How Does Digital Economy Drive China’s Rural Revitalization?

Digital economy,a new driving force for China’s economic development,creates a good opportunity for rural revitalization.This paper begins with a theoretical analysis of the impact of the digital economy on rural revitalization.Based on panel data from 30 provinces and cities in China from 2011 to 2018,as well as measurement-based digital economy development Index and rural revitalization index,the empirical test is conducted of the driving effect,mechanism and heterogeneity of digital economy on rural revitalization.Results show that the digital economy has a significant driving effect on rural revitalization,a conclusion that still holds even after taking into account endogenous problems and conducting a series of robustness tests.Technological innovation and human capital constitute the important mechanism for the digital economy to drive rural revitalization.Furthermore,the digital economy has a spatial spillover effect on rural revitalization,that is,it can promote rural development in neighboring areas.As regards various dimensions of rural revitalization,the digital economy can significantly promote ecological livability,civilized rural style,effective governance and prosperity.But its impact on the industrial boom is yet to appear.The western region enjoys more digital economy dividends in rural revitalization are more significant than central and eastern regions.Rural revitalization requires the government to deepen the integration of the digital economy and agriculture and implement a differentiated digital economy development strategy.

It is an unceasing goal for organic chemists to develop new catalytic methodologies for functional group transformations of widespread molecular structures. Amides are readily available from simple and reliable reactions, which are common structural units found in biologically active compounds. Consequently, they are attractive to be exploited in amine synthesis by reductive cross coupling. However, deoxygenative functionalization of amides is a long-standing challenge owing to the inertness of the resonance-stabilized amide C=O bond. In this work, a deoxygenative alkylation strategy was demonstrated, which combines amides and alkyl iodides to build structurally diverse tertiary alkylamines in a single step. Compared with previous deoxygenative alkylation of amides using organometallic reagents as functional partner, this work uses stable and easily available alkyl halides as functionalization reagents. The versatile and flexible strategy plus structural and functional diversity of readily available amides and alkyl iodides renders it highly appealing for the streamlined synthesis of tertiary amines and would be of much interest in areas such as pharmaceutical and agrochemical research.

Sepsis heterogeneity

Background Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection,with extremely high mortality.Notably,sepsis is a heterogeneous syndrome characterized by a vast,multidimensional array of clinical and biologic features,which has hindered advances in the therapeutic field beyond the current standards.Data sources We used PubMed to search the subject-related medical literature by searching for the following single and/or combination keywords:sepsis,heterogeneity,personalized treatment,host response,infection,epidemiology,mortality,incidence,age,children,sex,comorbidities,gene susceptibility,infection sites,bacteria,fungi,virus,host response,organ dysfunction and management.Results We found that host factors(age,biological sex,comorbidities,and genetics),infection etiology,host response dysregulation and multiple organ dysfunctions can all result in different disease manifestations,progression,and response to treatment,which make it difficult to effectively treat and manage sepsis patients.Conclusions Herein,we have summarized contributing factors to sepsis heterogeneity,including host factors,infection etiology,host response dysregulation,and multiple organ dysfunctions,from the key elements of pathogenesis of sepsis.An in-depth understanding of the factors that contribute to the heterogeneity of sepsis will help clinicians understand the complexity of sepsis and enable researchers to conduct more personalized clinical studies for homogenous patients.

Optimizing mechanical properties of magnesium alloys by philosophy of thermo-kinetic synergy:Review and outlook

Although several strategies(including grain refinement,texture adjustment,precipitation hardening,etc.)have been verified to effectively improve the mechanical properties of lightweight magnesium(Mg)alloys,considerable efforts are still needed to be made to comprehensively understand the potential mechanisms controlling complex microstructures and deformation behaviors exhibited by the hexagonal close-packed host lattice of Mg,thus assisting the rational design of materials at a more physical level.As the cornerstone of this review,a universal rule,the so-called synergy of thermodynamics and kinetics(i.e.,thermo-kinetic diversity,correlation and connectivity),including a recently proposed theory of generalized stability(GS),is introduced to deepen our understanding on common behaviors in Mg alloys(i.e.,deformations(slip and twining modes),phase transformations(especially for precipitations)and interactions in between)at a new perspective.Guided by the GS theory,typical cases for Mg alloys design are qualitatively evaluated to reemphasize the traditional strengthening and toughening strategies mentioned above and to illuminate their exquisite coordination for breaking through the trade-off relationship between strength and ductility,corresponding to a typical thermo-kinetic pair(i.e.,high driving force(ΔG)-high GS).To produce the Mg alloys with superior strength-ductility balances,the potential capacity of this GS theory for guiding processing path design is discussed,finally。

Lead halide perovskite solar cells(PSCs) have become a promising next-generation photovoltaic technology due to their skyrocketed power conversion efficiency. However, the device stability issues may restrict their commercial applications, which are dominated by various chemical reactions of perovskite layers. Hence, a comprehensive illustration on the stability of perovskite films in PSCs is urgently needed. In this review article, chemical reactions of perovskite films under different environmental conditions(e.g., moisture,oxygen, light) and with charge transfer materials and metal electrodes are systematically elucidated. Effective strategies for suppressing the degradation reactions of perovskites, such as buffer layer introduction and additives engineering,are specified. Finally, conclusions and outlooks for this field are proposed. The comprehensive review will provide a guideline on the material engineering and device design for PSCs.

To characterize the Neumann problem for nonlinear Fokker-Planck equations,we investigate distribution dependent reflecting stochastic differential equations(DDRSDEs)in a domain.We first prove the well-posedness and establish functional inequalities for reflecting stochastic differential equations with singular drifts,and then extend these results to DDRSDEs with singular or monotone coefficients,for which a general criterion deducing the well-posedness of DDRSDEs from that of reflecting stochastic differential equations is established.

Bidirectional catalysis of Co_(0.4)Ni_(1.6)P for Li_(2)S_(1-2) deposition/decomposition reactions in Li-S batteries

To improve the electrochemical activity of S electrodes in Li-S batteries,the synergistic electrocatalysis mechanism of Co_(0.4)Ni_(1.6)P with Ni and Co bimetal interactions is clarified.The alternating crystal structure of Co and Ni regulates the adsorption and decomposition energy of Co_(0.4)Ni_(1.6)P to polysulfides and has the bidirectional catalysis for the Li_(2)S_(1-2)deposition/decomposition process.Co_(0.4)Ni_(1.6)P can promote the breaking of the S-S bond of Li_(2)S_(4) and decrease the decomposition energy barrier of Li_(2)S.This regulation accelerates the discharge/charge reaction between S,polysulfides,and Li_(2)S and improves the kinetics of the S electrodes.The 1st,100^(th),and 200^(th) discharge capacity densities at 0.1 mA cm^(-2) of the S electrodes with a high sulfur loading were 1,405,987.2,and 828.4 m Ah gS^(-1),respectively.The bidirectional catalytic mechanism is a novel idea for improving the electrochemical performance of Li-S batteries.
