Penpulimab is an anti-programmed cell death-1(PD-1)IgG1 antibody with no Fc gamma receptor(FcγR)binding activity,and thus theoretically reduced immune-related adverse events(irAEs)while maintaining *** single-arm,phase II trial conducted across 20 tertiary care centers in china enrolled adult patients with metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)who had failed two or more lines of previous systemic *** received 200-mg penpulimab intravenously every 2 weeks(4 weeks per cycle)until disease progression or intolerable *** primary endpoint was objective response rate(ORR)per RECIST(version 1.1),as assessed by an independent radiological review *** secondary endpoints included progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS).One hundred thirty patients were enrolled and 125 were efficacy *** the data cutoff date(September 28,2022),1 patient achieved complete response and 34 patients attained partial *** ORR was 28.0%(95%CI 20.3–36.7%).The response was durable,with 66.8%still in response at 9 ***-three patients(26.4%)were still on *** median PFS and OS were 3.6 months(95%CI=1.9–7.3 months)and 22.8 months(95%CI=17.1 months to not reached),***(7.6%)patients experienced grade 3 or higher *** has promising anti-tumor activities and acceptable toxicities in heavily pretreated metastatic NPC patients,supporting further clinical development as third-line treatment of metastatic NPC.

AIM:To explore the usage of choroidal thickness measured by swept-source optical coherence tomography(SS-OCT)to detect myopic macular degeneration(MMD)in high myopic ***:Participants with bilateral high myopia(≤−6 diopters)were recruited from a subset of the guangzhou zhongshan Ophthalmic Center-Brien Holden Vision Institute High Myopia Cohort ***-OCT was performed to determine the choroidal thickness,and myopic maculopathy was graded by the International Meta-Analysis for Pathologic Myopia(META-PM)Classiﬁ*** of MMD was defined as META-PM category 2 or ***:A total of 568 right eyes were included for *** with MMD(n=106,18.7%)were found to have older age,longer axial lengths(AL),higher myopic spherical equivalents(SE),and reduced choroidal thickness in each Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study(ETDRS)grid sector(P<0.001).The area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves(AUC)for subfoveal choroidal thickness(0.907)was greater than that of the model,including age,AL,and SE at 0.6249,0.8208,and 0.8205,*** choroidal thickness of the inner and outer nasal sectors was the most accurate indicator of MMD(AUC of 0.928 and 0.923,respectively).An outer nasal sector choroidal thickness of less than 74μm demonstrated the highest odds of predicting MMD(OR=33.8).CONCLUSION:Choroidal thickness detects the presence of MMD with high agreement,particularly of the inner and outer nasal sectors of the posterior pole,which appears to be a biometric parameter more precise than age,AL,or SE.

Current guidelines encourage large studies in a diverse population to establish normal reference ranges for three-dimensional(3D)echocardiography for different ethnic *** study was designed to establish the normal values of 3D-left ventricular(LV)and left atrial(LA)volume and function in a nationwide,population-based cohort of healthy Han Chinese adults.A total of 1117 healthy volunteers aged 18–89 years were enrolled from 28 collaborating laboratories in *** sets of 3D echocardiographic instruments were used,and full-volume echocardiographic images were recorded and transmitted to a core laboratory for image analysis with a vendor-independent off-line ***,866 volunteers(mean age of 48.4 years,402 men)were qualified for final *** parameters exhibited substantial differences between different sex and age groups,even after indexation by body surface *** normal ranges of 3D-LV and 3D-LA volume and function differed from those recommended by the American Society of Echocardiography and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging guidelines,presented by the World Alliance Societies of Echocardiography(WASE)study,and from the 2D values in the EMINCA *** normal reference values of 3D echocardiography-derived LV and LA volume and function were established for the first time in healthy Han Chinese *** ranges of 3D-LV and 3D-LA echocardiographic measurements stratified with sex,age,and race should be recommended for clinical applications.

