Objective:To explore the effect of nootkatone(NKT) on chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS)-induced depressive-like behaviors and the mechanism underlying NKT improving the depressivelike ***:The CUMS-induced depression model was established in *** mice were randomized into 5 groups(n=10) in accordance with a random number table:control group,CUMS group,CUMS+NKT(6 mg/kg) group,CUMS+NKT(12 mg/kg) group,and CUMS+ketamine *** the 22th day,NKT(6 or 12 mg/kg) or ketamine(0.5 mg/kg) was given with intragastric administration every day for21 *** tests including forced swimming test(FST),tail suspension test(TST),sucrose preference test(SPT) and open-field test(OFT) were carried *** mRNA and protein expressions of interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-18,IL-6,and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α in hippocampus were assessed using quantitative realtime polymerase chain reaction(PCR),Western blot analysis,and enzyme linked immunosorbent *** nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)/NOD-like receptor 3(NLRP3) inflammasome pathway was analyzed using Western blot and immunofluorescence ***:NKT treatment improved CUMS-induced depressivelike behaviors in mice(P<0.05 or P<0.01).NKT significantly decreased the mRNA and protein levels of IL-1β,IL-18,IL-6,and TNF-α in hippocampus of CUMS mice(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Furthermore,NKT repressed CUMS-induced activation of NF-κB signaling and NLRP3 inflammasome(P<0.01).More important,Nigericin,a NLRP3 activator,destroyed the effect of NKT on repressing neuroinflammation and improving depressive-like behaviors(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion:NKT ameliorates the depressive-like symptoms,in part by repressing NF-κB/NLRP3-mediated neuroinflammation.

Surface morphology and roughness are important parameters of surface quality of cold-rolled ultra-thin strip *** order to study the effect of Si_(3)N_(4) ceramic work rolls on the surface roughness of SUS304 ultra-thin strip,ABAQUS finite element model calculation,3D laser profilometry,and other methods were adopted based on the physical characteristics of Si_(3)N_(4) ceramic roll and 9Cr2MoV steel roll,like anti-flattening performance and oil *** surface morphology and roughness of SUS304 ultra-thin strip rolled by different material work rolls under oil lubrication conditions were *** results showed that under the rolling force of 10 kN,the maximum flattening amount of Si_(3)N_(4) ceramic roll was reduced by 35.14%compared to that of 9Cr2MoV steel *** reduction rate of SUS304 ultra-thin strip rolled by ceramic roll was 34.19%,while that rolled by steel roll was only 22%;Si_(3)N_(4) ceramic roll can further increase the number of alternating convex peaks and concave valleys in the rolled thin strip,reduce the profile steepness,reduce surface roughness,and enhance the planarization effect of surface micro-convex bodies,with improving surface quality and surface ***,the mechanism of Si_(3)N_(4) ceramic roll significantly improving the surface roughness of rolled SUS304 ultra-thin strip was proposed.

Polymer dielectrics with a high energy density and an available energy storage capacity have been playing an important role in advanced electronics and power systems. Nevertheless, the use of polymer dielectrics in harsh environments is limited by their low energy density at high temperatures. Herein, zirconium dioxide(ZrO_(2)) nanoparticles were decorated with amino group utilizing 4,4-methylenebis(phenyl isocyanate)(AMEO) and successfully incorporated into polyetherimide(PEI) matrix. The dielectric properties, breakdown strength, and energy storage performances of PEI/ZrO_(2)-AMEO nanocomposites were investigated from 25 ℃ to 150 ℃. It is found that the combination of moderate bandgap ZrO_(2) with modest dielectric constant and polar groups at interface with deep trap can offer an available strategy to simultaneously increase the dielectric constant and breakdown strength of polymer dielectrics. As a result, the composites containing ZrO_(2)-AMEO exhibit excellent energy storage performance at elevated temperatures. Specially, the PEI-based composites with 3 vol% ZrO_(2)-AMEO display a maximum discharged energy density(U_(d)) of 3.1 J/cm^(3) at 150 ℃, presenting 90% higher than that of neat PEI. This study may help to better develop the polymer-based dielectric composite applied at elevated temperatures.

