To the Editor:Medicinal plants have the ability to synthesize a large number of pharmaceutical metabolites,the production and regulation of which are influenced by both intrinsic signals(e.g.,the spatial and temporal stage)and extrinsic environmental conditions(e.g.,temperature,light availability,and water availability)*** to the Encyclopedia of DNA Elements(ENCODE)project2.accessible chromatin regions(ACRs)served essential roles in maintaining the genome architecture and gene regulation in both mammals and ***,identifying ACRs within medicinal plant genomes remains a challenge,as genomic sequences have been determined for numerous species yet the characterization of such functional elements *** this study,we selected Andrographis paniculata(APA){1.as a model system to map ACRs genome-wide by the assay for transposase-accessible chromatin with sequencing(ATAC-seq)*** aimed to uncover the genomic features of ACRs as well as their association with the expression of genes involved in secondary metabolite biosynthesis(e.g.,andrographolide)within medicinal plants(Supporting Information Fig.S1..

We briefly reviewed the experimental study on a-delayed proton decays near the proton drip line published by our group during the period of 1.96―2.04, namely the first observation of the a-delayed proton decays of 9 new nuclides in the rare-earth region and the new measurements of a-delayed proton decays of 5 nuclides in the mass ～90 region near the N = Z line with the aid of the “p-?” coincidence in combination with a He-jet tape transport system. In the meantime some important experimental technique details were supplemented. The experimental results, including the half -lives, spins, parities, deformations and production reaction cross sections for the 1. nuclei were summarized and compared with the current nuclear-model predictions, and then the following points were represented. (1. The experimental half-lives for 85Mo and 92.h as well as the predicted “waiting point” nuclei 89Ru and 93.d are 5―1. times longer than the theoretical predictions given by M?ller et al. using a macroscopic-microscopic model. It considerably influences the predictions of the abundances of the nuclides produced in the rp-process. (2. The current-model predictions are not consistent with the experimental assignments of the spins and parities for the proton drip-line nuclei 1.2.o and 1.0}Pm. However, the nuclear potential energy surface (PES) calculated by using a Woods- Saxon-Strutinsky method reproduced the experimental results. (3. The Alice code overestimated the production reaction cross sections of the studied 9 rare-earth nuclei by one order of magnitude or two, while HIVAP code overestimated them by one order of magnitude approximately.

Hyperoside and quercetin are similar in molecular *** this study,the antioxidant regulatory targets of hyperoside and quercetin are mainly in the nuclear factor(erythroid-2.derived)-related factor 2.Nrf2.pathway predicted by network *** the antioxidant effect and mechanism of hyperoside and quercetin were measured and compared in H_(2.O_(2.-induced Hep G2.cells and Caenorhabditis *** findings indicated that quercetin was more effective than hyperoside in reducing oxidative damage,which was proved by improved cell viability,decreased reactive oxygen species(ROS)production,decreased cellular apoptosis,and alleviated mitochondrial *** addition,quercetin was more efficient than hyperoside in enhancing the expression of Nrf2.associated m RNAs,increasing the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),and catalase(CAT),and reducing the cellular malondialdehyde(MDA)*** was superior to hyperoside in prolonging the lifespan of worms,decreasing the accumulation of lipofuscin,inhibiting ROS production,and increasing the proportion of skn-1.in the *** the Nrf2.inhibitor ML3.5,we verified that quercetin and hyperoside primarily protected the cells against oxidative damage via the Nrf2.signalling ***,molecular docking and dynamics simulations demonstrated that the quercetin-Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1.Keap1.complex was more stable than the hyperoside-Keap1.*** stable structure of the complex might hinder the binding of Nrf2.and Keap1.to release Nrf2.and facilitate its entry into the nucleus to play an antioxidant ***,quercetin had a better antioxidant than hyperoside.

