Stimuli-responsive hydrogel is regarded as one of the most promising smart soft materials for the next-generation advanced technologies and intelligence robots,but the limited variety of stimulus has become a non-negligible issue restricting its further ***,we develop a new stimulus of“touch”(i.e.,spatial contact with foreign object)for smart materials and propose a flytrap-inspired touch-responsive polymeric hydrogel based on supersaturated salt solution,exhibiting multiple responsive behaviors in crystallization,heat releasing,and electric signal under touch ***,utilizing flytrap-like cascade response strategy,a soft actuator with touch-responsive actuation is fabricated by employing the touch-responsive hydrogel and the thermo-responsive *** investigation provides a facile and versatile strategy to design touch-responsive smart materials,enabling a profound potential application in intelligence areas.

Interactions between anions and cations are important for understanding the behaviors of chemical pollutants and their potential risks in the *** we prepared soil aggregates of a yellow paddy soil from the Taihu Lake region,and investigated the effects of phosphate（P） pretreatment on adsorption-desorption of Cu2＋ of soil aggregates,free iron oxyhydrates-removed soil aggregates,goethite,and kaolinite with batch adsorption *** results showed that Cu2＋ adsorption was reduced on the aggregates pretreated with low concentrations of P,and promoted with high concentrations of P,showing a V-shaped *** with the untreated aggregates,the adsorption capacity of Cu2＋ was reduced when P application rates were lower than 260,220,130 and110 mg/kg for coarse,clay,silt and fine sand fractions,*** the contrary,the adsorption capacity of Cu2＋ was higher on P-pretreated soil aggregates than on the control ones when P application rates were greater than those ***,the desorption of Cu2＋ was enhanced at low levels of P,but suppressed at high levels of P,displaying an inverted V-shaped change over P *** Cu2＋ adsorption by the aggregate particles with and without P pretreatments was well described by the Freundlich *** results were obtained on P-pretreated ***,such P effects on Cu2＋adsorption-desorption were not observed on kaolinite and free iron oxyhydrates-removed soil *** present results indicate that goethite is one of the main soil substances responsible for the P-induced promotion and inhibition of Cu2＋ adsorption.

Lanthanide coordinated multicolor fluorescent polymeric hydrogels(MFPHs)are quite promising for various applications because of their sharp fluorescence bands and high color ***,few attempts have been carried out to locally regulate their fluorescence switching or shape deforming behaviors,but such studies are very useful for patterned materials with disparate ***,the picolinate moieties that can sensitize Tb^(3+)/Eu^(3+)luminescence via antenna effect were chemically introduced into interpenetrating double networks to produce a robust kind of lanthanide coordinated *** varying the doping ratio of Tb^(3+)/Eu^(3+),fluorescence colors of the obtained hydrogels were continuously regulated from green to orange and then ***,spatial fluorescence color control within the hydrogel matrix could be facilely realized by controlled diffusion of Tb^(3+)/Eu^(3+)ions,producing a number of 2D hydrogel objects with local multicolor fluorescent ***,the differential swelling capacities between the fluorescent patterned and non-fluorescent parts led to interesting 2D-to-3D shape deformation to give well-defined multicolor fluorescent 3D hydrogel *** on these results,bio-inspired synergistic color/shape changeable actuators were *** present study provided a promising strategy to achieve the local fluorescence and shape control within lanthanide coordinated hydrogels,and is expected to be expanded for fabricating useful patterned materials with disparate functions.

SiC particle(SiCp)/Al composite materials were fabricated via powder packed resistance seam welding additive *** influence of welding speed on microstructure and mechanical properties of the specimen was investigated,elucidating the formation and fracture mechanism of single-pass multi-layer *** results demonstrate that a dense internal structure of the specimen characterized by uniformly dispersed SiCp embedded within the Al matrix is ***,particle agglomeration and porosity defects are *** porosity increases with the increase in welding speed,and the microstructure of the RSAM-24 specimen has the highest density,characterized by a density of 2.706 g/cm^(3)and a porosity of 1.672%.The mechanical properties of the specimens decrease as the welding speed *** mechanical properties are obtained when the welding speed is set as 24 cm/***,the average hardness,tensile strength and elongation values are 463.736 MPa,52.16 MPa and 2.2%,*** tensile specimens predominantly exhibit fracture along the interlayer bonding interface and the interface between the Al matrix and SiC particles,and the damage mode is ductile fracture.

In this paper, the delay-probability-distribution-dependent stability problem for stochastic neural networks with various time-varying delays is investigated. By considering a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional（LKF） concluding more delaypartitioning term and combining free weight matrices and stochastic processing techniques, an improved delay-probabilitydistribution-dependent condition is built in terms of linear matrix inequality（LMI） so that the system is mean square ***, a numerical example is given to verify the effectiveness the proposed criterion.

Maize(Zea mays)endosperm filling is coordinated with cell expansion to enlarge the grain size,but the mechanism coupling the two processes is poorly *** endosperm cells basically contain no visible vacuoles for cell *** grain filling,efficient synthesis of storage compounds leads to reduced cytoplasm and thus lowered cell turgor *** bioactive gibberellins(GAs)are essential for cell expansion,they accumulate at a low level at this *** this study,we identified an endosperm-specific GRAS domain-containing protein(ZmGRAS11)that lacks the DELLA domain and promotes cell expansion in the filling *** zmgras11 loss-of-function mutants showed normal grain filling but delayed cell expansion,thereby resulting in reduced kernel size and *** of ZmGRAS11 led to larger endosperm cells and therefore increased kernel size and *** with this,ZmGRAS11 positively regulates the expression of ZmEXPB12,which is essential for cell expansion,at the endosperm filling ***,we found that Opaque2(O2),a central transcription factor that regulates endosperm filling,could directly bind to the promoter of ZmGRAS11 and activate its *** together,these results suggest that endosperm cell expansion is coupled with endosperm filling,which is orchestrated by the O2-ZmGRAS11-centered transcriptional regulatory *** findings also provide potential targets for maize yield improvement by increasing the storage capacity of endosperm cells.
