This paper has proposed a generalized quantum state sharing protocol of an arbitrary two-particle state using non-maximally GHZ states and generalized Bell state *** sender Alice performs two-particle generalized Bell state measurements on her two particles in the state sharing process and the controller takes measurements on his particles and transfers the quantum information to the receiver with entanglement swapping by the cooperation of the other *** is found that the use of nonmaximally entangled state in quantum state sharing has enabled the secure sharing of the quantum state.

In commercial networks,user nodes operating on batteries are assumed to be selfish to consume their energy solely to maximize their own benefits,e.g.,data *** this paper,we propose a bargaining game to perform the power allocation for the selfish cooperative communication *** our system,two partner nodes can act as a source as well as a relay for each other,and each node is with an energy constraint to transmit one *** a selfish node is willing to seek cooperative transmission only if the data rate achieved through cooperation will not lower than that achieved through noncooperation by using the same amount of *** energy-efficient power allocation problem can be modeled as a cooperative *** proved that there exists a unique Nash bargaining solution (NBS) for the game by verifying that the game is indeed a bargaining ***,the two objectives,i.e.,system efficiency and user fairness specified in the selfish networks can be *** results show that the NBS scheme is efficient in that the performance loss of the NBS scheme to that of the maximal overall rate scheme is small while the maximal-rate scheme is *** simulation results also show that the NBS result is fair in that both nodes could experience better performance than they work independently and the degree of cooperation of a node only depends on how much contribution its partner can make to improve its own performance.

This paper introduces dynamic paravirtualization, which imitates paravirtualization and aims at reducing VM exits of full virtualization with hardware support. In dynamic paravirtualization, VMM (virtual machine monitor) dynamically monitors and replaces the hot instructions, which cause most VM exits. It is transparent to the guest OS such that the legacy OSes can benefit from this optimization. Our study focuses on reducing the overhead of memory virtualization-dynamic memory paravirtualization (DMP). We implant a new memory management mechanism in VMM such that all user-mode page faults can be handled by the guest OS directly without VM exits. We implement a prototype of dynamic memory paravirtulization based on a version of KVM using Intel VT. Our experimental results show that our technique essentially eliminates the overhead of VM exits caused by page faults. Dynamic memory paravirtualization can achieve the effectiveness of paravirtualization without changing the source code of guest OS.

A dual-kernel-based tracking approach for visual target is proposed in this paper. The similarity between candidate and target model, and the contrast between candidate and its neighboring background are considered simultaneously when evaluating a target candidate. The similarity is measured by Bhattacharyya coefficient while the contrast is calculated with Jensen-Shannon divergence, and they are adaptively fused into a novel objective function. By maximizing the linear approximation of objective function, a dual-kernel target location-shift relation from current location to a new location is induced. According to the location-shift relation, the optimal target location can be recursively gained in the mean shift procedure. Experimental evaluations on several image sequences demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can gain more accurate target location and better identification power to false target, and it is also robust to deformation and partial occlusion.

Object discrimination is a fundamental cognitive function for human brains. In this study, we utilized an analysis approach for single-trial electroencephalography (EEG) to analyze the spatio-temporal activation patterns of visual objects processing in human brains, and attempted to apply it to discriminate different visual objects. The spatial patterns were respectively extracted from scalp EEG and the reconstructed cortical sources, while the experiment participants were perceiving 4 different categories of visual objects (faces, buildings, cats and cars). By classifying the patterns extracted from single-trial EEG, the presented visual objects could be discriminated by a computer, and the classification accuracies may provide a quantitative index to evaluate the spatial differences of the brain activations related to different visual objects. Our results demonstrated that the spatial patterns on both the scalp and the sources levels resulted in higher classification accuracies than chance rate. We also examined the classification results using temporally non-overlapping time intervals of different event-related potential (ERP) components. The temporal changes of classification accuracies may reflect the temporal distribution of the discriminative information in the EEG responses. The present pattern extraction and classification methods may compose a computational model for single-trial EEG data analysis in investigations of the spatio-temporal activation patterns for object recognition. These spatio-temporal patterns in EEG may be useful to identifying the discriminative spatial areas and time stages to improve the accuracies and efficiencies of object discrimination. In addition, investiga{1. and utilizing humans'cognitive mechanisms of object recognition may improve computers' processing efficiency of visual information.

In terms of mineral transformation, and chemical composition of acid-soluble component as a function of reaction time, the effect of alkaline solution on zeolite-like fly ash was studied by employing fly ash and NaOH solution as starting materials. When fly ash and 1.1. mol/L NaOH solution were processed at 1.0 degreesC for {1. h with 1.1. W/S ratio in a relatively closed system, powder XRD patterns of resulting products indicated the formation of various zeolites. Zeolite P crystallized early at low alkaline concentration, which was replaced then by zeolites X and A. At high concentration, hydroxy sodalite was the only new phase. Quartz, in fly ash and NaOH solution system, gradually dissolved, and mullite, however, remained stable. It was concluded that, with Al/Si and Na/Si finally reaching equilibrium in molar ratio, composition of starting mixtures affects the crystallization of zeolite from fly ash.

Rapid progress in high-throughput biotechnologies (e.g. microarrays) and exponential accumulation of gene functional knowledge makes it promising for systematic understanding of complex human diseases at the functional modules level. Current modular categorizations can be defined and selected more specifically and precisely in terms of both biological processes and cellular locations, aiming at uncovering the modular molecular networks highly relevant to cancers. Based on Gene Ontology, we identifed the functional modules enriched with differentially expressed genes and characterized by biological processes and specific cellular locations. Then, according to the ranking of the disease discriminating abilities of the pre-selected functional modules, we further defined and filtered signature modules which have higher relevance to the cancer under study. Applications of the proposed method to the analysis of a prostate cancer dataset revealed insightful biological modules.

Pulsed thermography(PT) as a non-contact non-destructive evaluation(NDE) technique was employed to examine as-sprayed air plasma spray(APS) thermal barrier coatings(TBCs) for quality *** and micro-structural characteristics play a vital role in determining the *** this paper,PT logarithmic peak second-derivative method was adopted to measure the thickness of top *** dependent thermal images were used to characterize the microstructure which was confirmed by scanning electron microscope(SEM).The results showed that there was relationship between the temperature distribution of the surface and microstructure change in *** distribution in thermal images and measurement results of thickness were in fairly good agreement with the microstructure *** can be concluded that it was possible to employ these NDE methods as quality evaluation for as-sprayed TBCs.
