Photothermal CO_(2)reduction with H2O,integrating advantages of photocatalysis driven H2O splitting and thermal catalysis promoted CO_(2)reduction,has drawn sharply increasing attention in artificial synthesis of solar *** photothermal effect of metal nanoparticles facilities CO_(2)hydrogenation and activation of lattice oxygen in oxide photocatalyst promotes H2O oxidation,which is essentially considered for highly efficient photothermal ***,the large thermal conductivity of most metal nanoparticles induces inevitable heat dissipation,restricting the increase of catalyst *** this work,to minimize the heat dissipation,we employ bismuth nanoparticles as photothermal unit,which is of the lowest thermal conductivity in the metal ***,we adopt bismuth doped NaTaO_(3)as photocatalytic unit because of the bismuth doping induced activation of lattice *** bismuth nanoparticles are assembled with bismuth doped NaTaO_(3)through one-step tunable transformation from *** from the photothermal effect,thermal insulation caused by bismuth metal,and lattice oxygen activation by bismuth doping,the NaTaO_(3):Bi hybrid exhibits high photothermal catalytic *** yield of CO over NaTaO_(3):Bi hybrid at 413 K via photothermal catalysis is 141 times higher than that room temperature ***,ultraviolet(UV)light irradiation leads to 89.2%selectivity of CO and visible light irradiation leads to 97.5%selectivity of *** work may broaden the photocatalytic application of ABO_(3)perovskite and provides a novel strategy for the development of photothermal catalysts for artificial photosynthesis.

Electromechanical responses and instability of electro-active polymer cylindrical shells

Based on the theories of finite deformation elasticity, electromechanical responses and instability of an incompressible electro-active polymer （EAP） cylindrical shell, which is subjected to an internal pressure and a static electric field, are studied. Deformation curves and distribution of stresses are obtained. It is found that an internal pressure together with an electric field may cause the unstable non-monotonic deforma- tion of the shell. It is also shown that a critical thickness for the shell exists, and the shell may undergo the unstable deformation if its thickness is less than this critical value. In addition, the effects of the electric field, axial stretch, thickness, and internal pressure on the instability of the shell are discussed.

Transition-metal redox evolution and its effect on thermal stability of LiNixCoyMnzO_(2) based on synchrotron soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy

Based on the synchrotron soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy experiments,the fundamental electronic structures of layered Li NixCoyMnzO_(2)(NCM)are investigated systematically and the data of transitionmetal(TM)L-and O K-edges spectra are *** of Ni ions under different oxidation states is evaluated according to linear combination *** is found that the ratio of Ni^(4+)expands with the increase of Ni since it dominates in charge compensation during charging,and that the existence of Ni^(3+)is nearly negligible in delithiated *** valence state of Co also strongly depends on Ni content,the perceptible position shift of Co L_(3)-edge absorption peak towards higher energy in Ni-rich material agrees well with the small voltage plateau at around 4.2 *** stability of Mn is verified as no obvious spectral change with the Mn L-edge is ***,as Ni content rises,the O 2p holes near the Femi level increases with higher oxidation state of Ni,indicating the enhanced hybridization of O 2p-TM 3 *** NCMs with higher Ni content are prior to lose electron existing in highly hybridized Ni3 dO 2 p bands upon heating,which accounts for the pronounced O_(2)release in phase transitions and the deterioration in thermal *** detailed observation of the electronic structure evolution is one of the key ingredients to improving the electrochemical and thermal performance of NCM.

