Image Feature Extraction and Matching of Augmented Solar Images in Space Weather

Augmented solar images were used to research the adaptability of four representative image extraction and matching algorithms in space weather domain.These include the scale-invariant feature transform algorithm,speeded-up robust features algorithm,binary robust invariant scalable keypoints algorithm,and oriented fast and rotated brief algorithm.The performance of these algorithms was estimated in terms of matching accuracy,feature point richness,and running time.The experiment result showed that no algorithm achieved high accuracy while keeping low running time,and all algorithms are not suitable for image feature extraction and matching of augmented solar images.To solve this problem,an improved method was proposed by using two-frame matching to utilize the accuracy advantage of the scale-invariant feature transform algorithm and the speed advantage of the oriented fast and rotated brief algorithm.Furthermore,our method and the four representative algorithms were applied to augmented solar images.Our application experiments proved that our method achieved a similar high recognition rate to the scale-invariant feature transform algorithm which is significantly higher than other algorithms.Our method also obtained a similar low running time to the oriented fast and rotated brief algorithm,which is significantly lower than other algorithms.

Hybrid electric vehicles(HEVs)are acknowledged to be an effective way to improve the efficiency of internal combustion engines(ICEs)and reduce fuel consumption.Although the ICE in an HEV can maintain high efficiency during driving,its thermal efficiency is approximately 40%,and the rest of the fuel energy is discharged through different kinds of waste heat.Therefore,it is important to recover the engine waste heat.Because of the great waste heat recovery performance of the organic Rankine cycle(ORC),an HEV integrated with an ORC(HEV-ORC)has been proposed.However,the addition of ORC creates a stiff and multi-energy problem,greatly increasing the complexity of the energy management system(EMS).Considering the great potential of deep reinforcement learning(DRL)for solving complex control problems,this work proposes a DRL-based EMS for an HEV-ORC.The simulation results demonstrate that the DRL-based EMS can save 2%more fuel energy than the rule-based EMS because the former provides higher average efficiencies for both engine and motor,as well as more stable ORC power and battery state.Furthermore,the battery always has sufficient capacity to store the ORC power.Consequently,DRL showed great potential for solving complex energy management problems.

In order to solve the problem of dynamic gesture recognition in traditional methods,a method of dynamic gesture recognition based on time series is proposed.The video is intercepted at several frames,the gesture information is segmented by modeling skin color,and a set of pictures corresponding to dynamic gestures are fused.The fused pictures contain time series information.Classify pictures based on convolutional neural network to realize the recognition of dynamic gestures.The experimental results show that this method has greatly improved compared with traditional recognition methods.

Integrated energy system(IES) is a viable route to “carbon peak and carbon neutral”. As the basis and cornerstone of economic operation and security of IES, energy flow calculation(EFC) has been widely studied. Traditional EFC focuses on the single or distributed slack bus models, which results in the lack of unlimited power to maintain system operation, especially for electric power grid working in islanded or coupled mode. To deal with this problem, this paper proposes a network-based virtual-slack bus(VSB) model in EFC. Firstly, considering the anticipated growth of energy conversion units(ECUs) with power adjustment capacity, the generators and ECUs are together modeled as a virtual slack bus model to reduce the concentrated power burden of IES. Based on this model, a power sensitivity method is designed to achieve the power sharing among the ECUs, where the power can be allocated adaptively based on the network conditions. Moreover, the method is helpful to maintain the voltage and pressure profile of IES. With these changes, a dynamic energy flow analysis including virtual slack bus types is extended for IES.It can realize the assessment of the system state. Finally, simulation studies illustrate the beneficial roles of the VSB model.

Despite of the relatively rare occurrence of alkaline igneous rocks on Earth, they are the most diverse group of igneous rocks due to variations in their mineral assemblages and geochemical compositions. Alkaline igneous rocks are generally characterized by Si undersaturation, and K-Na(and in some cases C) enrichment. Although there is no unified alkaline igneous rock classification scheme, diagrams such as total alkalis-SiO_(2) or K_(2)O-SiO_(2) can be used to classify alkaline igneous rocks. The origins of silica-saturated alkaline rocks(SiO_(2)>52 wt.%) are relatively complex because multiple episodes of magmatism are often involved, therefore most studies have focused on the origins of silica-undersaturated alkaline magmas.Numerous experimental petrological studies have been conducted in the past few decades. Initially, it was considered that enrichment of trace elements was only achieved by low-degree partial melting of mantle peridotite, but the experimental melts could not reproduce the geochemical composition of natural alkaline igneous rocks. Subsequent studies have focused on carbonate-bearing eclogites that represent the average component of subducted oceanic crust. Although experimental studies indicate that silica-undersaturated and alkali-oversaturated melts can be generated from eclogites, some studies have considered that natural silica-undersaturated alkaline igneous rocks are the result of multi-stage source enrichment by incompatible elements. Low-degree partial melts of the mantle can be emplaced in the lithospheric mantle, forming veins consisting of phlogopite, amphibole, and pyroxene. Melting experiments including these components show that the produced melts better reproduce the naturally occurring silica-undersaturated alkaline magmas. Silica-deficient alkaline igneous rocks occur in various tectonic settings. Influences of Milling Time and NbC on Microstructure of AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)High Entropy Alloy by Mechanical Alloying

AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)eutectic high entropy alloy(EHEA)and AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)-x NbC(x=2.5wt%,5.0wt%,7.5wt%,and 10wt%)high entropy alloy(HEAs)were prepared by mechanical alloying(MA).The effects of milling time and NbC content on the alloying behavior and grain size of the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)EHEA were investigated.The experimental results show that the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)EHEA primarily consists of order BCC(B2)and face-centered-cubic(FCC)phases,while the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)-x NbC(x=2.5wt%,5.0wt%,7.5wt%,and 10wt%)HEAs are composed of B2,FCC,and NbC phases.With the increase of milling time,the powder goes through three stages,irregularity,cold welding fracture and spheroidization.The particle size of AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)EHEA powder shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.Therein,the particle size presents a normal distribution during 0-50 h alloying.With the addition of NbC,the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)-x NbC HEAs powders are significantly refined.And the degree of grain refinement gradually increases with the increase of NbC content.

By investigating heat transfer and flow structures of dimples,orthogonal ribs,and V-shaped ribs in the impingement/effusion cooling,the article is dedicated to selecting a best-performing internal cooling structure for a turbine vane.The overall cooling effectiveness and coolant consumption are adopted to evaluate the cooling performance.To analyze the influence of structural modification,the flow field is investigated on chordwise/spanwise sections and the target surface.The blockage effect on crossflow can protect jet flow,resulting in higher heat transfer performance of the target surface.Ribs own a stronger blockage effect than dimples.Compared with the blockage effect,the influence of the rib shape is negligible.By installing dimples between ribs,heat transfer is augmented further.The introduction of ribs/dimples leads to higher discharge coefficients of jet nozzles but lower discharge coefficients of film holes.Thus,the film cooling deteriorates.Meanwhile,the installation of the ribs and dimples decreases total coolant consumption.The effect of ribs/dimples on heat transfer and effusion condition of internal and external cooling is analyzed.The best-performing cooling structure is the target surface with dimples and orthogonal ribs,which decreases the wall temperature and coolant consumption by 14.57-28.03 K and 1.19%-1.81%respectively.This article concludes the flow mechanism for dimples and influence factors on the cooling performance,which may serve as guidance for the turbine vane design.
