Thermo-tectonic history of the Junggar Alatau within the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(SE Kazakhstan,Nw China):Insights from integrated apatite U/Pb,fission track and(U-Th)/He thermochronology

The Junggar Alatau forms the northern extent of the Tian Shan within the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB)at the border of SE Kazakhstan and Nw *** study presents the Palaeozoic-Mesozoic post-collisional thermo-tectonic history of this frontier locality using an integrated approach based on three apatite geo-/thermochronometers:apatite U-Pb,fission track and(U-Th)/*** apatite U-Pb dates record Carboniferous-Permian post-magmatic cooling ages for the sampled granitoids,reflecting the progressive closure of the Palaeo-Asian *** apatite fission track(AFT)data record(partial)preservation of the late Palaeozoic cooling ages,supplemented by limited evidence for Late Triassic(~230-210 Ma)cooling and a more prominent record of(late)Early Cretaceous(~150-110 Ma)*** apatite(U-Th)/He age results are consistent with the(late)Early Cretaceous AFT data,revealing a period of fast cooling at that time in resulting thermal history *** Cretaceous rapid cooling signal is only observed for samples taken along the major Nw-SE orientated shear zone that dissects the study area(the Central Kazakhstan Fault Zone),while Permian and Triassic cooling signals are preserved in low-relief areas,distal to this *** distinct geographical trend with respect to the shear zone,suggests that fault reactivation triggered the Cretaceous rapid cooling,which can be linked to a phase of slab-rollback and associated extension in the distant Tethys *** conclusions were drawn for thermochronology studies along other major Nw-SE orientated shear zones in the Central Asian Orogenic Belt,suggesting a regional phase of Cretaceous exhumation in response to fault reactivation at that time.

Four development stages of collective intelligence

The new generation of artificial intelligence(AI)research initiated by Chinese scholars conforms to the needs of a new information environment changes,and strives to advance traditional artificial intelligence(AI 1.0)to a new stage of AI *** one of the important components of AI,collective intelligence(CI 1.0),i.e.,swarm intelligence,is developing to the stage of CI 2.0(crowd intelligence).Through in-depth analysis and informative argumentation,it is found that an incompatibility exists between CI 1.0 and CI ***,CI 1.5 is introduced to build a bridge between the above two stages,which is based on biocollaborative behavioral *** 1.5 is the transition from CI 1.0 to CI 2.0,which contributes to the compatibility of the two ***,a new interpretation of the meta-synthesis of wisdom proposed by Qian Xuesen is *** meta-synthesis of wisdom,as an improvement of crowd intelligence,is an advanced stage of bionic intelligence,i.e.,CI *** is pointed out that the dual-wheel drive of large language models and big data with deep uncertainty is an evolutionary path from CI 2.0 to CI 3.0,and some elaboration is *** a result,we propose four development stages(CI 1.0,CI 1.5,CI 2.0,and CI 3.0),which form a complete framework for the development of *** different stages are progressively improved and have good *** to the dominant role of cooperation in the development stages of CI,three types of cooperation in CI are discussed:indirect regulatory cooperation in lower organisms,direct communicative cooperation in higher organisms,and shared intention based collaboration in *** division is the main form of achieving cooperation and,for this reason,this paper investigates the relationship between the complexity of behavior and types of labor ***,based on the overall understanding of the four development stages of CI,the future development direction and research issues of CI are explored.

Decentralized Optimal Control and Stabilization of Interconnected Systems with Asymmetric Information

The paper addresses the decentralized optimal control and stabilization problems for interconnected systems subject to asymmetric *** with previous work,a closed-loop optimal solution to the control problem and sufficient and necessary conditions for the stabilization problem of the interconnected systems are given for the first *** main challenge lies in three aspects:Firstly,the asymmetric information results in coupling between control and estimation and failure of the separation ***,two extra unknown variables are generated by asymmetric information(different information filtration)when solving forward-backward stochastic difference ***,the existence of additive noise makes the study of mean-square boundedness an *** adopted technique is proving and assuming the linear form of controllers and establishing the equivalence between the two systems with and without additive noise.A dual-motor parallel drive system is presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm.