Deformable gel particles(DGPs) possess the capability of deep profile control and flooding. However, the deep migration behavior and plugging mechanism along their path remain unclear. Breakage, an inevitable phenomenon during particle migration, significantly impacts the deep plugging effect. Due to the complexity of the process, few studies have been conducted on this subject. In this paper, we conducted DGP flow experiments using a physical model of a multi-point sandpack under various injection rates and particle sizes. Particle size and concentration tests were performed at each measurement point to investigate the transportation behavior of particles in the deep part of the reservoir. The residual resistance coefficient and concentration changes along the porous media were combined to analyze the plugging performance of DGPs. Furthermore, the particle breakage along their path was revealed by analyzing the changes in particle size along the way. A mathematical model of breakage and concentration changes along the path was established. The results showed that the passage after breakage is a significant migration behavior of particles in porous media. The particles were reduced to less than half of their initial size at the front of the porous media. Breakage is an essential reason for the continuous decreases in particle concentration, size, and residual resistance coefficient. However, the particles can remain in porous media after breakage and play a significant role in deep plugging. Higher injection rates or larger particle sizes resulted in faster breakage along the injection direction, higher degrees of breakage, and faster decreases in residual resistance coefficient along the path. These conditions also led to a weaker deep plugging ability. Smaller particles were more evenly retained along the path, but more particles flowed out of the porous media, resulting in a poor deep plugging effect. The increasingly frequent and severe regional-scale compound heatwave-drought extreme events(CHDEs),driven by global warming,present formidable challenges to ecosystems,residential livelihoods,and economic ***,uncertainty persists regarding the future trend of CHDEs and their insights into regional spatiotemporal *** integrating daily meteorological data from observations in 1961-2022 and global climate models(GCMs)based on the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways,the evolution patterns of CHDEs were compared and examined among three sub-catchments of the Yangtze River Basin,and the return periods of CHDE in 2050s and 210Os were *** findings indicate that the climate during the 2022 CHDE period was the warmest and driest recorded in 1961-2022,with precipitation less than 154.5 mm and a mean daily maximum temperature 3.4°C higher than the average of 1981-2010,whereas the char-acteristics in the sub-catchments exhibited temporal and spatial *** July-August 2022,the most notable feature of CHDE was its extremeness since 1961,with return periods of~200-year in upstream,80-year in midstream,and 40-year in downstream,*** 2050,the return periods witnessed 2022 CHDE would likely be reduced by *** towards 2100,under the highest emission scenario of SSP585,it was projected to substantially increase the frequency of CHDEs,with return periods reduced to one-third in the upstream and downstream,as well as halved in the *** findings provide valuable insights into the changing risks associated with forthcoming climate extremes,emphasizing the urgency of addressing these challenges in regional management and sustainable development.

Double-exchange(DE) interaction plays an important role in electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction(OER).However,precise achievement of DE interaction often requires foreign dopants or vacancy engineering,leading to destabilization of the catalysts and deterioration of *** contrast,the utilization of environmentally friendly,contactless,and continuously adjustable magnetic fields to study the OER process is profitable to avoid aforementioned interference factors and further elucidate the direct relationship_(0.5)between DE interaction and OER ***,by using cobalt hydroxide carbonate(Co(OH)(CO_(3))·xH_(2)O,CoHC) nanostructures as a proof-of-concept study,external magnetic fields are carefully implemented to verify the role of DE interaction during water oxidation *** studies reveal that external magnetic fields effectively enhance the reaction rate of the catalyst,the overpotential decreases from 386 to 355 mV(100 mA·cm^(-2)),while Tafel slopes drastically decline from 93 to 67 mV·dec^(-1)(1.0 T).Moreover,magnetic field increment exhibits robust *** in situ Raman and impedance measurements under external field,it can be found that magnetic field promotes the electron migration between Co^(2+) and Co^(3+) in the CoHC catalysts with the assistance of DE interactions,thus boosting the OER efficiency.

Enhancement of comprehensive properties of Nb–Si based in-situ composites by Ho rare earth doping

This study examines the microstructure,mechanical properties （with a focus on room-temperature toughness）, and oxidation resistance of Ho-doped NbDSi based in-situ composites. The base alloy consists of the coarse primary Nb5Si3phase and the Nb5Si3+Nbss （Nb solid solution） eutectic cells. Ho doping influences the solidification path. When the Ho doping is higher than0.2 at%, the alloys transform into eutectic alloys. Ho can be solid-solved in trace amounts in the Nbss phase. However, most of Ho forms a stable Ho oxide phase, which alleviates oxygen contamination problem to some ***, the interface separation between Ho oxide and other phases reduces the plastic deformation ***, with 0.4 at%Ho doping, the KQvalue is18.03 MPa·m1/2, which is 31.1%higher than that of the base alloy. The strength of the Ho-doped alloys does not deteriorate with an increase in toughness. However, the large network-like Ho2O3in the 0.8Ho alloy causes a decrease in toughness and strength. In addition, the Ho oxide phase effectively blocks the inward oxygen *** 0.8 at%Ho doping, the oxidation mass gain per unit area is 10.16 mg·cm2, which is 39.7%lower than that of the base alloy.
