The Bemisia tabaci （Gennadius） cryptic species complex comprises important insect pests that cause devastating damage to agricultural crops worldwide. In China, the B. tabaci Mediterranean （MED）（or biotype Q） species is threatening agricul- tural production all over the country as resistance to commonly used insecticides has increased. This situation highlights the need for alternative pest control measures. Cyantraniliprole, a novel anthraniiic diamide insecticide, has been widely employed to control Hemipteran pests. To monitor the levels of resistance to cyantraniliprole in B. tabaci field populations in China, bioassays were conducted for 18 field samples from nine provinces over two years. Compared with median lethal concentration （LC^0） for the MED susceptible strain, all field samples had significantly higher resistance to cyantraniliprole. Furthermore, resistance factors （RFs） increased significantly in samples from Shanxi （from 5.62 in 2015 to 25.81 in 2016）, Hunan （3.30 in 2015 to 20.97 in 2016） and Hubei （from 9.81 in 2015 to 23.91 in 2016） provinces. This study indicates a considerable decrease in the efficacy of cyantraniliprole against B. tabaci and establishes a baseline of susceptibility that could serve as a reference for future monitoring and management of B. tabaci resistance to cyantraniliprole.

Effects of Wetland Reclamation on Soil Nutrient Losses and Reserves in Sanjiang Plain,Northeast China

The carbon （C）, nitrogen （N） and phosphorus （P） variations of a temperate wetland soil under continuous cultivation for 40 yr were determined and evaluated in the Sanjiang Plain, Northeast China. The results showed that the soil organic carbon （SOC） and total nitrogen （TN） contents in each soil layer decreased sharply after cultivation for 2-3 yr, and exhibited minor differences after cultivation for 11 yr, which showed an exponential decline curve with the increase of cultivation years. The reduction rates of carbon and nitrogen reserves were 14.79% and 28.53% yr^-1 at the initial reclamation stages of 2-3 yr and then decreased to 2.02-3.08% yr^-1 and 1.98-2.93% yr^-1 after cultivation for 20 yr, respectively. Soil total phosphorus （TP） reserves decreased within cultivation for 5 yr, and then gradually restored to the initial level after cultivation for 17 yr. Both SOC and TN could be restored slightly when the farmland was left fallow for 8 yr after reclamation for 11 yr, whereas TP had no significant difference. These results demonstrated that wetland cultivation was one of the most important factors influencing on the nutrient fate and reserves in soil, which could lead to the rapid nutrient release and slow restoration through abandon cultivation, therefore protective cultivation techniques preventing nutrients from loss should be immediately established after wetland reclamation.

Flupyradifurone is a promising new insecticide used for controlling Bemisia tabaci during vegetable *** this study,we assessed the fitness costs and mode of inheritance associated with resistance to flupyradifurone in *** by comparing the susceptible strain(MED-S)to one field-evolved flupyradifurone-resistant strain(WH-R,with 199-fold resistance)and one laboratory-selected flupyradifurone-resistant strain(FLU-SEL,with 124-fold resistance).Progenies of reciprocal crosses between WH-R and MED-S(F_(1A),F_(1B),and pooled F_(1)),and between FLU-SEL and MED-S(F_(1C),F_(1D),and pooled F_(1)’),showed varying degrees of dominance,indicating that resistance to flupyradifurone in WH-R was autosomal and incompletely dominant,yet in FLU-SEL it was autosomal and incompletely ***,the development of resistance to flupyradifurone occurred at the expense of fitness costs for the resistant *** to the MED-S strain,WH-R showed a relative fitness of 0.50 with significantly prolonged developmental durations and reduced survival rates of the nymphal and pseudopupal stages,as well as decreased fecundity and ***,FLU-SEL showed a relative fitness of 0.65 and also demonstrated prolonged developmental durations and reduced survival rates of nymphs and pseudopupae,as well as decreased hatchability in comparison with the MED-S ***,no significant differences in fecundity were observed between MED-S and *** present study provides useful knowledge for formulating pest management strategies in the field,which will allow growers to slow the development of resistance to flupyradifurone and to sustainably control ***.

Cyantraniliprole is a novel anthranilic diamide insecticide with significant efficacy against Bemisia tabaci,an important pest insect *** this study,we conducted reversion and selection work and genetic analysis,and determined cross-resistance spectrum and synergism of cyantraniliprole resistance based on the reported population,SX population,of *** collected from Shanxi Province,*** with a susceptible strain(MED-S),SX population,the field-evolved cyantraniliprole-resistant population exhibited 26.4-fold higher resistance to *** SX,a sharp decline of cyantraniliprole resistance was shown in the absence of *** tested strain,SX-R,was established from SX population after successive selection with cyantraniliprole and recently developed 138.4-fold high resistance to ***-R had no cross-resistance to abamectin,imidacloprid,thiamethoxam,sulfoxaflor,or *** analysis illustrated that cyantraniliprole resistance in SX-R was autosomally inherited and incompletely ***,piperonyl butoxide(PBO)significantly inhibited cyantraniliprole resistance in the SX-R *** conclusion,the selection of SX with cyantraniliprole led to high resistance to cyantraniliprole which is incompletely dominant and no cross-resistance to several common types of *** oxidative metabolism is possibly involved in the resistance of SX-R,yet target-site resistance could not be excluded.

