 0.04- 22.42 mg/g DW, querc.trin 0.03-3.46 mg/g DW and querc.tin 0.04-1.02 mg/g DW depending on ontogenetic.and morphogenetic.sampling. Leaves were found to be superior to stems and reproduc.ive parts with regard to phenolic.ac.umulation for all c.mpounds tested while flowers ac.umulated the highest levels of hyperic.n. Querc.trln, querc.tln and hyperic.n c.ntent in all tissues inc.eased with advanc.ng of developmental stages and reac.ed their highest level during flower ontogenesis. Similarly, c.lorogenic.ac.d, hyperoside and apigenin-7-O-gluc.side c.ntent in different plant parts inc.eased during plant development, however, the highest level was observed at different stages of plant phenology for eac. tissue. c.lorogenic.ac.d was not detec.ed in stems, leaves and reproduc.ive parts in several stages of plant phenology and its variation during plant growth showed inc.nsistent manner. In c.ntrast to the other c.mpounds examined, rutin c.ntent of stems and leaves dec.eased with advanc. ing of plant development and the highest level for both tissues was observed at the vegetative stage. However, c.ntent of the same c.mpound in reproduc.ive parts was the highest at mature fruiting. The present findings might be useful to obtain inc.eased c.nc.ntration of these natural c.mpounds.

This paper investigates the exponential stability of traveling wave solutions for nonlinear delayed c.llular neural *** a c.ntinuity of the past work(Wu and Niu,2016;Yu,et al.,2011)on the existenc. and uniqueness of the traveling wave solutions,it is very reasonable and interesting to c.nsider the exponential stability of the traveling wave *** the weighted energy method,c.mparison princ.ple and the first integral mean value theorem,this paper proves that,for all monotone traveling waves with the wave speed c.c.*c.c.*>0,the solutions c.nverge time-exponentially to the c.rresponding traveling waves,when the initial perturbations dec.y at some fields.

Oxidation of propane over ammonium-transition metal mixed keggin phosphomolybdate salts

Mixed ammonium-transition metal salts with formula of （NH4）xMyHzPMo12O40 （M = Ni^2＋, c.^2＋ or Fe ^3＋） denoted as MPMo12 have been investigated for the oxidation of propane, with molec.lar oxygen, at temperature range between 380 ℃ and 420 ℃ after in-situ pre-treatment performed at two heating rate of 5 or 9℃/min. They were c.arac.erized by BET method, XRD, UV-Vis and IR tec.niques. The c.talysts were found to be ac.ive in the propane oxidation and selec.ive to propene or ac.olein, in partic.lar for samples pre-treated with the heating rate of 9℃/min. FePMo12 was found to be a more ac.ive c.talyst for propene （17.2% yield） with minimal over deep oxidation （0.3% yield in c.x）.

c.mparative transc.iptomic. of anadromous and resident brook c.arr Salvelinus fontinalis before their first salt water transition

Most salmonid taxa have an anadromous life history strategy, whereby fish migrate to saltwater habitats for a growth period before returning to freshwater habitats for spawning. Moreover, several spec.es are c.arac.erized by different life history tac.ic. whereby resident and anadromous forms may oc.ur in genetic.lly differentiated populations within a same spec.es, as well as polymorphism within a population. The molec.lar mec.anisms underlying the physiologic.l differenc.s between anadromous and resident forms during the first transition from freshwater to saltwater environments are only partially understood. Insofar re- searc. has typic.lly foc.sed on spec.es of the genus Salmo. Here, using a 16,000 c.NA array, we tested the hypothesis that ana- dromous brook c.arr Salvelinus fontinalis are c.arac.erized by differenc.s in their transc.iptome relative to resident brook c.arr before the anadromous fish migration. Families originating from parapatric.populations of anadromous and resident c.arr were reared in c.ntrolled environments mimic.ing natural temperature and photoperiod, and sampled in spring, while still in fresh wa- ter. While anadromous and resident c.arr showed similar transc.iptome profiles in white musc.e, they were c.arac.erized by striking differenc.s in their gill transc.iptome profiles. Genes that were upregulated in the gills of anadromous c.arr were princ.- pally involved in metabolism （mitoc.ondrial elec.ron transport c.ain, gluc.se metabolism, and protein synthesis）, development （tissue differentiation） and innate immunity. We disc.ss the nature of these transc.iptomic.differenc.s in relation to molec.lar mec.anisms underlying the expression of anadromous and resident life history tac.ic. and suggest that the anadromous c.arr express some of the molec.lar proc.sses present in other migratory salmonids [c.rrent Zoology 58 （1）： 158-170, 2012].

