Fast and Accurate Predictor-Corrector Methods Using Feedback-Accelerated Picard Iteration for Strongly nonlinear Problems

Although predictor-corrector methods have been extensively applied,they might not meet the requirements of practical applications and engineering tasks,particularly when high accuracy and efficiency are necessary.A novel class of correctors based on feedback-accelerated Picard iteration(FAPI)is proposed to further enhance computational *** optimal feedback terms that do not require inversion of matrices,significantly faster convergence speed and higher numerical accuracy are achieved by these correctors compared with their counterparts;however,the computational complexities are comparably *** advantages enable nonlinear engineering problems to be solved quickly and accurately,even with rough initial guesses from elementary *** proposed method offers flexibility,enabling the use of the generated correctors for either bulk processing of collocation nodes in a domain or successive corrections of a single node in a finite difference *** our method,the functional formulas of FAPI are discretized into numerical forms using the collocation *** collocated iteration formulas can directly solve nonlinear problems,but they may require significant computational resources because of the manipulation of *** address this,the collocated iteration formulas are further converted into finite difference forms,enabling the design of lightweight predictor-corrector algorithms for real-time *** generality of the proposed method is illustrated by deriving new correctors for three commonly employed finite-difference approaches:the modified Euler approach,the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton approach,and the implicit Runge-Kutta ***,the updated approaches are tested in solving strongly nonlinear problems,including the Matthieu equation,the Duffing equation,and the low-earth-orbit tracking *** numerical findings confirm the computational accuracy and efficiency of the derived predictor-correc

The main contribution in this article is threefold:(1)we show the necessary and sufficient condition for graphs to be fractional(g,f)-covered which can be expressed in different forms,and extended to fractional(g,f,m)-covered graphs;(2)the concept of fractional-critical covered graph is put forward and its necessary and sufficient condition is given;(3)we present the degree condition for a graph to be fractional(g,f,n′,m)-critical covered,and show that degree bound is sharp when m is ***,the related result in fractional(a,b,n′,m)-critical covered setting is also verified.

Electrocatalytic synthesis of ammonia as an environment-friendly and sustainable development method has received widespread attention in recent ***-dimensional(2D)materials are a promising catalyst for ammonia synthesis due to their large surface *** this work,we have constructed a series of 2D metal borides(MBenes)with transition metal(TM)defects(TMd-MBenes)and comprehensively calculated the reactivity of electrocatalytic synthesis of ammonia-based on density functional *** results have demonstrated that the TMd-MBenes can effectively activate nitrogen oxide(nO)and nitrogen(n2)molecules *** interesting,the co-chemisorption of O atoms,dissociated from nO,can facilitate the spilled of the inert n2 molecules into single n atoms,which can further hydrogenate into ammonia easily with an ultralow limiting potential of 0.59 V on *** research has not only provided clues for catalyst design for experimental study but also paved the way for the industrial application of electrocatalytic ammonia synthesis.

Improved Approximation Schemes for Early Work Scheduling on Identical Parallel Machines with a Common Due Date

We study the early work scheduling problem on identical parallel machines in order to maximize the total early work,i.e.,the parts of non-preemptive jobs that are executed before a common due *** preprocessing and constructing an auxiliary instance which has several good properties,for any desired accuracy,we propose an efficient polynomial time approximation scheme with running time O(f(1/ε)n),where n is the number of jobs and f(1/ε)is exponential in 1/ε,and a fully polynomial time approximation scheme with running time O(1/ε^(2m+1)+n)when the number of machines is fixed.

Direct synthesis of organophosphorus compounds from white phosphorus represents a significant but challenging subject, especially in the context of ongoing efforts to comprehensively improve the phosphorus-derived chemical industry driven by sustainability and safety concerns. China is the world's largest producer of white phosphorus, creating a significant demand for the green transformation of this crucial feedstock. This review provides an overview of advancements in white phosphorus activation by Chinese research teams, focusing on the direct construction of P–C/n/O/S/M bonds from white phosphorus. Additionally, we offer some insights into prospective directions for the activation and transformation of white phosphorus in the future. This review paper aims to attract more researchers to engage in this area, stimulating follow-up exploration and fostering enduring advances.

