Eutrophication with a large number of Microcystis aeruginosa commonly occurs worldwide, thereby threatening the aquatic ecosystem and human health. In this study, four kinds of algicides were tested to explore their influence on cell density and chlorophyll-a of M. aeruginosa. Results showed that aluminum silicate agent, which inhibited more than 90% cell growth compared with the control group, demonstrated the strongest inhibition effect immediately on M. aeruginosa growth. Furthermore, the production and release of microcystin （MC）-LR were investigated. Aluminum silicate, CuSO4, and Emma-11 were more effective than pyrogallic acid in disrupting the cells of M. aeruginosa, thereby increasing the extracellular MC-LR concentration. Aluminum silicate caused the highest extracellular MC-LR concentration of more than 45 mg·L^-1. Biotoxicity was also detected to evaluate the environmental risks of MC-LR release, which were related to the usages of different algicides. Extracellular MC-LR concentration mostly increased when the biotoxicity of algae solution increased. The experiments were also designed to reveal the effects of physical conditions in riverways, such as natural sunlight, aeration and benthal sludge, on MC-LR degradation. These findings indicated that UV rays in sunlight, which can achieve a MC-LR removal efficiency of more than 15%, played an important role in MC-LR degradation. Among all the physical pathways of MC-LR removal, benthal sludge adsorption presented the optimal efficiency at 20%.

Microcystin-LR attracts attention due to its high toxicity, high concentration and high frequency. The removal characteristics of UV/H2O2 and O3/H2O2 advanced oxidation processes and their individual process for MC-LR were investigated and compared in this study. Both the removal efficiencies and rates of MC-LR as well as the biotoxicity of degradation products was analyzed. Results showed that the UV/H2O2 process and O3/H2O2 were effective methods to remove MC-LR from water, and they two performed better than UV-, O3-, H2O2-alone processes under the same conditions. The effects of UV intensity, H2O2 concentration and O3 concentration on the removal perfomlance were explored. The synergistic effects between UV and H2O2, O3 and H2O2 were observed. UV dosage of 1800 mJ·cm^-2 was required to remove 90% of 100μg.L^-1 MC-LR, which amount significantly decreased to 500 ***^-2 when 1.7mg·L^-1 H2O2 was added. 0.25 mg.L^-1 O3, or 0.125 mg·L^-1 O9 with 1.7 mg·L^-1 H2O2 was needed to reach 90% removal efficiency. Furthermore, the biotoxicity results about these UV/H2O2, O3/H2O2 and O3-alone processes all present rising trends with oxidation degree of MC-LR. Biotoxicity of solution, equ valent to 0.01 mg·L^-1 Zn^2＋,ratsed to 0.05 mg.L Zn after UV/H2O2 or O3/H2O2 reaction. This phenomenon may be attributed to the aldehydes and ketones with small molecular weight generated during reaction. Advice about the selection of MC-LR removal methods in real cases was provided.

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have attracted tremendous attention due to their outstanding performance within a short *** molecules with unpaired single electrons have been widely used in energy-related fields,such as organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs),organic field-effect transistors(OFETs),organic and dye-sensitized solar cells,batteries,thermoelectric conversion devices,***,as far as we know,there has never been a systemic collection and analysis of the application of radical molecules in ***,we summarized the role of the radical molecule on perovskite(passivate trap defects,enhance oxygen stability and make perovskite band-bending)and charge transport layer(improve conductivity and mobility,enhance oxygen stability,modulate work function and decrease by-product generating).Meanwhile,future directions of making full use of radical molecules in improving the performances of PSCs were envisioned.

