Cycladophora davisiana (Radiolarian) contents are counted in two cores of the Ber-ing Sea and correlated well with the oxygen isotopic records of ice in the deep core obtained by the Greenland Ice Sheet Project II (GISP 2) and deep-sea sediments (SPECMAP) of the world oceans. Millennial scale climatic events, for example, Younge Dryas and B?lling/Aller?d events, Heinrich1.and Dansgaard-Oeschger1.vents, recorded by C. davisiana percents are distin-guished from Core B4-2. C. davisiana events b, c1. c2, d, e1.and e2, respectively, corresponding to oxygen isotopic 2.0, 3.1. 3.3, 4.0, 5.1.and 5.3, are identified from Core B2-9. High resolution re-cords of C. davisian are tuned to the oxygen isotopic records in GISP 2 and SPECMAP and the depth-age frameworks are established in the two cores, supplying a stratigraphic base for future paleoceanographic and paleoclimatic studies. High C. davisiana during the glacial periods in the two cores indicate that they can serve as a proxy of the glacial Subarctic Pacific Intermediate Water, which verifies the glacial Subarctic Pacific Intermediate Water brought from the Bering Sea.

The deep sea records from the ODP Sites 1.43 and 1.44 in the northern and southern South china Sea (SCS), including foraminiferal δ 1.O and δ 1.C, Opal% and pollen percentage, reveal that the variations of the east Asian monsoon have been closely correlated with the variations of the Earth’s orbital parameters (eccentricity, obliquity and precession) and the global ice volume on orbital scale. All the monsoonal proxies show strong 1.0 ka, 41.ka and 23 ka cycles. Although G. ruber δ 1.C of Site 1.43 is coherent with the ETP (ETP= normalized (eccentricity + obliquity-precession) at eccentricity, obliquity and precession bands, most of the coherent relationship focuses on the precession band, and the other monsoonal proxies are coherent with the ETP only at the precession band, which indicate that precession dominates the Pleistocene tropical climate changes. The phase relationship of the monsoonal proxies with the foraminiferal δ 1.O implies that the global ice volume changes have played a significant role in modulating the east Asian monsoon climate, at least dominating the winter monsoon. This forcing mechanism of the east Asian monsoon is apparently different from that of the Indian ocean mon-soon. The variations of the east Asian monsoon at the precession band, at least that of the winter monsoon, have been controlled not only by the sensible heating but also by the latent heating of the surface water in the South china Sea.

Based on the quantitative analyses of abundance of planktonic foraminifera, benthic foraminifera, calcareous nannofossils, the ratios of calcareous to siliceous microfossils, and the determination of carbonate contents in the surface sediments of the northeastern South china Sea, it has been found that the carbonate contents, the abundance of planktonic foraminifera and calcareous nannoplankton, and the ratio of calcareous microfossils decrease rapidly while the ratio of the benthic foraminifera to the total foraminiferal fauna, specific value of siliceous microfossils, and the percentage of the agglutinated tests in the benthic foraminiferal fauna increase with the water depth. The results indicate that the microfossils abundance and ratio, and the carbonate content are closely related to the carbonate lysocline and carbonate compensation depth (CCD) in the study area. In addition, the carbonate lysocline and the CCD are different between the southern and northern parts of the South china Sea. Both the lysocline and the CCD are deeper in the south with 2 600 and 3 600 m than in the north with 2 200 and 3 400 m, respectively.

Seasonal variations of radiolarian and diatom fluxes in the central South china Sea during 1.93-1.95 were overwhelmingly controlled by monsoon climate. Radiolarian and diatom increased obviously during the Northeast (from November to February) and Southwest (from June to September) monsoons and decreased during the periods between the monsoons. The change of circulation driven by the monsoons improved water exchange in the different areas that brought rich nutrient materials for the surface microplankton, thereby enhancing radiolarian and diatom fluxes. Variation of radiolarian flux coincided with organic carbon flux, surface primary and export productivities. High radiolarian flux corresponded to high surface primary productivity. Radiolarian and diatom fluxes raised abnormally during 1.94-1.95 could be attributed to the El Nino event during the period.

