The Mixed-Mode Fatigue Crack Propagation Model of Piezoelectric Materials Under Electric Fatigue Loading by the J_(k)-Integral

The electric fatigue load has a significant effect on the crack propagation behavior and failure life of piezoelectric materials and devices. In this paper, an electrical mixed-mode fatigue crack propagation model for piezoelectric materials is proposed based on the piezoelectric J_(k)-integral theory. The crack initiation, propagation, and life prediction criteria of piezoelectric materials under electric fatigue loading are given by this model, and the finite element simulation model is established to study the electrical mixed-mode crack propagation behavior of piezoelectric structures. Meanwhile, the electrical mixed-mode fatigue crack propagation model is applied to the fatigue crack propagation behavior of a piezoelectric typical defective structure, the crack–hole interference model. The mixed-mode crack propagation, fatigue life, and the interference behavior between the crack and hole at various hole locations of the crack–hole interference model are well recognized by this model. The crack propagation behavior under different electrical load intensities is also considered. The results show that the hole in front of the crack tip inhibits crack propagation to a certain extent, and the strength of electrical load affects the fatigue life of piezoelectric materials and structures. Therefore, the proposed electrical mixed-mode fatigue crack propagation model provides a reference for predicting the mixed-mode fatigue crack propagation behavior and fatigue life of piezoelectric structures under electric fatigue loading.

Experimental studies of melt-peridotite reactions at 1–2 GPa and 1250–1400°C and their implications for transforming the nature of lithospheric mantle and for high-Mg signatures in adakitic rocks

Experiments of the melt-peridotite reaction at pressures of 1 and 2 GPa and temperatures of 1250–1400°C have been carried out to understand the nature of the peridotite xenoliths in the Mesozoic high-Mg diorites and basalts of the North China Craton,and further to elucidate the processes in which the Mesozoic lithospheric mantle in this region was *** used Fuxin alkali basalt,Feixian alkali basalt,and Xu-Huai hornblende-garnet pyroxenite as starting materials for the reacting melts,and lherzolite xenoliths and synthesized harzburgite as starting materials for the lithospheric *** experimental results indicate that:(1)the reactions between basaltic melts and lherzolite and harzburgite at 1–2 GPa and 1300–1400°C tended to dissolve pyroxene and precipitate low-Mg#olivine(Mg#=83.6–89.3),forming sequences of dunite-lherzolite(D-L)and duniteharzburgite(D-H),respectively;(2)reactions between hornblende-garnet pyroxenite and lherzolite at 1 GPa and 1250°C formed a D-H sequence,whereas reactions at 2 GPa and 1350°C formed orthopyroxenite layers and lherzolite;and(3)the reaction between a partial melt of hornblende-garnet pyroxenite and harzburgite resulted in a layer of orthopyroxenite at the boundary of the pyroxenite and *** reacted melts have higher MgO abundances than the starting melts,demonstrating that the melt-peridotite reactions are responsible for the high-Mg#signatures of andesites or adakitic *** experimental results support the proposition that the abundant peridotite and pyroxenite xenoliths in western Shandong and the southern Taihang Mountains might have experienced multiple modifications in reaction to a variety of *** suggest that melt-peridotite reactions played important roles in transforming the nature of the Mesozoic lithospheric mantle in the region of the North China Craton.

Two new species of medusae(Cnidaria) from the coastal waters of the northern Beibu Gulf

Microscopic evidence for the intra-unit-cell electronic nematicity inside the pseudogap phase in YBa_(2)Cu_(4)O_(8)

Understanding the nature of the mysterious pseudogap phenomenon is one of the most important issues associated with cuprate high-T_(c) ***,we report 17O nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) studies on two planar oxygen sites in stoichio?metric cuprate YBa_(2)Cu_(4)O_(8) to investigate the symmetry breaking inside the pseudogap *** observe that the Knight shifts of the two oxygen sites are identical at high temperatures but different below T_(nem) ~185 K,which is close to the pseudogap temperature T^(*).Our result provides a microscopic evidence for intra-unit-cell electronic *** difference in quadrupole resonance frequency between the two oxygen sites is unchanged below T_(nem),which suggests that the observed nematicity does not directly stem from the local charge density ***,a short-range charge density wave(CDW) order is observed below T=150 *** additional broadening in the 17O-NMR spectra because of this CDW order is determined to be inequivalent for the two oxygen sites,which is similar to that observed in case of *** results suggest a possible connection between nematicity,CDW order,and pseudogap.

Deformation transition of intact coal induced by gas injection

Gas migration in coal bed is a multiple-physical process, of which not only includes gas desorption/diffusion through coal matrix and gas Darcy flow through the cleat system, but also results in deformation of solid coal. Especially for enhanced coal bed methane(ECBM) and CO2 capture and sequestration(CCS), gas injection is mainly controlled by the gas diffusivity in the coal matrix and coal *** the relevant coal permeability models have been frequently developed, how the dual-porosity system of coal affects gas adsorption/diffusion is still poorly understood. In this paper, a series of experiments were carried out in order to investigate deformation evolution of intact coal subjected to hydrostatic pressure of different gases(including pure H2, N2 and CO2) under isotherm injection. In the testing process, the coal strain and injected gas pressure were measured simultaneously. The results show that the pressure of non-adsorptive helium remained unchanged throughout the isothermal injection process, in which the volumetric strain of the coal shrinked firstly and maintained unchanged at lower isobaric pressure. With the injected pressure increasing, the coal volume underwent a transition from shrinking to recovery(still less than initial volume of the coal). In contrast, N2 injection caused the coal to shrink firstly and then recover with decreasing gas pressure. The recovery volume was larger than the initial volume due to adsorption-induced swelling. For the case of CO2 injection, although the stronger adsorption effect could result in swelling of the solid coal, the presence of higher gas pressure appears to contribute the swelling coal to shrink. These results indicate that the evolution of coal deformation is time dependent throughout the migration of injected gas. Polyconchoecia commixtus gen. et sp. nov. (Ostracoda： Myodocopa： Halocyprididae) from the South China Sea

