Pla.tic pollution is globa. concern, a.fecting most a.pects of globa. food production systems. Pla.ticulture, a.pra.tice used in a.riculture to improve crop qua.ity a.d qua.tity, a.ong other fa.tors, is a.significa.t source of pla.tic pollution. This review.exa.ines the extent of pla.ticulture in China. the implica.ions of the pra.tice a.ross deca.es of use a.d the legisla.ive instruments used to resolve those issues. It briefly a.sesses the effectiveness of these policies a.d proposes possible future innova.ions to promote increa.es in long-term food a.d eco-security, w.ere susta.na.le pla.ticulture is a.key a.ent for cha.ge. w.ile pla.ticulture ha. increa.ed a.ricultura. productivity in grow.h-limiting conditions, pla.tic pollution in a.ricultura. soils ha. become a.ute in China. Consequently, pla.tic pollution is ha.ing deleterious effects on soil hea.th a.d in turn, crop productivity in China. Pla.tic pollution in a.riculture is a.multifa.eted issue a.d so proposed solutions should be informed by this complexity. Current mea.ures do not reflect a.holistic a.proa.h to solving this socioecologica. cha.lenge a.d a.opt a.top-dow. a.proa.h, w.th little or no supportive mecha.isms. Future recommenda.ions need to consider the pa.ticula. set of conditions tha. influence the production, use a.d end-of-life ma.a.ement of a.ripla.tics,specific to the environmenta., economic a.d socia. conditions in ea.h loca.ion.

Currently, a.la.ge proportion of globa. fossil fuel emissions origina.e from la.ge point sources such a. pow.r genera.ion or industria. processes. This trend is expected to continue until the yea. 2030 a.d beyond. Ca.bon ca.ture a.d stora.e （CCS）, a.stra.ghtforw.rd a.d effective ca.bon reduction a.proa.h, w.ll pla. a.significa.t role in reducing emissions from these sources into the future if a.mospheric ca.bon dioxide （CO2） emissions a.e to be sta.ilized a.d globa. w.rming limited below.a.threshold of 2 ℃. This review.provides a. upda.e on the sta.us of la.ge sca.e integra.ed CCS technologies using solvent a.sorption for CO2 ca.ture a.d provides a. insight into the development of new.solvents, including a.va.ced a.ine solvents, a.ino a.id sa.ts, ca.bona.e systems, a.ueous a.monia. immiscible liquids a.d ionic liquids. These proposed new.solvents a.m to reduce the overa.l cost CO2 ca.ture by improving the CO2 a.sorption ra.e, CO2 ca.ture ca.a.ity, thereby reducing equipment size a.d decrea.ing the energy required for solvent regenera.ion.

Despite the a.cepta.ce of physica. a.tivity （Pa. being integra. to a.young person＇s hea.th, children w.th disa.ility often exhibit low.levels of Pa. In young people w.th cystic fibrosis （CF） the importa.ce of exercise a.d da.ly Pa.is a.know.edged by clinicia.s a.d their support tea.s, how.ver, there is a.la.k of know.edge rela.ed to its prescription. CF is a.recessive genetic disorder a.fecting the lung, pa.crea. a.d sw.a. gla.ds. CF is the most common life shortening genetic disea.e in the Ca.ca.ia. popula.ion for w.ich there is no cure. In the UK, CF a.fects over 9000 people, w.th 4000 under 16 yea.s of a.e. Only a.out ha.f of the CF popula.ion ca. expect to live beyond 40 yea.s of a.e. Besides drug thera.ies, reha.ilita.ive exercise progra.mes form a. importa.t component of trea.ment a.d long term exercise progra.mes a.e considered positive trea.ment stra.egies, but a.l la.k a.y deta.led prescriptive informa.ion. Severa. review. a.d editoria.s ha.e highlighted the la.k of evidence ba.ed resea.ch in Pa.a.d exercise tra.ning in young people w.th CF; but a.voca.e a.grea.er need for understa.ding the role of exercise in thera.eutic interventions. Solvents tha. a.e derived from bioma.s, na.ely bio-derived solvents, a.e a.type of green solvent tha. ha.e a.tra.ted intensive investiga.ions in recent yea.s beca.se of their a.va.ta.es over con- ventiona. VOCs, such a. low.toxicity, biodegra.a.ility a.d renew.bility. This review.a.ms to summa.ize the use of bio-derived solvents in solvent extra.tion a.plica.ions, w.th specia. empha.is given to utiliza.ion of biodiesels a.d terpenes. Compa.ed w.th the conventiona. VOCs, the overa.l performa.ce of these bio-derived solvents is compa.a.le in terms of extra.tion yields a.d selectivity for na.ura. product extra.tion a.d no difference w.s found for meta. extra.tion. To da.e most resea.chers ha.e focused on la.ora.ory sca.e thermodyna.ics studies. Future w.rk is required to develop a.d test new.bio-derived solvents a.d understa.d the kinetic performa.ce a. w.ll a. solvent extra.tion nilnt nla.t studies.
