Meristems are stem cell-containing structures that produce all plant organs and are therefore important targets for crop *** regulators control the balance and rate of cell divisions within the *** these regulators impacts meristem architecture and,as a consequence,plant *** this review,we discuss genes involved in regulating the shoot apical meristem,inflorescence meristem,axillary meristem,root apical meristem,and vascular cambium in *** highlight several examples showing how crop breeders have manipulated developmental regulators to modify meristem growth and alter crop traits such as inflorescence size and branching *** transformation techniques are another innovation related to plant meristem research because they make crop genome engineering *** discuss recent advances on plant transformation made possible by studying genes controlling meristem ***,we conclude with discussions about how meristem research can contribute to crop improvement in the coming decades.

BACKGROUND Studies have shown a strong bidirectional association between diabetes and depression,with diabetes increasing the risk of developing depression and vice *** among patients with diabetes is associated with poor glycemic control,complications,and poor *** to explore the present state of research globally concerning diabetes and depression,to aid understanding the current research landscape and identify potential future areas of *** A bibliometric approach was used,utilizing the Scopus database to gather pertinent research articles released from 2004 to *** encompassed publication patterns,significant contributors,research focal points,prevalent themes,and the most influential articles,aimed at discerning emerging research *** A total of 3229 publications that met the search criteria were identified.A significant increase in the number of publications related to diabetes and depression has been observed in the past two *** most productive nation was the USA(n=1015;31.43%),followed by China(n=325;10.07%),the UK(n=236;7.31%),and Germany(n=218;6.75%).three principal themes in research on depression and diabetes were delineated by the ***,the exploration of the elevated prevalence and etiology of this comorbidity;second,the focus on interventions,particularly randomized controlled trials,aimed at enhancing diabetes management among individuals with depression;and finally,the investigation of the involved risk factors and biological mechanisms under-lying this bidirectional *** there has been a recent surge of interest in the relationship between diabetes and *** could aid researchers to identify areas lacking in the literature and shape future research.

Since the discovery of the hydroformylation(oxo-synthesis or Roelen reaction)and the Reppe-reaction,the transition metal-catalyzed carbonylation reactions,providing versatile,facile,and even atom-economic methods for the selective incorporation of C=O functionality to various skeletons,have gained tremendous importance in synthetic organic chemistry from laboratories to industrial *** carbonylation of carbon-carbon multiple bonds,aromatic halides,triflates,etc.,in the presence of various nucleophiles has led the way to produce aldehydes,carboxylic acids,esters,amides,etc.,in the fine chemical ***,these protocols usually proceed in conventional,fossil-based,and usually toxic reaction ***,several attempts have been directed to developing efficient carbonylation methods in alternative,less harmful,non-fossil-based and even in renewable reaction *** this review,we overview the recent applications of alternative solvents such as water,biomass-based alcohols,γ-valerolactone(GVL),2-methyltetrahydrofuran(2-MetHF),ionic liquids(ILs),deep eutectic solvents(DES),alkyl levulinates,limonene,α-pinene,and dimethyl carbonate as well as fluorous media to improve efficiency,safety and environmentally benign nature of carbonylation protocols.

A number of different cancer chemotherapy agents such as cisplatin,oxaliplatin,and paclitaxel can lead to nerve damage,thereby giving rise to neuropathic pain states that present with mechanical and cold allodynia[1].Although these pain conditions often resolve after completion of the chemotherapy,a significant portion of patients exhibit longlasting pain that can persist longer than 12 months with a negative impact on the quality of life of affected individuals[1].

Objective Hypertriglyceridemic waist(Hw),hypertriglyceridemic waist-to-height ratio(HwHtR),and waist-to-hip ratio(wHR)have been shown to be indicators of cardiometabolic risk ***,it is not clear which indicator is more suitable for children and *** aimed to investigate the relationship between Hw,HwHtR,wHR,and cardiovascular risk factors clustering to determine the best screening tools for cardiometabolic risk in children and *** this was a national cross-sectional *** and biochemical variables were assessed in approximately 70,000 participants aged 6–18 years from seven provinces in ***,physical activity,dietary intake,and family history of chronic diseases were obtained through ***,χ2 and logistic regression analysis was *** A significant sex difference was observed for HwHtR and wHR,but not for Hw *** risk of cardiometabolic health risk factor clustering with Hw phenotype or the HwHtR phenotype was significantly higher than that with the non-Hw or non-HwHtR phenotypes among children and adolescents(Hw:OR=12.22,95%CI:9.54-15.67;HwHtR:OR=9.70,95%CI:6.93-13.58).Compared with the Hw and HwHtR phenotypes,the association between risk of cardiometabolic health risk factors(CHRF)clustering and high wHR was much weaker and not significant(wHR:OR=1.14,95%CI:0.97-1.34).Conclusion Compared with HwHtR and wHR,the Hw phenotype is a more convenient indicator with higher applicability to screen children and adolescents for cardiovascular risk factors.
