Apelin- 13 inhibits neuronal apoptosis caused by hydrogen peroxide, yet apoptosis following cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury has rarely been studied. In this study, Apelin-13 （0.1 μg/g） was injected into the lateral ventricle of middle cerebral artery occlusion model rats. TTC, TUNEL, and immuno- histochemical staining showed that compared with the cerebral ischemia/reperfusion group, infarct volume and apoptotic cell number at the ischemic penumbra region were decreased in the Apelin-13 treatment group. Additionally, Apelin-13 treatment increased Bcl-2 immtmoreactivity and decreased caspase-3 immunoreactivity, Our findings suggest that Apelin-13 is neuroprotective against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury through inhibition of neuronal apoptosis.

A simple and efficient method of enhancing biomass saccharification by microwave-assisted pretreatment with dimethyl sulfoxide/1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride is proposed. Softwood（pine wood（PW））, hardwoods（poplar wood, catalpa bungi, and Chinese parasol）, and agricultural wastes（rice straw, wheat straw, and corn stover（CS）） were exploited. Results showed that the best pretreatment effect was in PW with 54.3% and 31.7% dissolution and extraction ratios, respectively. The crystal form of cellulose in PW extract transformed from I to II, and the contended cellulose ratio and glucose conversion ratio reached 85.1% and 85.4%, respectively. CS after steam explosion achieved a similar pretreating effect as PW, with its cellulose hydrolysis ratio reaching as high as 91.5% after IL pretreatment.

Object detection models based on convolutional neural networks(CNN)have achieved state-of-the-art performance by heavily rely on large-scale training *** are insufficient when used in specific applications,such as the detection of military objects,as in these instances,a large number of samples is hard to *** order to solve this problem,this paper proposes the use of Gabor-CNN for object detection based on a small number of *** of all,a feature extraction convolution kernel library composed of multi-shape Gabor and color Gabor is constructed,and the optimal Gabor convolution kernel group is obtained by means of training and screening,which is convolved with the input image to obtain feature information of objects with strong auxiliary ***,the k-means clustering algorithm is adopted to construct several different sizes of anchor boxes,which improves the quality of the regional *** call this regional proposal process the Gabor-assisted Region Proposal Network(Gabor-assisted RPN).Finally,the Deeply-Utilized Feature Pyramid Network(DU-FPN)method is proposed to strengthen the feature expression of objects in the image.A bottom-up and a topdown feature pyramid is constructed in ResNet-50 and feature information of objects is deeply utilized through the transverse connection and integration of features at various *** results show that the method proposed in this paper achieves better results than the state-of-art contrast models on data sets with small samples in terms of accuracy and recall rate,and thus has a strong application prospect.

Background:East Asia is one of the most important economy and research force in the ***,the trend of published articles in various areas of East Asia has not been ***:We used PubMed and Web of Science databases to search for articles published from China,South Korea,and Japan in 59 nursing journals,from January 2008 to December ***:The results indicated that Journal of Clinical Nursing is the most popular journal in East Asia and the number of articles published in China has shown a steady upward trend,surpassing Japan and South Korea(from 204 in 2008 to 320 in 2017).South Korea has increased rapidly since 2013(from 65 in 2013 to 144 in 2017).Conclusion:We conclude that China is the most influenced country with the largest number of articles in the field of nursing in East *** is worth noting that the number of articles published in Japan has been slowly declining since 2015.

Heterojunction-based photocatalyst plays an important role in the various heterogeneous catalyses.Z-scheme photocatalytic systems with two semiconductor materials are suitable for harvesting solar energy,while the advanced nanostructuring tools for the fabrication of Z-scheme heterojunction are ***,WO_(3)/MoS_(2)(W/M_(0.2))heterojunction composites were constructed in a microfluidic system with enhanced assembly efficiency,and the photocatalytic performance has been investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),MottSchottky(M-S)analysis and gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer(GC-MS).In addition,in the reduction of nitrobenzene,the photogenerated hole(h^(+))oxidation of formic acid(HCOOH)provides the hydrogen source and the deposited Pd nanoparticles are enriched with photogenerated electrons for improving the transfer hydrogenation *** microfluidic-prepared tandem photocatalyst gives a meaningful guidance for the design and synthesis of heterojunction catalysts,which is promising for energy maximizing control systems.

AIM To compare the capacity of newly developed epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)-targeted immune magnetic liposomes(EILs) vs epithelial cell adhesion molecule(Ep CAM) immunomagnetic beads to capture colorectal circulating tumor cells(CTCs).METHODS EILs were prepared using a two-step method, and the magnetic and surface characteristics were confirmed. The efficiency of capturing colorectal CTCs as well as the specificity were compared between EILs and Ep CAM magnetic beads. RESULTS The obtained EILs had a lipid nanoparticle structure similar to cell membrane. Improved binding with cancer cells was seen in EILs compared with the method of coupling nano/microspheres with antibody. The binding increased as the contact time extended. Compared with Ep CAM immunomagnetic beads, EILs captured more CTCs in peripheral blood from colorectal cancer patients. The captured cells showed consistency with clinical diagnosis and pathology. Mutation analysis showed same results between captured CTCs and cancer tissues. CONCLUSION EGFR antibody-coated magnetic liposomes show high efficiency and specificity in capturing colorectal CTCs.

