Designing microstructures and unveiling dynamic erosion mechanisms remain important challenges for Ag-based *** simultaneously enhance erosion and compression resistance,an Al Co Cr Fe Ni high-entropy alloy(HEA)is introduced into Ag-based materials to fabricate novel Ag-HEA contacts with island-and skeletonrestricted *** arc erosion experimental results reveal that the skeleton-restricted HEA microstructure is the key factor in reducing the hill and crater morphologies of the contact surface,effectively delaying material transfer between the movable and stationary *** molten bridge evolution and compressive deformation behavior of Ag-HEA contacts with various microstructures are investigated using molecular dynamics(MD)*** results indicate that the constraint of Ag atom diffusion in the molten pool and the involvement of HEA atoms in the molten bridge are the primary mechanisms for improving erosion *** skeleton-restricted HEA microstructure reduces the total energy and structural stability of the molten bridge system and promotes its fracture and ***,the synergistic effect of the twin and Lomerz–Cottrell lock structures can hinder dislocation glide,generating dispersed and small-area stacking faults in the Ag matrix and mitigating the concentration of shear ***,the skeleton-restricted HEA microstructure contributes positively to compression *** study presents a novel approach to designing Ag-based contacts.

Aqueous potassium-ion batteries(APIBs),recognized as safe and reliable new energy devices,are considered as one of the alternatives to traditional *** MnO_(2),serving as the main cathode,exhibits a lower specific capacity in aqueous electrolytes compared to organic systems and operates through a different reaction *** application of highly conductive graphene may effectively enhance the capacity of APIBs but could complicate the potassium storage *** this study,a MnO_(2) cathode pre-intercalated with K~+ions and grown on graphene(KMO@rGO) was developed using the microwave hydrothermal method for ***@rGO achieved a specific capacity of 90 mA h g^(-1) at a current density of 0.1 A g^(-1),maintaining a capacity retention rate of>90% after 5000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1).In-situ and exsitu characterization techniques revealed the energy-storage mechanism of KMO@rGO:layered MnO_(2)traps a large amount of "dead" water molecules during K~+ions ***,the introduction of graphene enables these water molecules to escape during K~+ ions insertion at the *** galvanostatic intermittent titration technique and density functional theory confirmed that KMO@rGO has a higher K~+ions migration rate than MnO_(2).Therefore,the capacity of this cathode depends on the interaction between dead water and K~+ions during the energy-storage *** optimal structural alignment between layered MnO_(2) and graphene allows electrons to easily flow into the external *** charge compensation forces numerous low-solvent K~+ions to displace interlayer dead water,enhancing the *** unique reaction mechanism is unprecedented in other aqueous battery studies.

Ethanamizuril(EZL) is a novel triazine anticoccidial compound that has high anticoccidial activity in chickens. In order to treat coccidiosis rationally in poultry, a detection method was developed for ethanamizuril in broiler plasma, and then the pharmacokinetics studies were performed in broilers after oral administration of different dose levels. Ethanamizuril was administered as single oral doses at low(0.67 mg kgBW), medium(1.33 mg kgBW) and high(6.67 mg kgBW) levels in which the medium dose was that recommended in clinics. Plasma concentrations of ethanamizuril were determined using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography and the data were analyzed with a non-compartmental model. Peak plasma concentrations of ethanamizuril were(2.16±0.57),(3.91±0.71), and(23.71±5.02) mg Lat(5.17±1.80),(4.60±2.12), and(4.60±2.12) h, respectively. The terminal elimination half-lives(t) for ethanamizuril were(10.84±2.59),(10.66±2.47), and(13.34±3.10) h after oral administration at low, medium and high doses, respectively. The areas under the concentrationtime curve(AUC)) were(37.68±6.87),(73.19±9.18), and(485.76±125.10) mg Lh with mean residence times(MRT) of(14.79±3.03),(15.57±3.69), and(20.22±4.01) h at the 3 dosages, respectively. Ethanamizuril was absorbed rapidly and eliminated slowly. A comparison across the dose range indicated that the time to reach peak plasma concentration(T) values were similar while peak plasma concentration(C) and AUCwere positively correlated with increasing dosages. This study of the pharmacokinetics of an ethanamizuril solution in chickens provides a theoretical basis for the rational use in the clinic.

BACKGROUND Accumulating evidence has shown that adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells(ADSCs)are an effective therapeutic approach for managing coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19);however,further elucidation is required to determine their underlying immunomodulatory effect on the mRNA expression of T helper cell-related transcription factors(TFs)and cytokine release in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs).AIM To investigate the impact of ADSCs on the mRNA expression of TFs and cytokine release in PBMCs from colorectal cancer(CRC)patients with severe COVID-19(CRC^(+)patients).METHODS PBMCs from CRC^(+)patients(PBMCs-C+)and age-matched CRC patients(PBMCs-C)were stimulated and cultured in the presence/absence of *** mRNA levels of T-box TF TBX21(T-bet),GATA binding protein 3(GATA-3),RAR-related orphan receptor C(RORC),and forkhead box P3(FoxP3)in the PBMCs were determined by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain *** supernatants were evaluated for levels of interferon gamma(IFN-γ),interleukin 4(IL-4),IL-17A,and transforming growth factor beta 1(TGF-β1)using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** Compared with PBMCs-C,PBMCs-C+exhibited higher mRNA levels of T-bet and RORC,and increased levels of IFN-γ and ***,a significant decrease in FoxP3 mRNA and TGF-β1,as well as an increase in Tbet/GATA-3,RORC/FoxP3,IFN-γ/IL-4,and IL-17A/TGF-β1 ratios were observed in PBMCs-C+.Furthermore,ADSCs significantly induced a functional regulatory T cell(Treg)subset,as evidenced by an increase in FoxP3 mRNA and TGF-β1 release *** was accompanied by a significant decrease in the mRNA levels of T-bet and RORC,release of IFN-γ and IL-17A,and T-bet/GATA-3,RORC/FoxP3,IFN-γ/IL-4,and IL-17A/TGF-β1 ratios,compared with the PBMCs-C+*** The present in vitro studies showed that ADSCs contributed to the immunosuppressive effects on PBMCs-C+,favoring Treg ***,ADSC-based cell therapy could be a beneficial approach for p