Proximal Femur Bionic nail (PFBn): A Panacea for Unstable Intertrochanteric Femur Fracture

With the aging population,intertrochanteric femur fracture in the elderly has become one of the most serious public health issues and a hot topic of research in trauma *** to the limitations of internal fixation techniques and the insufficient mechanical design of nails,the occurrence of complications delays patient recovery after surgical *** of a proximal femur bionic nail(PFBn)based on Zhang’s n triangle theory provides triangular supporting fixation,which dramatically decreases the occurrence of complications and has been widely used for clinical treatment of unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture *** this work,we developed an equivalent biomechanical model to analyze improvement in bone remodeling of unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture through PFBn *** results show that compared with proximal femoral nail antirotation(PFnA)and InterTan,PFBn can dramatically decrease the maximum strain in the proximal *** on Frost’s mechanostat theory,the local mechanical environment in the proximal femur can be regulated into the medium overload region by using a PFBn,which may render the proximal femur in a state of physiological overload,favoring post-operative recovery of intertrochanteric femur fracture in the *** work shows that PFBn may constitute a panacea for unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture and provides insights into improving methods of internal fixation.

nutrient transport following water transfer through the world's largest water diversion channel

nutrient levels in the artificial channel constructed for the Middle Route Project are significant indicators of water quality safety and aquatic ecological integrity for this large,interbasin ***,the distribution and transport of nutrients along the channel were poorly *** on a time-series dataset as well as mass balance and material flow analysis methods,the water and nutrient transport fluxes in the Middle Route of the South-to-north Water Diversion Project were identified in this *** results indicate that the nutrient concentrations varied considerably with time,but there was no significant difference among the 30 stations of the main *** temperature difference was the major factor in the large fluctuations of water quality indicators over *** nutrient loadings varied with the water volume outputs from the main channel to the waterreceiving *** deposition was an important source of nutrients in the main channel,accounting for 9.13%,20.6%,and 0.635%of the nitrogen,phosphorus,and sulfur input from the Danjiangkou Reservoir,*** 2021,a net accumulation of 988 tons of n,29 tons of P,and 2,540 tons of S,respectively,were present in the main *** increase of these external and internal nutrient loadings would cause water quality fluctuation and deterioration in some local sections of the main *** study quantified the spatial and temporal patterns of nutrient transport in the Middle Route and revealed the ecological effects on the aquatic environment,assisting authorities on the project to develop effective water conservation strategies.

Hawking-Page transition and the dual relations of anti-de Sitter black holes surrounded by dark energy in general dimensions

Recently,a dual relation T_(0)(n+1)=T_(HP)(n)between the minimum temperature(T_(0)(n+1))black hole phase and the Hawking-Page transition(T_(HP)(n))black hole phase in two successive dimensions was introduced by wei et al(2020 ***.D10210411);this was reminiscent of the anti-de Sitter/conformal field theory(AdS/CFT)correspondence,as the Hawking-Page transition temperature could be treated as the temperature of the dual physical quantity on the boundary and the latter corresponds to that in the *** this paper,we discuss the Hawking-Page transition and the dual relations in Ads black holes surrounded by dark energy in general *** findings reveal the occurrence of the Hawking-Page transition between the thermal AdS radiation and thermodynamically stable large AdS black holes,in both the spacetime surrounded by phantom dark energy and the spacetime surrounded by quintessence dark *** discuss the effects of the phantom dark energy and quintessence dark energy on the Hawking-Page transition *** the dual relation in particular,it works well for the case of an AdS black holes surrounded by phantom dark *** the case of an Ads black hole surrounded by quintessence dark energy,the dual relation should be modified under an open assumption that the state parameter and the density parameter of the quintessence dark energy depend on the dimensions of the spacetime.

Point defects in 2-D liquid crystals with a singular potential:Profiles and stability

We study radial symmetric point defects with degree k/2 in the 2-D disk or R2in the Q-tensor framework with a singular bulk energy,which is defined by Bingham ***,we obtain the existence of solutions for the profiles of radial symmetric point defects with degree k/2 in the 2-D disk or ***,we prove that the solution is stable for |k| = 1 and unstable for |k| > *** identities are derived and utilized throughout the proof of existence and stability/instability.