Objective:The prevalence and the cluster characteristics of risk factors of stroke were assessed in a Chinese diabetic ***:Clinical data of 3. 693.inpatients who were diagnosed with type 2.diabetes mellitus(T2.M)and admitted between 2.1.0}and 2.1. were retrospectively *** age-standardized prevalence of stroke was estimated using the 2.1. Chinese population census data,and risk factors were analyzed by multiple imputation and ***:The crude and standardized prevalence rates of stroke in patients with T2.M were 3..4％and 2..5％,respectively,and 85.2.of the stroke patients had ischemic *** half of the patients who experienced stroke had clusters of more than 4 risk *** with no-risk-factor clustering,the risk of stroke significantly increased 3.4 times in the presence of more than 4 risk-factor clusters(P＜0.001..Hypertension was the most common major risk factor for ischemic stroke[odds ratio(OR),2.3.;95％confidence interval(CI),2.1.-2.50]and hemorrhagic stroke(OR,3.68;95％CI 2.95-4.59;P＜0.001..Moreover,a 1.standard-deviation increase in fasting blood glucose(FBG)was significantly negatively correlated with ischemic stroke risk,and the same change in FBG was significantly associated with an 8％increased risk of hemorrhagic ***:The prevalence of stroke in patients with T2.M is rather high,and the clustering of risk factors is associated with the development of stroke in T2.M *** factors differ in different stroke *** risk factors for a specific high-risk group is necessary.

Naringin exists in a wide range of Chinese herbal medicine and has proven to possess several pharmacological *** this study,PC1.0}HepG2.cells,and female Drosophila melanogaster were used to investigate the antioxidative and anti-aging effects of naringin and explore the underlying *** results showed that naringin inhibited H_(2.O_(2.-induced decline in cell viability and decreased,the content of reactive oxygen species in ***,naringin prolonged the lifespan of flies,enhanced the abilities of climbing and the resistance to stress,improved the activities of antioxidant enzymes,and decreased malondialdehyde *** also improved intestinal barrier dysfunction and reduced abnormal proliferation of intestinal stem ***,naringin down-regulated the mRNA expressions of inr,chico,pi 3.,and akt-1.and up-regulated the mRNA expressions of dilp2.dilp3.dilp5,and foxo,thereby activating autophagy-related genes and increasing the number of ***,the mutant stocks assays and computer molecular simulation results further indicated that naringin delayed aging by inhibiting the insulin signaling(IIS)pathway and activating the autophagy pathway,which was consistent with the result of network pharmacological predictions.

The values of grains containing oil inclusions(GOI) in 1.0} reservoir sandstone samples from the central Junggar Basin of Northwest {1. were *** sandstones are characterized by different types of hydrocarbon production and *** values range from 0.01.%to 1..9%,and show a fairly good correlation with the hydrocarbon production/shows,which are qualitatively suggestive of reservoir hydrocarbon abundance and petroleum ***,it may be implied that the values can reflect hydrocarbon migration,being not controlled mainly by the other influencing *** correlation between the values and the reservoir hydrocarbon production and show types indicates that the GOI method can be used in hydrocarbon migration study when the petroleum type of a reservoir is normal oil or gas alone,but it should be used with caution when light oil charges the reservoirs or a complex hydrocarbon migration event takes *** case study in the central Junggar Basin using the method presents some new understanding on hydrocarbon ***, the method may help to solve specific petroleum geological problems,and can be treated as a routine tool in hydrocarbon migration study.

Here, we report an observation that illustrate the potential of polyelectrolyte microgels in salt-free solutions to display a high ionic conductivity. Laser light scattering and ionic conductivity tests on very dilute aqueous dispersions of the microgels indicate that both small size and swollen state of gel particles play vital roles, which should favor the counterions to freely penetrate and leave gel particles, and thus can contribute to the ion-conducting property. Upon discovering this on microgels that are composed of imidazolium-based poly(ionic liquid), we also illustrate the generality of the finding to single lithium-ion polyelectrolyte microgels that are of more technically relevant features for applications, for instance, as injectable liquid “microgel-in-solution” electrolytes of high conductivity(ca. 8.2.× 1.^(-2.S/m at 2..0 ℃ for1.0 × 1.^(-2.g/m L of microgels in a LiNO_(3.-free 1.1.v/v mixture of 1.2.dioxolane and dimethoxymethane) and high lithium-ion transference number(0.87) for use in the rechargeable lithium-sulfur battery.

By using a piston-cylinder type hydrostatic high-pressure unit, the electrical dc conductance of bulk C 60 single crystal was measured in the pressure range of 0 to 0.6 GPa at 2.0 K. With increasing pressure, a discontinuous increase of the conductance was observed at the pressure of 0.1.6 GPa, which can be ascribed to the orientational ordering phase transition. In the simple cubic phase, the increase of conductance with increasing pressure is faster than that in the face-centered-cubic phase.