Shanghai Gynecologic Oncology Group (SGOG, www. ***), established in 2009, is a non-profit organization of clinical research and the full member of Gynecology Cancer Intergroup (GCIG) since 2012. It was guided by Drs. Jinghe Lang (china), Gavin Stuart (Canada) (2009-2020); Drs. Jinghe Lang (china), Ding Ma (china) (2021-) and was supported by Dr. Zeyi Cao (2009-2012). The mission of SGOG is to actively promote the investigator-initiated trial (IIT) in gynecologic cancers, particularly the innovative phase II clinical trials. Followed by the high quality of management in investigators’ training, trial development, human resources, and research funding, SGOG has initiated phase III clinical trials to improve the future clinical practice. SGOG aims to obtain reliable data by conducting systematic, standardized, and high-quality clinical trials, to guide the clinical practice of ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, and cervical cancer in china. SGOG holds group meetings twice a year, and actively participates in GCIG international communication and cooperation that expands its international and national influence in the field of clinical research in gynecologic cancers. This coordination is not only particularly relevant between academic groups but also with national and/or international industry partners.

Aims:Surveys and research on the applications of the hepatic venous pressure gradient(HVPG)are important for understanding the current status and future development of this technology in *** article aimed to investigate the status of hepatic venous pressure gradient measurement in china in ***:We investigated the overall status of HVPG technology in china-including hospital distribution,hospital level,annual number of cases,catheters used,average cost,indications,and current challenges by using online *** counting the number and percentages of cases of these results,we hope to clarify the current status of HVPG measurements in ***:According to the survey,85 hospitals in china used HVPG technology in 2022 distributed across 29 provinces.A total of 4989 HVPG measurements were performed in all of the surveyed hospitals in 2022,of which 2813 cases(56.4%)were measured *** average cost of HVPG measurement was 5646.8±2327.9 *** the clinical teams who performed the measurements(sometimes multiple per hospital),94.3%(82/87)used the balloon method,and the majority of the teams(72.4%,63/87)used embolectomy ***:This survey clarified the clinical application status of HVPG in china and confirmed that some medical institutions in china have established a foundation for this *** is still necessary to continue promoting and popularizing this technology in the future.

目的了解珠三角地区常住老年人养老需求、服务偏好及养老倾向的城乡差异,为科学规划和配置城乡养老资源提供参考。方法采用多阶段分层随机抽样方法,在珠三角地区选取2个地级市的7个社区卫生服务中心,对到中心就诊的1919名60岁及以上的城乡常住老年人进行有关养老需求、服务偏好及养老倾向的问卷调查。结果共调查珠三角地区城市老年人641人(33.4%),农村老年人1278人(66.6%);城市老年人和农村老年人的子女情况(χ^(2)=43.379,P<0.001)、对社会化养老服务项目的购买意愿(χ^(2)=104.141,P<0.001)和对养儿防老观念的态度(χ^(2)=65.632,P<0.001)差异均有统计学意义;农村老年人偏好家庭养老的比例(71.8%)显著高于城市老年人(57.1%)(χ^(2)=41.373,P<0.001);城市老年人明确表示倾向于选择机构养老的比例(62.2%)显著高于农村老年人(44.0%)(χ^(2)=57.007,P<0.001)。以家庭养老为参照,城市老年人中家庭月收入与支出有余和基本持平的选择机构养老和社区居家养老的倾向均更低,城市男性、大专及以上文化程度、有购买社会化养老服务项目需求的老年人更偏好社区居家养老;本地户籍的农村老年人更倾向于选择机构养老和社区居家养老,非独生子女、对生活状况感到满意的农村老年人选择社区居家养老的意愿更低。结论应充分考虑老年人在养老需求、服务偏好及养老倾向存在的城乡差异,科学规划和合理配置城乡养老资源,结合城乡地区特点因地制宜发展多元化的社会养老服务。

The increasing prevalence of diabetes has become a global public health concern in the 21st *** 2021,it was estimated that 537 million people had diabetes,and this number is projected to reach 643 million by 2030,and 783 million by 2045[1].Such a huge burden of diabetes brings great challenges in its prevention and management,including early diagnosis,timely interventions,and regular monitoring of risk factor control and complications *** self-care support and patient empowerment can enhance clinical and psychobehavioural outcomes[2],although these require additional resources including manpower,infrastructure(hard and technology),and *** emergence of digital health technologies(DHTs),especially artificial intelligence(AI),may help address these obstacles and alleviate the burden of diabetes[3].Large language models(LLMs),a generative AI that can accept image and text inputs and produce text outputs,have shown promise in various aspects of medical care.