Samples of sediments and the overlying water were collected in the Qi＇ao Island coastal zone,the Zhujiang（Pearl River） Estuary（ZE）.Denitrification rates,sediment oxygen demand（SOD）,and fluxes of inorganic nitrogen compounds were investigated with N2 flux method,using a self-designed continuous flow through and auto-sampling *** results indicate that the denitrification rates varied between 222 and 908 μmol/（m2·h） with an average of 499 μmol /（m2·h）.During incubation,the sediments absorbed dissolved oxygen in the overlying water with SOD ranging from 300 to 2 363 μmol/（m2·h）.The denitrification rates were highly correlated with the SOD（r2=0.77） regardless of the NO-3＋NO-2 concentrations in the overlying water,organic carbon contents in sediments and water temperature,suggesting that the SOD was probably the main environmental factor controlling the denitrification in the Qi＇ao Island coastal *** was a net flux of NO-3＋NO-2 into the sediments from the overlying *** NH＋4 flux from sediments into water as the result of mineralization was between 1..3 and 21..3 μmol/（m2·h）,which seems limited by both organic carbon content in sediment and dissolved oxygen concentration in the overlying water.

Fifty-six samples of nannofossil ooze were collected from Core PC5794 in the northern equatorial Pacific at 5 cm intervals. With the methods of mass spectrometer (VG354) and ICP, the Nd isotopic compositions (εNd(t)), Mn contents and Mg/Sr ratios of carbonate phase have been analyzed. CaCO3 contents of bulk sediments were obtained by dissolution of 0.5 mol/L HCl. Based on these data, the high-resolution εNd(t) profile of seawater in early Miocene with core depth(or time) have been established. The values of εNd(t) range from -6.2 to -2.97 and 4 fluctuation cycles existed during 24.06-22.02 Ma. 4 low εNd(t) values (about -6.4) correspond to high CaCO3 contents, which implicates that there were 4 cold epochs or 4 times of Antarctic Bottom Water activity. They occurred at the time of 24.06 Ma, 23.85 Ma,22.88 Ma and 22.26 Ma, respectively. High εNd(t) values correspond to the high Mn contents and high values of Mg/Sr ratio, which indicates the existence of 4 intense hydrothermal activity periods during 24.06-22 Ma, the durations of them are 4.05-23.98 Ma, 23.69-23.1. Ma, 22.74-22.37 Ma and 22.06-22.02 Ma, respectively.

Quantitative analytic results of the biogenic components in Core B2-9 fromthe northern Bering Sea slope indicate that the coarse fraction and opal content, serving as proxiesof surface productivity, have increased stepwise since the marine isotope stageCMISJS.S, reflectingperiodic enhancement in surface *** surface productivity attained its highest levelduring the Holocene, followed by MIS 3.2 to 2 and then MIS 5.3 to 3.3 with a lowest level. Hightotal organic carbon(TOC) contents, together with high C/N ratios, which stand mostly between 7 and20, show that the TOC was deposited from mixing sources. Therefore,one has to be cautious to use TOCas a proxy of surface *** high TOC and C/N ratio during MIS 5.1. 3.3 to 3.2 and theHolocene reflect that the terrigenous organic matter input increased during *** in the fine- and silt-grained terrigenous components from MIS 5.3 to the middleHolocene imply that with the cooling climate, sea ice on the Bering Sea slope extended ***-rafted and charcoal detritus increased during glacial, interstadial and the last deglaciationperiods and decreased during interglacial periods, suggesting that sea ice on the slope increasedand melted, respectively, during glacial and interglacial periods. The extension of sea ice duringglacial *** was linked with the climate over the North American Continent, responded toglobal climate change during late Quaternary glacial and interglacial cycles.

文章就碳酸盐岩烃源岩有机质丰度下限标准、有机质的赋存形式、生烃机制与生烃模式等方面的研究现状、主要进展进行讨论。目前对有机质丰度下限认识不一 ,石油勘探部门所采用的标准也很低 ,应用效果不理想 ,进而提出以 0 .5 %作为下限标准 ,现场应用效果很好。在成岩演化过程中 ,不同赋存形式的有机质相互转变 ,在不同演化阶段的生烃量和生烃类型也存在较大差异。生烃模式的研究主要采用干法、加水以及小玻管热模拟实验 ,提出了“三段式”生烃模式 ,发现不同赋存状态的有机质地球化学特征不同。文章对于一些碳酸盐岩生烃研究热点问题的讨论希冀引起人们对碳酸盐岩生烃问题的关注 ,进而推动我国海相碳酸盐岩的基础理论研究。