Histone modifications have been widely elucidated to play vital roles in gene regulation and cell identity. The Roadmap Epigenomics Consortium generated a reference catalog of several key histone modifications across 〉lOOs of human cell types and tissues. Decoding these epJgenomes into functional regulatory elements is a challenging task in computational biology. To this end, we adopted a differential chromatin modification analysis framework to comprehensively determine and characterize cell type-specific regulatory elements （CSREs） and their histone modification codes in the human epigenomes of five histone modifications across 127 tissues or cell types. The CSREs show significant relevance with cell type-specific biological functions and diseases and cell identity. Clustering of CSREs with their specificity signals reveals distinct histone codes, demonstrating the diversity of functional roles of CSREs within the same cell or tissue. Last but not least, dynamics of CSREs from close cell types or tissues can give a detailed view of developmental processes such as normal tissue development and cancer occurrence.

The increasing volume of CO_(2) embodiment in international trade adds a layer of complexity to environmental policies and has raised arguments on the traditional production based responsibility for CO_(2) *** order to help understand the quantity of CO_(2) embodiment in trade and its policy implications,this paper gives observations to recently emerging literatures that quantitatively discuss CO_(2) embodiment in *** analytical approaches share the principle of using input and output modeling but vary dramatically in study boundary and estimation *** calculations can be roughly categorized into three types:direct quantification of CO_(2) embodiments in multiregional trade,direct quantification of CO_(2) embodiment in bilateral trade,and indirect analysis by comparing the scenarios with or without *** practical estimations strongly rely on trade partner selection and data *** obvious imbalance of net CO_(2) embodiment in the commodity trade between major developed countries and developing economies as a whole was confirmed by these *** taxes and other possible limitations on CO_(2) emissions have been *** consistency across the calculations could be enhanced by systematic analyses in more detail to convince the international community to take binding commitments for the reduction of global CO_(2) emissions.

Carbon flow analysis of China＇s agro-ecosystem from 1980 to 2013： A perspective from substance flow analysis

Research on carbon cycling has attracted attention from both scientists and policy-makers. Based on material flow analysis, this study systematically budgets the carbon inputs, outputs and balance from 1980 to 2013 for China＇s agro-ecosystem and its sub-systems, including agricultural land use, livestock breeding and rural life. The results show that from 1980 to 2013, both the carbon input and output were growing gradually, with the carbon input doubling from 1.6 Pg C/year in 1980 to 3.4 Pg C/year in 2013, while carbon output grew from 2.2 Pg C/year in 1980 to 3.8 Pg C/year in 2013. From 1980 to 2013, the crop production system in China has remained a carbon source, and the agricultural land uses were also almost all carbon sources instead of carbon sinks. As soil carbon stock plays a very important role in deciding the function of China＇s agro-ecosystem as a carbon sink or source, practices that can promote carbon storage and sequestration will be an essential component of low carbon agriculture development in China.

Reforms of the water pricing management system and the establishment of a flexible water pricing system are significant for cities in northern China to tackle their critical water issues. The WATAP （Water conserva- tion Technology Adoption Processes） model is developed in order to capture the water conservation technology adoption process under different price scenarios with disaggregate water demands down to the end use level. This model is explicitly characterized by the technological selection process under maximum marginal benefit assumption by different categories of households. In particular, when households need to purchase water devices in the provision market with the consideration of complex factors such as the life span, investment and operating costs of the device, as well as the regulated water price by the government. Applied to Tianjin city, four scenarios of water price evolutions for a long-term perspective （from year 2011 to 2030） are considered, including BAU （Business As Usual）, SP1 （Scenario of Price increase with constant annual rate）, SP2 （Scenario of Price increase every four years） and SP3 （Scenario of Price increase with affordable constraint）, considering many factors such as historic trends, affordability and incentives for conservation. Results show that on aggregate 2.3%, 11.0% and 18.2% of fresh water can be saved in the residential sector in scenario SP1, SP2 and SP3, respec- tively, compared with the BAU scenario in the year 2030. The water price signals can change the market shares of different water appliances, as well as the water end use structure of households, and ultimately improve water use efficiency. The WATAP model may potentially be a helpful tool to provide insights for policy makers on water conservation technology policy analysis and assessment.
