The recent outbreak of the coronavirus disease of 2019(Covid-19)has been causing many disruptions among the education systems worldwide,most of them due to the abrupt transition to online *** sudden upsurge in digital electronic devices usage,namely personal computers,laptops,tablets and smart-phones is unprecedented,which leads to a new wave of both mental and physical health problems among students,for example eye-related *** overexpo-sure to electronic devices,extended screen time usage and lack of outdoor sun-light have put a consequential strain on the student’s ophthalmic health because of their young age and a relative lack of responsibility on their own *** to take appropriate external measures to mitigate the negative effects of this pro-cess could lead to common ophthalmic illnesses such as myopia or more serious *** remedy this situation,we propose a software solution that is able to track and capture images of its users’eyes to detect symptoms of eye illnesses while simultaneously giving them warnings and even offering *** meet the requirements of a small and light model that is operable on low-end devices without information loss,we optimized the original MobileNetV2 model with depth-wise separable convolutions by altering the parameters in the last layers with an aim to minimize the resizing of the input image and obtained a new model which we call *** with applying the knowledge distillation tech-nique and ResNet-18 as a teacher model to train the student model,we have suc-cessfully increased the accuracy of the EyeNet model up to 87.16%and support the development of a model compatible with embedded systems with limited computing power,accessible to all students.

Background Clonorchiasis and opisthorchiasis, caused by the liver flukesClonorchis sinensis andOpisthorchis viverrini respectively, represent significant neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) in Asia. The co-existence of these pathogens in overlapping regions complicates effective disease control strategies. This study aimed to clarify the distribution and interaction of these diseases within Southeast *** We systematically collated occurrence records of human clonorchiasis (n = 1809) and opisthorchiasis (n = 731) across the Southeast Asia countries. Utilizing species distribution models incorporating environmental and climatic data, coupled machine learning algorithms with boosted regression trees, we predicted and distinguished endemic areas for each fluke species. Machine learning techniques, including geospatial analysis, were employed to delineate the boundaries between these *** Our analysis revealed that the endemic range ofC. sinensis andO. viverrini in Southeast Asia primarily spans across part of China, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. During the period from 2000 to 2018, we identifiedC. sinensis infections in 84 distinct locations, predominantly in southern China (Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) and northern Vietnam. In a stark contrast,O. viverrini was more widely distributed, with infections documented in 721 locations across Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Critical environmental determinants were quantitatively analyzed, revealing annual mean temperatures ranging between 14 and 20 °C in clonorchiasis-endemic areas and 24–30 °C in opisthorchiasis regions (P < 0.05). The machine learning model effectively mapped a distinct demarcation zone, demonstrating a clear separation between the endemic areas of these two liver flukes with AUC from 0.9 to1. A study on flow fields and performance of water wheel turbine using experimental and numerical analyses

In this paper, an analysis of the performance and flow fields of water wheel turbines for tidal energy extraction is carried out using experimental and numerical methods. The purpose of this work is to develop a water turbine suitable for sites, where fast and shallow surface flows are available, such as rivers or tidal currents. For both methods, the water wheel turbine is tested over a range of tip speed ratios with a differing number of rotor blades, ranging between three and twelve. The results indicate that the numerical simulation shows agreement with the experiment in most cases. Also, the water wheel turbine operates effectively at a range of small tip-speed ratios, where the highest turbine efficiency is produced. Under the same working conditions, the turbines using between six and nine blades generate a greater efficiency and cause lesser reverse flows than others when submerged in water. In contrast, the 3-bladed turbine is the least efficient design as it produces the lowest amount of energy and causes intense vibrations and noises. These noises are a result of a collision between the incoming flow of the channel and the wheel blades during the experimentation, especially at high load conditions. By adding more blades, the torque generated is improved considerably; however, the upstream and downstream depths of the turbine, in this case, are also elevated ***, in the inlet region, the 3-bladed and 6-bladed turbines have a smaller shock loss and a lower resistance to the main flow from the inlet than the others. Meanwhile, it is found that the flow in the outlet region on the turbines with between nine and twelve blades is in the opposite direction to the wheel's rotation, significantly obstructing the main flow from the inlet.

Objective:To evaluate the antitumor activity both in vitro and in vivo of saponin–phospholipid complex of Panax ***:The in vitro cytotoxic effect of saponins extract and saponin–phospholipid complex against human lung cancer NCI-H460 and breast cancer cell lines BT474 was examined using MTS *** in vivo evaluation of antitumor potential,saponin and saponin–phospholipid complex were administered orally in rats induced mammary carcinogenesis by 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene,for 30 ***:Our data showed that saponin–phospholipid complex had stronger anticancer effect compared to saponin *** IC50 values of saponin–phospholipid complex and saponin extract for NCI-H460 cell lines were 28.47 mg/m L and 47.97 mg/mL,respectively and these values for BT474 cells were 53.18 mg/mL and 86.24 mg/mL,*** vivo experiments,administration of saponin,saponin–phospholipid complex and paclitaxel(positive control) effectively suppressed 7,12-dimethylbenz(a) anthracene-induced breast cancer evidenced by a decrease in tumor volume,the reduction of lipid peroxidation level and increase in the body weight,and elevated the enzymatic antioxidant activities of superoxide dismutase,catalase,glutathione peroxidase in rat breast ***:Our study suggests that saponin extract from Panax notoginseng and saponin–phospholipid complex have potential to prevent cancer,especially breast cancer.