Investigation of mechanical and electrical characteristics of selfsensing pneumatic torsional actuators

Soft pneumatic actuators are one of the most promising actuation for soft robots,and great achievements have been *** it remains challenging to endow sensing capabilities to pneumatic actuators,especially for the sensing ability originating directly from the actuator ***,a self-sensing pneumatic torsional actuator(SPTA)is designed based on the electromagnetic induction effect and magnetically responsive *** SPTA can generate feedback voltage and current with the deformation,in which the sensing function comes from its inherent *** investigate the mechanical and electrical characteristics,an experimental platform and a finite element model are established,*** find that the torsion angle and output torque increase in nonlinear with the actuating *** maximum torsion angle is 66.35°,which is 84.34%of that for the actuator fabricated by pure *** maximum output torque(24.9 N mm)improves by 23.19%compared with the actuator made by pure *** regards the electrical characteristics,the maximum feedback voltage and current are 2.90μV and 29.50 nA when the SPTA is actuated by a pressure of−40 *** also demonstrate that the relationship between the torsion angle and the magnetic flux change is approximately ***,the number of turns of wires,magnetic powders contents,and magnetic direction on the feedback voltage and current are *** show that the feedback voltage and current can be enhanced by increasing the number of turns and magnetic powders *** envision that the SPTA would be promising for soft robots to realize their accuracy control and intelligentization.

Surface Polarization Effects on Collapse Transition of Polyelectrolyte Brushes

Polyelectrolyte brushes(PEBs)are commonly used to modify surface that have attracted great research *** dielectric permittivity of the grafted surface is typically significantly different from that of solution,which results in surface polarization(SP)effect with a jump of electric *** is thus important to study how SP alters the PEB’s structure and *** this work,the SP effects on PEB structure was studied using a statistical thermodynamic *** free energy functional to describe SP effect was constructed by using the image-charge ***,the electrostatic potential was solved from a modified Poisson-Boltzmann equation taking the ion solvation effect into *** the absence of SP,the thickness of PEB exhibited a continuous collapse transition when decreasing the solvent *** the presence of SP,the collapse became a jump-like *** energy analysis showed that the long-range Coulombic interaction dominated the transition because of the enhanced counterion condensation in the presence of *** theory provides an effective tool to study SP effect on PEBs,and the results explain the underlying physics in PEB collapse transition.

Long-lived lunar volcanism sustained by precession-driven core-mantle friction

Core-mantle friction induced by the precession of the Moon's spin axis is a strong heat source in the deep lunar mantle during the early phase of a satellite's evolution, but its influence on the long-term thermal evolution still remains poorly explored. Using a one-dimensional thermal evolution model, we show that core-mantle friction can sustain global-scale partial melting in the upper lunar mantle until ～3.1 Ga, thus accounting for the intense volcanic activity on the Moon before ～3.0 Ga. Besides, core-mantle friction tends to suppress the secular cooling of the lunar core and is unlikely to be an energy source for the long-lived lunar core dynamo. Our model also favours the transition of the Cassini state before the end of the lunar magma ocean phase(～4.2 Ga), which implies a decreasing lunar obliquity over time after the solidification of the lunar magma ocean. Such a trend of lunar obliquity evolution may allow volcanically released water to be buried in the lunar regolith of the polar regions. As a consequence, local water ice could be more abundant than previously thought when considering only its accumulation caused by solar wind and comet spreading.

On the Monge–Kantorovich Mass Transfer Problem in Higher Dimensions

This paper mainly investigates the approximation of a global maximizer of the Monge–Kantorovich mass transfer problem in higher dimensions through the approach of nonlinear partial differential equations with Dirichlet *** an approximation mechanism,the primal maximization problem can be transformed into a sequence of minimization *** applying the systematic canonical duality theory,one is able to derive a sequence of analytic solutions for the minimization *** the final analysis,the convergence of the sequence to an analytical global maximizer of the primal Monge–Kantorovich problem will be demonstrated.

Fast nuclear-spin gates and electrons−nuclei entanglement of neutral atoms in weak magnetic fields

we present a novel class of Rydberg-mediated nuclear-spin entanglement in divalent atoms with global laser ***,we show a fast nuclear-spin controlled phase gate of an arbitrary phase realizable either with two laser pulses when assisted by Stark shifts,or with three ***,we propose to create an electrons−nuclei-entangled state,which is named a super bell state(SBS)for it mimics a large Bell state incorporating three small Bell ***,we show a protocol to create a three-atom electrons-nuclei entangled state which contains the three-body w and Greenberger−Horne−Zeilinger(GHZ)states *** protocols possess high intrinsic fidelities,do not require single-site Rydberg addressing,and can be executed with large Rydberg Rabi frequencies in a weak,Gauss-scale magnetic *** latter two protocols can enable measurement-based preparation of Bell,hyperentangled,and GHZ states,and,specifically,SBS can enable quantum dense coding where one can share three classical bits of information by sending one particle.
