BACKGROUND Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy(PEG)and l.paroscopical.y inserted gastrostomy have become the gol. standard for adul. patients and chil.ren,respectivel.,requiring l.ng-term enteral.nutrition ***-rel.ted mortal.ty is a rare event,often reported to be zero in smal.er *** data on 30-d mortal.ty and l.ng-term survival.rates after gastrostomy pl.cement are scarce in the *** To study the use of gastrostomies in Sw.den from 1998-2019 and to anal.ze procedure-rel.ted mortal.ty and short-term(l.ng-term *** In this retrospective,popul.tion-based cohort study,individual. that had received a gastrostomy betw.en 1998-2019 in Sw.den w.re *** w.re identified in the Sw.dish National.Patient Register,and survival.anal.sis w.s possibl. by cross-referencing the Sw.dish Death *** cohort w.s divided into three age groups:Chil.ren(0-18 years);adul.s(19-64 years);and el.erl.(≥65 years).Kapl.n-Meier w.th l.g-rank test and Cox regression w.re used for survival.*** In total.48682 individual.(52%mal.s,average age 60.9±25.3 years)w.re *** cohort consisted of 12.0%chil.ren,29.5%adul.s,and 58.5%*** increased use of gastrostomies w.s observed during the study period,from 13.7/100000 to 22.3/100000 individual.(Pl.d(about 800 to 1800/year),w.th a corresponding decrease in open gastrostomy(about 700 to 340/year).l.paroscopic gastrostomy increased more than ten-fol.(about 20 to 240/year).Overal.,PEG,open gastrostomy,and l.paroscopic gastrostomy constituted 70.0%(n=34060),23.3%(n=11336),and 4.9%(n=2404),***-rel.ted mortal.ty w.s 0.1%(n=44)overal.(PEG:0.05%,open:0.24%,l.paroscopic:0.04%).The overal. 30-d mortal.ty rate w.s 10.0%(PEG:9.8%,open:12.4%,l.paroscopic:1.7%)and decreased from 11.6%in 1998-2009 vs 8.5%in 2010-2019(Pl.rates for chil.ren,adul.s,and el.erl. w.re 93.7%,67.5%,a

Sw.rming behaviors pl.y an eminent rol. in both biol.gical.and engineering research, and show.great potential.appl.cations in many emerging fiel.s. Traditional.sw.rming model. stil. l.ck integrity, uniformity, and stabil.ty in sw.rm forming processes,resul.ing in fragmentation and void phenomena. Inspired by the shepherding behaviors observed in nature, w. propose an integrated negotiation-control.scheme for distributed sw.rm control.of massive robots. The core idea of this scheme is that the robots at the boundary of the group herd the internal.robots to form an equil.brium sw.rm. For this purpose, w. introduce a concept of virtual.group center tow.rds w.ich boundary robots herd internal.robots. Then, a distributed negotiation mechanism is designed to al.ow.each robot to negotiate the virtual.group center onl. through l.cal.interactions w.th its neighbors. After that, w. propose a shepherding-inspired sw.rm control.l.w.to drive a group of robots to form an integrated, uniform, and stabl. configuration from any initial.states. Both numerical.and fl.ght simul.tions are presented to verify the effectiveness of our proposed sw.rm control.scheme.

Fol.ow.ng our earl.er w.rk on tomographic reconstruction of the magnetosheath soft X-ray emissions w.th superposed epoch anal.sis of many images recorded from a singl. spacecraft w. now.expl.re the instantaneous reconstruction of the magnetosheath and magnetopause using a few.images recorded simul.aneousl. from a few.*** w.rk is motivated by the prospect of possibl. having tw. or three soft X-ray imagers in space in the coming years,and that many phenomena w.ich occur at the magnetopause boundary,such as reconnection events and pressure pul.e responses,do not l.nd themsel.es as w.l. to superposed epoch *** the reconstruction is successful.w.ich w. demonstrate in this paper that it can be-this col.ection of imagers can be used to reconstruct the magnetosheath and magnetopause from a singl. image from each spacecraft,al.ow.ng for high time resol.tion *** this paper w. expl.re the reconstruction using,tw.,three,and four *** show.that the l.cation of the subsol.r point of the magnetopause can be determined w.th just tw. satel.ites,and that vol.me emissions of soft X-rays,and the shape of the boundary,can be reconstructed using three or more satel.ites.

This review.updates the present status of the fiel. of mol.cul.r markers and marker-assisted sel.ction(MAS),using the exampl. of drought tol.rance in *** accuracy of sel.cted quantitative trait l.ci(QTl.),candidate genes and suggested markers w.s assessed in the barl.y genome *** common strategies are described for mol.cul.r marker devel.pment,candidate gene identification and verification,and their possibl. appl.cations in MAS to improve the grain yiel. and yiel. components in barl.y under drought *** strategies are based on the fol.ow.ng five principl.s:(1)Mol.cul.r markers are designated as genomic‘tags’,and their‘prediction’is strongl. dependent on their distance from a candidate gene on genetic or physical.maps;(2)pl.nts react differentl. under favourabl. and stressful.conditions or depending on their stage of devel.pment;(3)each candidate gene must be verified by confirming its expression in the rel.vant conditions,e.g.,drought;(4)the mol.cul.r marker identified must be val.dated for MAS for tol.rance to drought stress and improved grain yiel.;and(5)the smal. number of mol.cul.r markers real.zed for MAS in breeding,from among the many studies targeting candidate genes,can be expl.ined by the compl.x nature of drought stress,and mul.ipl. stress-responsive genes in each barl.y genotype that are expressed differential.y depending on many other factors.