Optimum Design for the Magnification Mechanisms Employing Fuzzy Logic-ANFIS

To achieve high work performance for compliant mechanisms of motion scope,continuous work condition,and high frequency,we propose a new hybrid algorithm that could be applied to multi-objective optimum *** this investigation,we use the tools of finite element analysis(FEA)for a magnificationmechanism to find out the effects of design variables on the magnification ratio of the mechanism and then select an optimal mechanism that could meet design requirements.A poly-algorithm including the Grey-Taguchi method,fuzzy logic system,and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS)algorithm,was utilized mainly in this *** FEA outcomes indicated that design variables have significantly affected on magnification ratio of the mechanism and verified by analysis of variance and analysis of the signal to noise of grey relational *** results are also predicted by employing the tool of ANFIS in *** conclusion,the optimal findings obtained:Its magnification is larger than 40 times in comparison with the initial design,the maximum principal stress is 127.89MPa,and the first modal shape frequency obtained 397.45 ***,we found that the outcomes obtained deviation error compared with predicted results of displacement,stress,and frequency are 8.76%,3.6%,and 6.92%,respectively.

A Study of the Optical Properties in ZnWO<sub>4</sub>Nanorods Synthesized by Hydrothermal Method

We investigate the effect of synthesized time on the structure, as well as optical properties in ZnWO4 nano rod prepared by hydrothermal method. The prepared rods were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman scattering, absorption and photoluminescent (PL) spectra techniques. The size and morphology of ZnWO4 nano-rod can be controlled by adjusting the reaction time. The resultant sample is a pure phase of ZnWO4 without any impurities. The results showed that the optical property of ZnWO4 nanoparticles obviously relied on their rod sizes.

隐喻是一个既古老又新鲜的研究课题。古老,是因为自从公元前300年开始,亚里斯多德(Aristotle)学派已经对隐喻进行研究。而说它新鲜,是因为认知语言学的诞生给隐喻带来新的观点,隐喻从仅作为修辞手段延伸至人的认知手段。认知语言学认为,隐喻不仅仅存在于语言层面而存在于人类的思维中,隐喻是思维的基础。认知隐喻已给各个领域带来新的研究视角,例如:味觉词。味觉词是表示味觉感受的词语,是与人们的生活有着密切关系的。其具有极强的构词能力,引申义也相当丰富,在汉语和越南语中都形成了各自较为丰富的词汇系统。鉴于此,本研究从认知语言学角度对汉语基本味觉词"酸","甜","苦","辣","咸"和越南语相对应"chua","(?)","dang","cay","(?)"进行对比,分析汉越味觉词隐喻意义的引申规律及其在两种语言中的异同,并探析造成异同的文化、思维等成因。除了对前人的研究现况作出综述,对本课题的研究目的和意义、研究方法、语料来源作出简要介绍的绪论部分之外,本文的内容分为五章:第一章介绍课题研究的理论基础,包括概念隐喻理论及隐喻的本质,通感式隐喻、意象图式和认知域等相关概念。第二章讨论味觉的特征,对汉越两种语言种的基本味觉词进行界定并说明其在每种语言成为表示味觉的词语演变过程。第三章对汉越两种语言的通感隐喻现象进行对比研究。第四章对汉越基本味觉词进行对比,分析两种语言种味觉词隐喻意义的异同,其中侧重于区别之处,同时对每一味觉词引申的认知过程进行探讨。第五章讨论引起汉语和越南语基本味觉词隐喻意义异同的原因,

Minimizing Warpage for Macro-Size Fused Deposition Modeling Parts

In this study,we investigated warpage and corner lifting minimization for three-dimensional printed parts generated by macro-size fused deposition modeling(FDM).First,the reasons for warpage were theoretically *** approach revealed that the thermal deformation and differential volumetric shrinkage of the extruded molten plastic resulted in warpage of FDM *** addition,low adhesion between the deposited model and the heated or non-heated printing bed may intensify warpage *** a next step,initial small-size and medium-size models were used to identify parameters to manage and minimize warpage in a way that would reduce material consumption and running ***,a macro-size model was built to experimentally investigate and verify the technical solutions to minimize the warpage of FDM *** conclusion,an improved part with reduced warpage was efficiently produced after detailed consideration of thermal effects and adhesion *** exists to widen the application scope of FDM technology in manufacturing for processes like thermoforming that involve mold core fabrication with *** technology,which has applications not only in mechanical engineering but also in related engineering fields,is convenient and could readily be applied to practical manufacturing industries.