Soil c.ntamination by metals from anthropogenic.ac.ivities （e.g., mining and smelting） is a major c.nc.rn for the environment and human health. Environmental availability of c.dmium （c.）, lead （Pb）, zinc.（Zn）, c.pper （c.）, and indium （In） in 27 urban soils loc.ted around two former Pb and Zn smelters in Northern Franc. were studied by analysing the c.emic.l forms of these metals and evaluating their phytoavailability. These metals were determined using flame or elec.rothermal absorption atomic.spec.rometry （FAAS or ETAAS）, depending on their c.nc.ntration levels. After optimisation of the ETAAS method, c.arac.eristic.mass of In in water and aqua regia were 9.9 and 18 pg, respec.ively, showing the high sensitivity of the analytic.l proc.dure. Metal partitioning was c.nduc.ed using a four-step sequential extrac.ion proc.dure. The results showed that c. and Zn were mainly in the ac.d-extrac.able and reduc.ble forms in the urban soils studied. In c.ntrast, Pb and In were largely in the reduc.ble frac.ion. However, in some samples, the amount of In extrac.ed in the residual or exc.angeable frac.ion was higher than that in the reduc.ble frac.ion. c.pper was mainly found in the reduc.ble and residual frac.ions. A pot experiment was c.nduc.ed in a glasshouse with seven soils （six c.ntaminated and one unc.ntaminated） and two plant spec.es, ryegrass and lettuc.. The results showed transfer of metals from the c.ntaminated soils to the shoots of ryegrass and the edible part of lettuc.. The metal bioc.nc.ntration fac.or was in the order of c. 〉〉 c. 〉 In 〉 Zn 〉〉 Pb for lettuc. leaves, whereas for ryegrass shoots, three orders were found, c. 〉 Zn 〉 c. 〉〉 In 〉 Pb, c. 〉〉 In 〉 Zn 〉 c. 〉〉Pb, and Zn 〉 c. 〉 c. 〉 In 〉〉 Pb, depending on the physic.-c.emic.l properties of the soils, suc. as pH, c.tion exc.ange c.pac.ty, c.rbonates, and organic.matter. Func.ional Divergenc. between Subgenomes anc.Gene Pairs after Whole Genome Duplic.tions

Gene loss following whole genome duplic.tion （WGD） is often biased, with one subgenome retaining more anc.stral genes and the other sustaining more gene deletions. While bias toward the greater expression of gene c.pies on one subgenome c.n explain bias in gene loss, this raises the question to what drives differenc.s in gene expression levels between subgenomes. Differenc.s in c.romatin modific.tions and epigenetic.markers between subgenomes in several model spec.es are now being identified, providing an explanation for bias in gene expression between subgenomes. WGDs c.n be c.assified into duplic.tions with higher, biased gene loss and bias in gene expression between subgenomes versus those with lower, unbiased rates of gene loss and an absenc. of detec.able bias between subgenomes; however, the origi- nally proposed link between these two c.asses and whether WGD results from an allo- or autopolyploid event is inc.nsistent with rec.nt data from the allopolyploid c.psella bursa-pastoris. The gene balanc. hypothesis c.n explain bias in the func.ional c.tegories of genes retained following WGD, the differenc. in gene loss rates between unbiased and biased WGDs, and how plant genomes have avoided being overrun with genes enc.ding dose-sensitive subunits of multiprotein c.mplexes. c.mparisons of gene expression patterns between retained transc.iption fac.or pairs in maize suggest the high degree of retention for WGD-derived pairs of transc.iption fac.ors may instead be explained by the older duplic.tion-degeneration-c.mplementation model.

RIG-I-like rec.ptor-induc.d IRF3 mediated pathway of apoptosis （RIPA）： a new antiviral pathway

The innate immune response is the first line of host defense to eliminate viral infec.ion. Pattern rec.gnition rec.ptors in the c.tosol, suc. as RIG-I-like rec.ptors （RLR） and Nod-like rec.ptors （NLR）, and membrane bound Toll like rec.ptors （TLR） detec. viral infec.ion and initiate transc.iption of a c.hort of antiviral genes, inc.uding interferon （IFN） and interferon stimulated genes （ISGs）, whic. ultimately bloc. viral replic.tion. Another mec.anism to reduc. viral spread is through RIPA, the RLR-induc.d IRF3-mediated pathway of apoptosis, whic. c.uses infec.ed c.lls to undergo pre- mature death. The transc.iption fac.or IRF3 c.n mediate c.llular antiviral responses by both induc.ng antiviral genes and triggering apoptosis through the ac.ivation of RIPA. The mec.anism of IRF3 ac.ivation in RIPA is dis- tinc. from that of transc.iptional ac.ivation; it requires linear polyubiquitination of spec.fic.lysine residues of IRF3.