Soil respiration is a main dynamic process of carbon cycle in wetland. It is important to contribute to global climate changes. Water table and nutritious availability are significant impact factors to influence responses of CO2 emission from wetland soil to climate changes. Twenty-four wetland soil monoliths at 4 water-table positions and in 3 nitrogen status have been incubated to measure rates of CO2 emission from wetland soils in this study. Three static water-table controls and a fluctuant water-table control, with 3 nitrogen additions in every water-table control, were carried out. In no nitrogen addition treatment, high CO2 emissions were found at a static low water table (Ⅰ) and a fluctuant water table (Ⅳ), averaging 306.7mg/(m2·h) and 307.89mg/(m2·h), respectively, which were 51%-57% higher than that at static high water table (Ⅱ and Ⅲ). After nitrogen addition, however, highest CO2 emission was found at Ⅱ and lowest emission at Ⅲ. The results suggested that nutritious availability of wetland soil might be important to influence the effect of water table on the CO2 emission from the wetland soil. Nitrogen addition led to enhancing CO2 emissions from wetland soil, while the highest emission was found in 1N treatments other than in 2N treatments. In 3 nutritious treatments, low CO2 emissions at high water tables and high CO2 emissions at low water tables were also observed when water table fluctuated. Our results suggested that both water table changes and nutritious imports would effect the CO2 emission from wetland.

DISTRIBUTION OF LEAD IN URBAN SOIL AND ITS POTENTIAL RISK IN SHENYANG CITY, CHINA

The horizontal and vertical distribution characteristics of Pb in urban soil of Shenyang City, China were investigated in this study. The range of Pb concentration in the soil was 22.02-2910.60mg/kg. The standard deviation was 443.07mg/kg, and coefficient of variation was 1.64. Tiexi District was seriously contaminated by lead. In general, Pb concentration in the soil decreased with distance from pollution source. Lead concentration varied in different functional areas with the order of industrial area>commercial area>residential area>suburb>reference area. Pb concentration decreased with the depth of soil profile. Both geo-accumulation index and ecological risk index were used to estimate the potential risk of soil Pb pollution in Shenyang City. The results showed that the high potential risk area included Tiexi District and traffic roads.

Decidual natural killer （dNK） cells are believed to be critical for maintaining maternal/fetal tolerance and regulating placental vascular remodeling based upon their abundance and unique phenotype during early pregnancy. However, the mechanism for how the dNK cells play such important roles in successful pregnancy remains undefined. Here, we identified a subtype of dNK cells characterized as having a CD3-CD56^brightCD25^＋ phenotype. We found that CD56^brightCD25^＋ NK cells preferentially localize to the maternal/fetal interface during early human pregnancy. CD25^＋ dNK cells account for approximately 75% of CD25-expressing decidual immune cells （DICs）. However, less than 5% of CD25-positive peripheral blood mononuclear cells are CD25^＋ NK cells. Furthermore, CD25^＋ and CD25^- dNK cells exhibit distinct phenotypes： CD25^＋ dNK cells display a more activated phenotype and greater cytokine-secreting capacity. Interestingly, coculture of peripheral NK （pNK） cells with primary trophoblasts upregulates the percentage of CD25-expressing pNK cells, resulting in increased expression of activation markers and cytokine production by pNK cells. In addition, we demonstrated that the CXCL12/CXCR4 axis is crucial for the recruitment of CD25^＋ dNK cells and contributes to the accumulation of CD3^-CD56^brightCD25^＋ dNK cells at the maternal/fetal interface. Thus, our data reveal that the crosstalk between trophoblasts and pNK cells leads to the accumulation of CD3^-CD56^brightCD25^＋ dNK cells, which exert a regulating effect at the maternal/fetal interface.

Red-crowned Crane (Grus japonensis), a kind of endangered large-scale wader, is one of valuable and rare birds in the world. It has been indexed in China Red data Book of Endangered Animals (Aves), China data Book of Major Protection Wild Animals, World Red data Book of Birds, State Trade Protocol of Endangered Wild Plants and Animals Species. The paper studies the amount, distribution, habit, growth and habitat of Red-crowned Crane in China in detail, systematically analyses the ecological environment feature of Red-crowned Crane breeding area, including the vegetation feature, the vertical distribution law of absolute humidity and temperature, some carnivorous food and herbivorous food for Red-crowned Crane. At present, the ecological environment of breeding area has been destroyed seriously by human activity. The area of marshland is reduced rapidly. A large area of reeds has been disappeared. The survival of Red-crowned Crane is threatened greatly. So it′s necessary to maintain the biodiversity of breeding area in order to protect Red-crowned Crane. .