Planktonic ostracods are small crustaceans abundant in marine ecosystem worldwide as appreciable part of marine zooplankton. Family Halocyprididae is a large group of halocyprid ostracods, and the tribe Conchoeciini has contained 21 genera previously. We described a further genus with a species Polyconchoecia commixtus gen. et sp. nov. from the middle of South China Sea in this study. The new species can be distinguished from related genera and species in having a unique combination of these characteristics： a lateral gland placed over right asymmetric gland and open near posterior margin; dense edge glands placed along ventral margin of carapace in line; shape of frontal organ; e-seta of first antenna is bare; endopod of second antenna has one small oval hump with central concave on mid-ventral margin, instead of processus mamillaris, exopod 1 has a small disto-dorsal spine, exopod 1 and 2 are fused, exopod 3 and 4 are bare; endopod 1 of mandible has one long ventral seta, endopod 2 has one ventral seta; maxillary endopod 1 has two basal setae; endopod 1 of fifth limb has only one ventral seta; endopod 1 of sixth limb and endopod 2 have no ventral seta. The definite distinctions in locations of major glands are the key characteristics of the new genus.

This study reviews all species belonging to the families Laodiceidae, Lovenellidae, Malagazziidae, and Mitrocomidae in the South China Sea. Two new species, Eucheilota carinata sp. nov. and Halopsis nanhaiensis sp. nov., are described and illustrated. One genus, Staurostorna, and two species, Staurostorna sp. and Octophialueiurn aphrodite （Bigelow, 1928）, are first recorded in China seas. The key to all medusa genera and species of Lovenellidae and Malagazziidae are presented. Other data are briefly summarized to the list and distribution of species presented on the family Laodiceidae, Lovenellidae, Malagazziidae and Mitrocomidae in the South China Sea. The type specimens are deposited in the Third Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration, China.

Taxonomic notes on Hydroidomedusae (Cnidaria) from the South China Sea Ⅳ: Family Bougainvilliidae (Anthomedusae)

This study reviews all genera and species belonging to the family Bougainvilliidae from the South China Sea. The Nubiella atentaculata Xu and Huang, 2004 formerly included in the genus Nubiella, now is transferred to a new genus Paranubiella and included in the Bougainvilliidae as Paranubiella atentaculata （Xu and Huang, 2004） n. comb.. Two new species, Paranubiella nanhaiensis Xu, Huang and Guo, sp. nov. and Nubiella apapillaris Xu, Huang and Guo, sp. nov. from the South China Sea are described and illustrated in the present paper. In addition, the key to known genera of family Bougainvilliidae and species of genus Nubiella are described. Other data are briefly summarized to the list of species presented on the family Bougainvilliidae in the South China Sea. The type species were deposited at the Third Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration.

Research Progress on Economic Forest Water Stress Based on Bibliometrics and Knowledge Graph

This study employed the bibliometric software CiteSpace 6.1.R6 to analyze the correlation between thermal infrared,spectral remote sensing technology,and the estimation of economic forest water *** aimed to review the development and current status of this field,as well as to identify future research trends.A search was conducted on the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database using the keyword“water stress”for relevant studies from 2003 to *** visual analysis function of CNKI was used to generate the distribution of annual publication volume,and CiteSpace 6.1.R6 was utilized to create network maps illustrating collaboration among authors and *** study also analyzed the hotspots and frontiers of economic forest water *** a result,a total of 6664 academic journal articles related to water stress were *** collaboration networks were observed among scholars and institutions,with a focus on using crown temperature monitoring to diagnose crop water *** on the research findings,it was evident that the primary research trend involved the use of thermal infrared and spectral remote sensing technology for estimating water stress,making it a future research hotspot.

Hydromedusae from the Arctic in 2010 during the 4th Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition(CHINARE 4)

Fifty-seven stations （48 grid stations and nine stratified stations） were sampled across the study region （67.000°-88.394°N, 152.500°-178.643°W） during the 4th Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition （CHI- NARE 4） from July to August 2010 by the icebreaker R/VXuelong. A total of 24 species of Hydromedusae were identified from 130 zooplankton samples, of which seven species belonged to Automedusa, eight species to Anthomedusae, four species to Leptomedudae, and three species to Siphonophora. Catablema multicir- ratum Kishinouye, 1910, Bougainvillia bitentaculata Uchida, 1925, and Euphysajaponica （Maas, 1909） were recorded for the first time in the Arctic sea. In the present paper, 18 species of Hydromedusae were described and illustrated, of which three species were described for the first time in the Arctic sea, and 15 species were described for the first time in China.
