Epilepsy is a neurological disorder characterized by high morbidity,high recurrence,and drug *** signaling through the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate is intricately associated with *** glutamate receptors(mGluRs)are G protein-coupled receptors activated by glutamate and are key regulators of neuronal and synaptic *** mGluR signaling has been associated with various neurological disorders,and numerous studies have shown a close relationship between mGluRs expression/activity and the development of *** this review,we first introduce the three groups of mGluRs and their associated signaling ***,we detail how these receptors influence epilepsy by describing the signaling cascades triggered by their activation and their neuroprotective or detrimental roles in *** addition,strategies for pharmacological manipulation of these receptors during the treatment of epilepsy in experimental studies is also *** hope that this review will provide a foundation for future studies on the development of mGluR-targeted antiepileptic drugs.

LiBr as a promising redox mediator(RM)has been applied in Li-O_(2)batteries to improve oxygen evolution reaction kinetics and reduce ***,the redox shuttle of Br_(3)^-can induce the unexpected reactions and thus cause the degradation of LiBr and the corrosion of Li anode,resulting in the poor cyclability and the low round-trip ***,MgBr_(2)is firstly employed with dual functions for Li-O_(2)batteries,which can serve as a RM and a SEI film-forming *** Br^(–)is beneficial to facilitating the decomposition of Li_(2)O_(2)and thus decreasing the ***,a uniform SEI film containing Mg and MgO generates on Li anode surface by the in-situ spontaneous reactions of Mg^(2+)and Li anode in an O_(2)environment,which can suppress the redox shuttle of Br_(3)^-and improve the interface stability of Li anode and *** from these advantages,the cycle life of Li-O_(2)battery with MgBr_(2)electrolyte is significantly extended.

Gastric cancer(GC)is the third most common cause of cancer death globally and a large portion of patients are diagnosed at advanced stages with cancer invasion and metastasis1,***,the mechanisms underlying the invasion and metastasis of GC remain to be *** plays critical roles in cell mobility via cytoskeleton regulation in various cell types.3 In this study,we further reported that ZYX promoted migration,invasion,and metastasis of GC ***,ZYX promoted WNK1 activation and SNAl1 up-regulation,inducing epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)to enhance the mobility of GC *** of WNK1 impaired the mobility of GC ***,ZYX/WNK1 could be potential therapeutic targets for GC treatment.

Background: Previous studies have highlighted the crucial role of Wnt7B inthe development of various cancers, including breast, pancreatic, and gastriccancers. However, research into the involvement of Wnt7B is often confined tospecific tumor types, with a noticeable lack of comprehensive studies spanningmultiple cancer forms. The potential of Wnt7B as a diagnostic or prognosticcancer biomarker has not been fully ***: In this study, we combined bioinformatics and immunohistochemistryanalyses to examine the expression patterns and functions of Wnt7B in cancerousand adjacent noncancerous tissues across a range of ***: Our data indicate that Wnt7B may serve as a novel prognosticbiomarker and therapeutic target in certain ***: We found significant upregulation of Wnt7B expression levels in themajority of cancer cases examined. Furthermore, Wnt7B can influence cancerprognosis by modulating the tumor microenvironment, immune cell infiltration,and tumor stemness, among other factors. Additionally, we examined theassociations between anticancer drug sensitivity and Wnt7B expression, whichcould aid in the development of more precise clinical therapies.

Improving plant resistance to Verticillium wilt(VW),which causes massive losses in Gossypium hirsutum,is a global *** plants need to efficiently allocate their limited energy resources to maintain a balance between growth and ***,few transcriptional regulators specifically respond to Verticillium dahliae and the underlying mechanism has not been identified in *** this study,we found that the that expression of most R2R3-MYB members in cotton is significantly changed by *** infection relative to the other MYB *** novel R2R3-MYB transcription factor(TF)that specifically responds to ***,GhMYB3D5,was ***3D5 was not expressed in 15 cotton tissues under normal conditions,but it was dramatically induced by *** *** functionally characterized its positive role and underlying mechanism in VW *** *** infection,the up-regulated GhMYB3D5 bound to the GhADH1 promoter and activated *** addition,GhMYB3D5 physically interacted with GhADH1 and further enhanced the transcriptional activation of ***,the transcriptional regulatory module GhMYB3D5-GhADH1 then promoted lignin accumulation by improving the transcriptional levels of genes related to lignin biosynthesis(GhPAL,GhC4H,Gh4CL,and GhPOD/GhLAC)in cotton,thereby enhancing cotton VW *** results demonstrated that the GhMYB3D5 promotes defense-induced lignin accumulation,which can be regarded as an effective way to orchestrate plant immunity and growth.

