Modeling the intracellular dynamics for Vif-APO mediated HIV-1 virus infection

The viral infectivity factor (Vif) was found to be essential for controlling HIV-1 virus infectivity. It targets cellular antiviral proteins in APOBEC family (APO) to trigger its fast degradation and inhibits APO packaging into nascent virion. In the present study, we propose a mathematical model to quantitatively study the intracellular dynamics of these typical virus-host interactions. Four sets of published experimental data were compared with simulation results to justify the model. Systematic parameter sensitivity and perturbation analysis showed that parameters related to APO are crucial to the infectivity of newly synthesized HIV-1 virus. Interestingly, we discovered that the synthesis rate of the viral structure protein Gag and the required number per nascent virion are optimized to achieve high virion production with minimal level of packaged APO, and large portion of model parameters are beneficial to virus only within a relatively small range. Furthermore, minor variations in several parameters related to viral protein Tat, the activator of viral RNA synthesis, were found to induce switch-like behaviors on both incorporated Vif and APO. These findings may provide new insights for understanding the high mutation rate of HIV-1 virus and its latency, as well as help identify key targets for therapeutic design.

Designing flexible free-standing air-electrode with efficient OER/ORR performance is of vital importance for the application of Zinc-air batteries in flexible ***,a flexible free-standing electrode(Ni/Fe-NC/NCF/CC)is synthesized by in-situ coupling of binary Ni/Fe-NC nanocubes and N-doped carbon nanofibers(NCF)rooted on carbon *** highly dispersed binary Ni/Fe-NC sites ensure excellent ORR activity and create efficient OER active sites relative to Ni-NC and *** in-situ coupling of Ni/Fe-NC and NCF constructs a 3D interconnected network structure that not only provides abundant and stabilized reactive sites but also guarantees fast electron transfer and gas transportation,thus achieving efficient and fast operation of ORR/***,Ni/Fe-NC/NCF/CC displays a much positive potential(0.952.V)at 4.0 mA cm^(-2.for ORR and a low OER overpotential(310 mV)at 50 mA cm^(-2..The Zinc-air battery with Ni/Fe-NC/NCF/CC air-electrode exhibits excellent battery performance with outstanding discharge/charge durability for 2.50 *** flexible Zn-air batteries with foldable mechanical properties display a high power density of 105.0 mW cm^(-2..This work widened the way to prepare flexible bifunctional air-electrode by designing composition/structure and in-situ coupling.

Control of GaN inverted pyramids growth on c-plane patterned sapphire substrates

Growth of gallium nitride(GaN)inverted pyramids on c-plane sapphire substrates is benefit for fabricating novel devices as it forms the semipolar *** this work,GaN inverted pyramids are directly grown on c-plane patterned sapphire substrates(PSS)by metal organic vapor phase epitaxy(MOVPE).The influences of growth conditions on the surface morphol-ogy are experimentally studied and explained by Wulff *** competition of growth rate among{0001},{1011},and{1122}facets results in the various surface morphologies of GaN.A higher growth temperature of 985 ℃ and a lowerⅤ/Ⅲratio of 25 can expand the area of{}facets in GaN inverted *** the other hand,GaN inverted pyramids with almost pure{}facets are obtained by using a lower growth temperature of 930℃,a higherⅤ/Ⅲratio of 100,and PSS with pattern arrangement perpendicular to the substrate primary flat.

Improving constraint onΩ_(m)from SDSS using marked correlation functions

Large-scale structure(LSS)surveys will increasingly provide stringent constraints on our cosmological ***,the density-marked correlation function(MCF)has been introduced,offering an easily computable density-correlation *** have demonstrated that MCFs offer additional,independent constraints on cosmological models beyond the standard two-point correlation(2.CF).In this study,we apply MCFs for the first time to SDSS CMASS data,aiming to investigate the statistical information regarding clustering and anisotropy properties in the Universe and assess the performance of various weighting schemes in MCFs,and finally obtain constraints onΩ_(m).Upon analyzing the CMASS data,we observe that,by combining different weights(α=[-0.2.0,0.2.0.6]),the MCFs provide a tight and independent constraint on the cosmological parameterΩ_(m),yieldingΩ_(m)=0.2.3±0.006 at the 1σlevel,which represents a significant reduction in the statistical error by a factor of 3.4 compared to that from *** constraint is consistent with recent findings from the small-scale clustering of BOSS galaxies(Zhai et ***.J.948,99(2.2.))within the 1σ***,we also find that our estimate is lower than the Planck measurements by about 2.6σ,indicating the potential presence of new physics beyond the standard cosmological model if all the systematics are fully *** method outlined in this study can be extended to other surveys and datasets,allowing for the constraint of other cosmological ***,it serves as a valuable tool for forthcoming emulator analysis on the Chinese Space Station Telescope(CSST).

2.-electrons redox-active polyoxovanadate clusters for aqueous zincion batteries

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)are attaining increasing attention for their high safety and low *** significant progresses in realizing high-performance cathode material for ZIBs,simultaneously endowing them with high capacity and fast-charging capability,the long-term cycling stability remains a major unsolved *** this work,a polyoxovanadate cluster of(NH_(4))_(8)[V_(19)O_(41)(OH)_(9)]·11H_(2.O(NOV)is defined as a cathode material for ZIBs that contains mixed-valence vanadium sites(V^(4+)and V^(5+)).A maximum of 2. electrons can be accommodated in one[V_(19)O_(41)(OH)_(9)]^(8-){V_(19)O_(50)}cluster,contributing to the high theoretical specific capacity of 32. mA·h·g^(-1).The Ti_(3)C_(2.T_(x) MXene nanosheets are incorporated into NOV with the help of ionic liquid(IL)linkers to restrain the dissolution of vanadium species and facilitate electron transport across the *** interfacial bonding,anion exchange,and electrostatic interactions among NOV and MXene are provided by IL *** nanohybrid of NOV-IL-MXene endows excellent contact between MXene and NOV,thereby enhanced charge transfer is observed at ***,the as-synthesized NOV-IL-MXene cathodes exhibit high discharge capacity of 413 mA·h·g^(-1) at 0.2.A·g^(-1) even at high mass loading of 5.2.mg·cm^(-2.,remarkable rate performance of 182.mA·h·g^(-1) at 10 A·g^(-1),and impressive cycling stability of 94%capacity retention after 2.00 *** work opens up new opportunities to develop advanced polyoxovanadate hybrid cathodes for low-cost and high-performance aqueous ZIBs.
