The extraction equilibrium of cerium(IV) and fluorine (I) from h2SO4 solution by Cyanex 923 is studied. The extraction mechanism of Ce(IV) and F(I) by Cyanex 923 is determined by the method of slope analysis. The results show that Cyanex 923 can extract hF as hF·L and Ce4+ together with hF as Ce(hF)(hSO4)2(SO4)·2L by which hF comes into the organic phase mainly when there is Ce4+ in the solution, where L is the extractant. Temperature does not affect the extraction. The IR spectra of purified Cyanex 923 saturated with Ce(IV) and hF are discussed.

The mechanical response of a single crystal titanium sample against(0001)α surface impact was investigated using molecular dynamics ***,non-uniform plastic deformation was observed in the *** high strain rates,amorphization occurred near the edge of the contact region where severe shear strain induced a large number of stacking faults(SFs)and *** contrast,the central part of the contact region underwent less deformation with significantly fewer ***,instead of amorphization by consuming SFs and dislocations,there was a gradual increase in the density of dislocations and SFs during the process of *** local amorphous regions eventually grew into shear bands.

The superτ-charm facility(STCF)is an electron–positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics *** is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 geV with a peak luminosity of 0.5×10^(35) cm^(–2)·s^(–1) or *** STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that of the presentτ-charm factory—the BEpCII,providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter(charge-parity violation),in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions,as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard *** STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R&d *** document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF,describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system,and discusses future plans for detector R&d and physics case studies.

Neutron-rich p,Cl,and K isotopes,particularly those with neutron numbers of approximately N=28,have attracted extensive experimental and theoretical *** utilize the ab initio valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group approach,based on chiral nucleon-nucleon and three-nucleon forces,to investigate the exotic properties of these *** calculations of the low-lying spectra are performed.A key finding is the level inversion between 3/2_(1)^(+)and 1/2_(1)^(+)states in odd-A isotopes,attributed to the inversion ofπ0xod_(3/2) andπls_(1/2) single-particle *** ab initio calculations,which incorporate the three-nucleon forces,correlate closely with existing experimental *** calculations of effective proton single-particle energies provide deeper insights into the shell evolution for Z=14 and 16 *** results indicate that the three-body force plays important roles in the shell evolution for Z=14 and 16 sub-shells with neutron numbers ranging from 20 to ***,systematic ab initio calculations are conducted for the low-lying spectra of odd-odd *** results correspond with experimental data and provide new insights for future research into these isotopes up to and beyond the drip line.

lignin,an abundant aromatic polymer in nature,has received significant attention for its potential in the production of bio-oils and chemicals owing to increased resource availability and environmental *** hydrodeoxygenation of guaiacol,a lignin-derived monomer,can produce cyclohexanol,a nylon precursor,in a carbon-negative and environmentally friendly *** study explored the porous properties and the effects of activation methods on the Ru-based catalyst supported by environmentally friendly and cost-effective *** selective cleavage of C_(ary)-O bonds was achieved under mild conditions(160°C,0.2 Mpa h_(2),and 4 h),and alkali activation further improved the catalytic *** characterization methods revealedthat hydrothermal treatment and alkali activation relatively contributed to the excellent performance of the catalysts and influenced their porous structure and Ru dispersion.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results revealed an increased formation of metallic ruthenium,indicating the effective regulation of interaction between active sites and *** synergistic approach used in this study,involving the valorization of cellulose-derived hydrochar and the selective production of nylon precursors from lignin-derived guaiacol,indicated the comprehensive and sustainable utilization of biomass resources.

protoplast-based transient gene expression system has been widely used in plant genome editing because of its simple operation and less *** order to establish a universal protoplast-based transient transfection system for verifying activities of genome editing vectors containing targets in Brassica,we systematically optimized factors affecting protoplast isolation and transient gene *** established an efficient protoplast-based transient gene expression system(pTgE)in Chinese cabbage,achieving.high protoplast yield of 4.9×10^(5)·g^(-1)Fw,viability over 95%,and transfection efficiency of 76%.we showed for the first time that pretreatment of protoplasts with a hypotonic MMg could significantly enhance the transfection ***,protoplasts incubated at 37℃ for 6 min improved the transfection efficiency to 86%.we also demonstrated that pTgE worked well(more than 50%transfection efficiency)in multiple Brassica species including cabbage,pak Choi,Chinese kale,and ***,pTgE was used for validating the activities of CRISpR/Cas9 vectors containing targets in Chinese cabbage,cabbage,and pak choi,demonstrating the broad applicability of the established pTgE for genome editing in Brassica crops.

photocatalytic olefin oxidation using air as an oxidant is an environmentally friendly method for producing epoxides. Covalent organic frameworks（COFs） have emerged as promising photocatalysts in various organic synthesis reactions. The combination of tri-（2-pyridinal aldehyde）-containing precursor with 4,4’,4’’-（1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyl）trianiline generated（N^N）-I-COF. Via imine-to-quinoline transformation and coordination anchorage of Ru（N^N）3unit, Ru（N^N）3@q-COF was obtained with improved chemical stability, skeleton conjugation, and novel photochemical characteristics, and demonstrated excellent photocatalytic activity in olefin epoxidation with a wide range of substrates. The presence of h2O played a crucial role in the formation of reactive oxygen species（ROSs）, which in turn influenced the olefin oxidation process. The hydrophilicity of Ru（N^N）3facilitated the approach of h2O and O2to the photogenerated charges, thereby promoting ROSs generation. The lipophilicity of q-COF allowed for the absorption of olefin substrates, and its nano-channels increased encountering possibility between olefins and ROSs. Consequently, Ru（N^N）3@q-COF provided an intriguing platform for olefin photooxidation and could be recycled multiple times without any degradation in performance. This report revealed that the conversion of classical ROSs into less potent oxidants with rapid kinetic rates played a crucial role in achieving.highly efficient and selective epoxidation of terminal olefins.