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) currently occupy an important position in the energy storage market, and the development of advanced LIBs with higher energy density and power density, better cycle life and safety is a hot topic for both academia and industry. In recent years, high-entropy materials(HEMs) with complex stoichiometric ratios have attracted great attention in the field of LIBs due to their various promising functional properties. The adjustability and synergistic effects of multiple elements in HEMs make them possible to break through the bottleneck of traditional electrode materials and electrolytes, providing new opportunities for the development of high-performance LIBs. This article provides an overview of the opportunities and challenges of HEMs in LIBs, including cathodes, anodes and electrolytes. The progress of HEMs in LIBs is first summarized and analyzed, then the potential advantages and limitations of HEMs used in LIBs are concluded, finally some envisioned solutions are proposed to develop more advanced LIBs through HEMs.

Nitrogen (N) plays a key role in crop growth and production;however,data are lacking especially regarding the interaction of biochar,grass cover,and irrigation on N leaching in saturated soil *** soil columns with 20-cm diameter and 60-cm height were designed to characterize the effects of different grass cover and biochar combinations,i.e.,bare soil+0%biochar (control,CK),perennial ryegrass+0%biochar (C1),Festuca arundinacea+0%biochar (C2),perennial ryegrass+1%biochar (C3),perennial ryegrass+2%biochar (C4),perennial ryegrass+3%biochar (C5),***+1%biochar (C6),***+2% biochar (C7),and ***+3%biochar (C8),on periodic irrigation infiltration and N leaching in homogeneous loess soils from July to December *** in CK were 10.2%–35.3%higher than those in C1 and *** perennial ryegrass and *** decreased the volumes of leachates and delayed the leaching process in the 1%,2%,and 3%biochar treatments,and the vertical leaching rate decreased with biochar *** N leaching losses were concentrated in the first few leaching tests,and both total N (TN) and nitrate (NO_(3)^(-))-N concentrations in CK and C1–C8 decreased with increasing leaching test *** addition (1%,2%,and 3%) could further reduce the leaching risk of NO_(3)^(-)-N and the NO_(3)^(-)-N loss decreased with biochar ***,compared to 1%biochar,2% biochar promoted the leaching of TN under both grass cover *** N leaching losses in CK,C1,C2,C3,C4,C6,and C7 were primarily in the form of NO_(3)^(-)-*** these treatments,CK,C1,and C2had the highest cumulative leaching fractions NO_(3)^(-)-N (>90%),followed by those in C3,C4,C6,and C7 (>80%).The cumulative leaching fraction of NO_(3)^(-)-N decreased with increasing leaching test times and biochar addition,and 3%biochar addition (i.e.,C5 and C8) reduced it to approximately 50%.The one-dimensional advective-dispersive-reactive transport equation can be used as an effective nume

Regulating luminescent dynamics of lanthanide-based luminescent materials via external stimuli is of great significance in the fields of optical thermometry and high-level ***,it is still a huge challenge to realize multimodal emissions with tunable color outputs from a single activator in simple structures via smart dynamic control of photon transition ***,we present a mechanistic strategy to achieve multimodal luminescence of Er^(3+)activators with color-switchable outputs in a non-core-shell *** the control of excitation dynamics(λ_(ex)=980,808,1532,377 nm),the population among the intermediate en ergy levels of Er^(3+)and the interaction between Er^(3+)and Yb^(3+)could be precisely modulated through energy transfer and migration processes,leading to the generation of colortunable multimodal luminescence upon diverse excitation modes(non-steady-state,single-/dual-wavelength steady,thermal activation).Inspired by its special luminescent performance,the as-obtained material exhibits great potential in noncontact thermometry,multimodal anticounterfeiting,and high-capacity information encryption by performing a series of proof-of-concept *** findings might provide a conceptual model to modulate the luminescent dynamics in a simple-structured system for the generation of color-adjustable multimodal emissions,which is convenient for the development of advanced luminescent materials toward versatile cuttingedge applications.