The alkaline zinc-based batteries with high energy density are becoming a research ***,the poor cycle stability and low-rate performance limit their wide ***,ultra-thin CoNiO2 nanosheet with rich oxygen defects anchored on the vertically arranged Ni nanotube arrays(Od-CNO@Ni NTs)is used as a positive material for rechargeable alkaline Ni–Zn *** the highly uniform Ni nanotube arrays provide a fast electron/ion transport path and abundant active sites,the Od-CNO@Ni NTs electrode delivers excellent capacity(432.7 mAh g^(−1))and rate capability(218.3 mAh g^(−1) at 60 A g^(−1)).Moreover,our Od-CNO@Ni NTs//Zn battery is capable of an ultra-long lifespan(93.0%of initial capacity after 5000 cycles),extremely high energy density of 547.5 Wh kg^(−1) and power density of 92.9 kW kg^(−1)(based on the mass of cathode active substance).Meanwhile,the theoretical calculations reveal that the oxygen defects can enhance the interaction between electrode surface and electrolyte ions,contributing to higher *** work opens a reasonable idea for the development of ultra-durable,ultra-fast,and high-energy Ni–Zn battery.

Metagenomic analysis to determine the characteristics of antibiotic resistance genes in typical antibiotic-contaminated sediments

Comprehensive studies of the effects of various physical and chemical variables(including heavymetals),antibiotics,and microorganisms in the environment on antibiotic resistance genes are *** collected sediment samples from the Shatian Lake aquaculture area and surrounding lakes and rivers located in Shanghai,*** spatial distribution of sediment ARGs was assessed by metagenomic analysis that revealed 26 ARG types(510 subtypes),dominated by Multidrug,β-lactam,Aminoglycoside,Glycopeptides,Fluoroquinolone,and *** discriminant analysis indicated that antibiotics(SAs and MLs)in the aqueous environment and sediment along with water TN and TP were the key variables affecting the abundance distribution of total ***,the main environmental drivers and key influences differed among the different *** total ARGs,the environmental subtypes affecting their structural composition and distribution characteristics were mainly antibiotic *** analysis showed a significant correlation between ARGs and microbial communities in the sediment in the survey *** analysis revealed that most of the target ARGs were significantly and positively correlated with microorganisms,and a small number of ARGs(e.g.,rpoB,mdtC,and efpA)were highly significantly and positively correlated with microorganisms(e.g.,Knoellia,Tetrasphaera,and Gem-matirosa).Potential hosts for the major ARGs included Actinobacteria,Proteobacteria,and *** study provides new insight and a comprehensive assessment of the distribution and abundance of ARGs and the drivers of ARG occurrence and transmission.

Enhanced efficiency of cadmium removal by Boehmeria nivea(L.) Gaud. in the presence of exogenous citric and oxalic acids

Boehmeria nivea（L.） Gaud. is a potential candidate for the remediation of Cd contaminated sites. The present investigation aims to explore Cd tolerance threshold and to quickly identify the role of exogenous organic acids in Cd uptake and abiotic metal stress *** Cd levels（0–10 mg/L） resulted in an obvious rise in Cd accumulation, ranging from268.0 to 374.4 in root and 25.2 to 41.2 mg/kg dry weight in shoot, respectively. Citric acid at1.5 mmol/L significantly facilitated Cd uptake by 26.7% in root and by 1-fold in shoot,respectively. Cd translocation efficiency from root to shoot was improved by a maximum of66.4% under 3 mmol/L of oxalic acid. Citric acid exhibited more prominent mitigating effect than oxalic acid due to its stronger ligand affinity for chelating with metal and avoiding the toxicity injury of free Cd ions more efficiently. The present work provides a potential strategy for efficient Cd remediation with B. nivea.

Heat Transfer During Quenching by Plate Roller Quenching Machine

For plate quenching on a roller quenching machine, heat transfer process is investigated. According to the practical online experiment of plate center temperature, average heat transfer coefficient under different conditions and temperature fields are analyzed by numerical simulation. The results show that, at the water temperature of 15 ℃, the instantaneous maximum quenching cooling rate is 17.6 ℃/s for the plate of 50 mm in thickness in roller quenching process. In the temperature range of 400-850 ℃, the maximum is 12.1 ℃/s. With the plate surface temperature decreasing, surface heat transfer coefficient increases at first, and reaches the maximum value of about 15 000 W/（m^2·K）, and then decreases. The calculated heat transfer coefficients are applied to analyze plate temperature field of different thicknesses, and the difference between the calculated and measured temperature is less than 5%.
