利用2010～2011年的THEMIS卫星观测的卫星电位数据反演电子密度,并用来确定等离子层顶的位置,研究其与地磁指数的关系。利用观测数据得到了一个THEMIS卫星等离子体层顶位置数据库。利用该数据库建立了新的等离子体层顶位置的磁地方时经验模型,并比较了其与现有的四个等离子体层顶位置经验模型的优劣。发现新建立的等离子体层顶位置模型明显优于其余四个经验模型。在模型的三种输入参数中,Kp指数和Dst指数模型的预测效果相当,并明显优于AE指数的模型,这说明磁层的大尺度对流强度是影响等离子体层顶位置最主要的因素。

Evaluation of sensory properties and their correlation coefficients with physico-chemical indices in Turkish set-type yoghurts

Sensory properties and physico-chemical parameters of 10 most popular brands of commercial set-type Turkish yoghurts were evaluated and correlation coefficients between the two indices were investigated. The results indicated that increases in volatile compounds (acetaldehyde, 2-butanone, 2-nanonane, ethyl acetate), titratable acidity, ash and fat contents inversely correlated with the overall acceptability score of the yoghurt. However, diacetyl, C4 to C12 free fatty acids, pH, whiteness index and texture positively correlated with overall acceptability of the yoghurt products. It was concluded that the acceptability of the Turkish set-type yoghurts is mainly governed by the fifteen volatile compounds as well as the physico-chemical properties determined. Thus, the overall acceptability of the yoghurts was not influenced by a single characteristic, but rather by complex in nature.

Synthesis of Thiol-functionalized Mesoporous Materials for Hg2. Trapping

Mesoporous silica materials with uniform channels containing functionalized organic monolayers have been synthesized by grafting a thiol functional group, （3-Mercaptopropyl） trimethoxysilane （MPTMS）. A new approach to heavy metal ion adsorbents based on the covalent grafting of MPTMS groups to the framework pore walls of mesoporous silica molecular sieves has been developed and investigated with regard to hydroxyl group densities, channel dimensions, morphologies and reaction conditions. Results show that the ordered mesostructures of functionalized samples were retained after modification and the thiol functional group was immobilized mainly inside the mesopore channel. The relative surface coverage of the monolayer can be systematically varied up to 95%. The functionalized hybrid materials show exceptional selectivity and capacity for removing mercury from aqueous waste stream with distribution coefficients up to 435,000. The regenerated material show high mercury ion uptake capacity of 2.87 mmol/g （86.5%）.

Evaluation of Inverse Modeling Techniques for Pinpointing water Leakages at Building Constructions

The location and nature of the moisture leakages are sometimes difficult to detect. Moreover, the relation between observed inside surface moisture patterns and where the moisture enters the construction is often not clear. The objective of this paper is to investigate inverse modeling techniques as a tool for the detection of moisture leakage locations in building constructions from inside surface moisture patterns. It is concluded that although the presented methodology is promising, more research is needed to confirm its usability.
