Stable and dendrite-free Zn anode with artificial desolvation interface layer toward high-performance Zn-ion capacitor

Aqueous Zn-based energy storage devices possess tremendous advantages, such as low cost, high safety,and competitive energy density, due to employing a Zn metal anode and aqueous electrolyte. However,the cycling stability and rate ability of a Zn anode are hindered by Zn dendrite growth and sluggish ion transfer in the electrode/electrolyte interface. Herein, the interfacial properties of Zn anodes are improved through the introduction of a silver(Ag) protective layer, which facilitates uniform Zn deposition and regulates Zn ion transport. As a result, Ag-coated Zn anodes display stable cycling performance(600 h at 1 m A cm^(-2)) and low overpotential(150 mV at 50 mA cm^(-2)after 2000 cycles). The Ag layer in situ electrochemically converts into an AgZn_(3) layer and promotes Zn ion desolvation and threedimensional diffusion processes. Moreover, a Zn-ion capacitor assembled with an Ag-coated Zn anode and active carbon cathode shows a capable cycling lifespan and rate performance. This study provides a feasible strategy for constructing a stabilized and dendrite-free Zn anode for the development of high-performance Zn-based energy storage devices.

Experimental and density functional theory computational evaluation of poly(N-vinyl caprolactam-co-butyl methacrylate) kinetic hydrate inhibitors

Natural gas hydrate inhibitor has been serving the oil and gas industry for many years. The development and search for new inhibitors remain the focus of research. In this study, the solution polymerization method was employed to prepare poly(N-vinyl caprolactam-co-butyl methacrylate)(P(VCap-BMA)), as a new kinetic hydrate inhibitor(KHI). The inhibition properties of P(VCap-BMA) were investigated by tetrahydrofuran(THF) hydrate testing and natural gas hydrate forming and compared with the commercial KHIs. The experiment showed that PVCap performed better than copolymer P(VCap-BMA). However,low doses of methanol or ethylene glycol are compounded with KHIs. The compounding inhibitors show a synergistic inhibitory effect. More interesting is the P(VCap-BMA)-methanol system has a better inhibitory effect than the PVCap-methanol system. 1% P(VCap-BMA) + 5% methanol presented the best inhibiting performance at subcooling 10.3 °C, the induction time of natural gas hydrate was 445 ***, the interaction between water and several dimeric inhibitors compared by natural bond orbital(NBO) analyses and density functional theory(DFT) indicated that inhibitor molecules were able to form the hydrogen bond with the water molecules, which result in gas hydrate inhibition. These exciting properties make the P(VCap-BMA) compound hydrate inhibitor promising candidates for numerous applications in the petrochemical industry.

Real-time generation of circular patterns in electron beam lithography

为了预防和控制高速公路加宽工程路基出现差异沉降,保障工程质量,利用有限元法,系统分析了路面面层模量与厚度、基层模量与厚度、土基模量等对高速公路加宽路基沉降变形的影响规律。结果表明:路面结构层参数对于高速公路加宽路基的受力与变形特性具有显著的影响,高速公路加宽路基的沉降量随着路面结构层厚度和刚度的增大而显著减小,提升路面结构层的厚度和刚度可以有效预防高速公路加宽工程出现差异沉降。

Leisure participation patterns and gender wage gap:Evidence from Chinese manufacturing industry

Clubroot and herbicide resistance,high oleic acid(OA)content,and early maturity are targets of rapeseed(Brassica napus L.)*** objective of this study was to develop new male-fertility restorer lines by pyramiding favorable genes to improve these traits *** elite alleles for the four traits were introduced into the restorer line 621R by speed breeding with marker-assisted and phenotypic *** introgression lines(ILs)were developed with four-to seven-gene combinations and crossed with two elite parents to develop *** ILs and their corresponding hybrids displayed high resistance to both clubroot pathotype 4 and sulfonylurea *** ILs and their hybrids showed large increases in OA contents and four showed earlier *** new ILs may be useful in rapeseed hybrid breeding for the target traits.