Experimental study and numerical simulation of the impact of under-sleeper pads on the dynamic and static mechanical behavior of heavy-haul railway ballast track

Laying the under-sleeper pad(USP)is one of the effective measures commonly used to delay ballast degradation and reduce maintenance *** explore the impact of application of the USP on the dynamic and static mechanical behavior of the ballast track in the heavy-haul railway system,numerical simulation models of the ballast bed with USP and without USP are presented in this paper by using the discrete element method(DEM)-multi-flexible body dynamic(MFBD)coupling analysis *** ballast bed support stiffness test and dynamic displacement tests were carried out on the actual operation of a heavy-haul railway line to verify the validity of the *** results show that using the USP results in a 43.01%reduction in the ballast bed support stiffness and achieves a more uniform distribution of track loads on the *** effectively reduces the load borne by the sleeper directly under the wheel load,with a 7.89%reduction in the pressure on the ***,the laying of the USP changes the lateral resistance sharing ratio of the ballast bed,significantly reducing the stress level of the ballast bed under train loads,with an average stress reduction of 42.19 *** also reduces the plastic displacement of ballast particles and lowers the peak value of rotational angular velocity by about 50%to 70%,which is conducive to slowing down ballast bed settlement deformation and reducing maintenance *** summary,laying the USP has a potential value in enhancing the stability and extending the lifespan of the ballast bed in heavy-haul railway systems.

The photothermal conversion capacity of pristine organic phase change materials(PCMs)is inherently insufficient in solar energy *** upgrade their photothermal conversion capacity,we developed bimetallic zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)derived Co/N co-doped flower-like carbon(Co/N-FLC)-based composite PCMs toward solar energy harvesting.3D interconnected carbon framework with low interfacial thermal resistance,abundant carbon defects and high content of nitrogen doping,excellent localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)effect of Co nanoparticles,and light absorber Co_(3)ZnC in Co/N-FLC synergistically upgrade the photothermal capacity of(polyethylene glycol)PEG@Co/N-FLC composite PCMs with an ultrahigh photothermal conversion efficiency of 94.8%under 0.16 W/cm^(2).Uniformly anchored Co and Co_(3)ZnC nanoparticles in carbon framework guarantee excellent photon capture *** carbon nanotubes(CNTs)in 2D carbon nanosheets further accelerate the rapid transport of phonons by constructing cross-connected heat transfer ***,PEG@Co/N-FLC exhibits a thermal energy storage density of 100.69 J/g and excellent thermal stability and durable ***,PEG@Co/N-FLC composite PCMs are promising candidates to accelerate the efficient utilization of solar energy.

Maternal resveratrol improves the intestinal health and weight gain of suckling piglets during high summer temperatures: The involvement of exosome-derived microRNAs and immunoglobin in colostrum

Previous studies have shown that maternal resveratrol improved growth performance and altered the microbial composition of suckling piglets under hot summer conditions. However, it remains unclear how maternal resveratrol improves growth performance of suckling piglets during high summer temperatures. A total of 20 sows(Landrace × Large White; three parity) were randomly assigned to 2 groups(with or without 300 mg/kg resveratrol) from d 75 of gestation to d 21 of lactation during high ambient temperatures(from 27 to 30℃). The results showed that maternal resveratrol supplementation increased total daily weight gain of piglets under hot summer conditions, which is consistent with previous studies. Furthermore, we found that maternal resveratrol improved the intestinal morphology and intestinal epithelial proliferation in suckling piglets. Dietary resveratrol supplementation affected the characteristics of exosome-derived microRNAs(miRNAs) in sow colostrum, as well as the genes targeted by differentially produced miRNAs. MiRNAs are concentrated in the tight junction pathway. As a result, the expression of intestinal tight junction proteins was increased in suckling piglets(P < 0.05).Notably, maternal resveratrol increased the intestinal secretory immunoglobulin A(sIgA) levels of suckling piglets via colostrum immunoglobin(P < 0.05), which could increase the abundance of beneficial microbiota to further increase the concentration of short chain fatty acids(SCFA) in suckling piglets' intestine(P < 0.05). Finally, our correlation analysis further demonstrated the positive associations between significantly differential intestinal microbiota, intestinal sIgA production and SCFA concentrations,as well as the positive relation between total daily weight gain and intestinal health of suckling *** together, our findings suggested that maternal resveratrol could promote intestinal health to improve piglet growth during high summer temperatures, which might be associa

Targeted regulation of heat transfer in carbon/carbon composite structure is built for cooling electronic device.A three-dimensional data-driven design model coupling genetic algorithm(GA) with self-adaption deep learning for targeted regulation of heat transfer in built structure is *** self-adaption deep learning model predicts the temperature of built structure closer to optimal value in GA *** distributions of pore and carbon fiber bundles in built structure are optimized by the proposed *** surface temperature of electronic device in the optimized structures is 19.1%-27.5% lower than that in the initial configurations when the porosity of built structure varies from 3% to 11%.The surface temperature of electronic device increases with an increase in *** built structure with carbon fiber bundles near the surface of electronic device and pore distribution in the middle of structure has a higher heat dissipation capacity compared with that in the initial ***,the computation time of the proposed model is less than one tenth compared with that of the traditional genetic algorithm.