Factors influencing physical property evolution in sandstone mechanical compaction:the evidence from diagenetic simulation experiments

In order to analyze the factors influencing sandstone mechanical compaction and its physical property evolution during compaction processes, simulation exper- iments on sandstone mechanical compaction were carried out with a self-designed diagenetic simulation system. The experimental materials were modem sediments from dif- ferent sources, and the experiments were conducted under high temperature and high pressure. Results of the exper- iments show a binary function relation between primary porosity and mean size as well as sorting. With increasing overburden pressure during mechanical compaction, the evolution of porosity and permeability can be divided into rapid compaction at an early stage and slow compaction at a late stage, and the dividing pressure value of the two stages is about 12 MPa and the corresponding depth is about 600 m. In the slow compaction stage, there is a good exponential relationship between porosity and overburden pressure, while a good power function relationship exists between permeability and overburden pressure. There is also a good exponential relationship between porosity and permeability. The influence of particle size on sandstone mechanical compaction is mainly reflected in the slowcompaction stage, and the influence of sorting is mainly reflected in the rapid compaction stage. Abnormally high pressure effectively inhibits sandstone mechanical com- paction, and its control on sandstone mechanical com- paction is stronger than that of particle size and sorting. The influence of burial time on sandstone mechanical compaction is mainly in the slow compaction stage, and the porosity reduction caused by compaction is mainly con- trolled by average particle size.

After the success of the Daya Bay experiment, the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory （JUNO） was launched to measure neutrino-mass hierarchy and oscillation parameters and to study other neutrino physics. Its central detector is set for antineutrinos from reactors, the Earth, the atmosphere, and the Sun. The main requirements of the central detector are con- tainment of 20 kt of liquid scintillator, as the target mass, and 3% energy resolution. It is about a ball-shape detector of 38.5 m with -75% coverage of PMT on its inner surface. The design of such a huge detector is a big challenge because it must meet the requirements for several different types of physics measurement and possess the feasibility and reliability in its structure and engineering, all at reasonable time and cost. One option for the JUNO central detector is a hyper-scale acrylic ball sub- merged in the water to shield the background. This paper proposes a structural scheme for such an acrylic ball that is supported by a stainless-steel truss, inspired by point-supported glass-curtain walls in civil engineering. The preliminary design of the scheme is completed and verified by finite element （FE） method using ABAQUS. FE analysis shows that the scheme can con- trol the stress level of the acrylic ball within the limit of 5 to 10 MPa, in accordance with the demand of the design objective of the central detector. The scheme is of outstanding global stability and allows various chocces on local connections. We prove that the scheme is of good feasibility and should be a reasonable option for the central detector.

Two new copper（I） halide complexes bearing 2-（2-benzimidazolyl）-6-methylpyridine （Hbmp） and PPh3 ligands, Cu（Hbmp）（PPh3）X （X = Br （1）; I （2））, have been synthesized and characterized. Single-crystal X-ray structure analysis reveals that the halide ligand has a significant impact on the Cu-Npyridyl bond lengths. Complexes 1 and 2 show the solid-state emissions at ambient temperature, varying with the halide bound to the { Cu（Hbmp）（PPh3） } motif, which are perhaps best attributed to the metal-to-ligand charge-transfer （Cu（I） → Hbmp） transition mixed with some ligand-to-ligand charge-transfer （X and PPh3 → Hbmp） character.

Electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is a highly potential strategy to massively produce green hydrogen ***,the employment of costly Pt-based electrocatalyst in the cathode of electrolyzer greatly hampers the development of hydrogen *** phosphide catalysts have recently drawn wide attention due to the Pt-like activity but relatively lower ***,a facile strategy was proposed for the controlled preparation of the ultrasmall RuP_(2) nanoparticles on N,P-codoped carbon from common precursors of Ru(Ⅱ)complex and phytic *** taking advantage of simple mixing and pyrolysis,the as-synthesized RuP_(2) nanoparticles were uniformly embedded onto the N,P-codoped carbon *** composite catalyst shows better activity than Pt/C for alkaline HER and comparable activity for acidic and neutral *** superior activity can be ascribed to the ultrasmall-size and efficient RuP_(2) together with good mass and charge transfer ability assured by N,P-codoped carbon *** advantages including low-cost and simple synthesis in this work present an encouraging substitute to replace commercial Pt/C for hydrogen-related practical applications.
