Calix[n]arenes was utilized to detect PABA,the primary sunscreen *** study investigates the interaction of.calix[4]arene(C4),calix[6]arene(C6),and PABA using the Langmuir method and f.rst-principle density f.nctional theory(Df.).Using the Langmuir-Schaef.r(LS)technique,an ultrathin f.lm composed of.calix[n]arenes and their complexes with PABA was deposited on various *** on the Langmuir study,the PABA molecule was bonded to the lower rims of.both C4 and C6 with the host-guest ratio of.1:*** of.the LS f.lms f.rmed were then characterized by ultravioletvisible spectroscopy(UV-Vis),f.urier-transf.rm inf.ared spectroscopy(f.IR)and carbon,hydrogen,nitrogen,sulf.r elemental analyzer(CHnS).The band gap reduction obtained in the Df. study denotes the charge transf.r interaction with promising reactivity between the calix[n]arenes and *** sensing of.PABA by C4 and C6 is successf.l based on the f.rmation of.bonding between them due to the hosts’ef.ective trapping *** outcomes of.this study could be applied to drug delivery systems f.r f.ture pharmaceutical and medical applications.

Conf.rmance control or water shut-of. is a technique used to improve oil *** conf.rmance control,polymers block high permeability water areas and redistribute water drive toward unswept oil *** this study,co-polymers(denoted ATP-PGV/AM-co-AMPS)were synthesized using acrylamide(AM)and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulf.nic acid(AMPS)as the monomers,polyethylene glycol(PEG)-200 and methylenebisacrylamide(MBA)as the crosslinkers,attapulgite(ATP)and bentonite(PGV)as the clay types,and ammonium persulf.te(APS)as the initiator,in addition to paraf.in oil and *** were synthesized using inverse emulsion polymerization with dif.erent concentrations of.monomers,crosslinkers,and clays,and they were characterized using f.urier-transf.rm inf.ared(f.IR)spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX).f.IR spectra of.the samples conf.rmed the existence of.sulf.nate and hydroxyl groups,which are important f.r polymer ***-EDX images indicated that the morphology and elemental composition were dif.erent bef.re and af.er swelling,conf.rming the occurrence of.***,samples were placed in sodium chloride solution(20,000 ppm)f.r 7 days to evaluate swelling at both room temperature and 90°*** analysis(TGA)and dif.erential scanning calorimetry(DSC)were used to determine the thermal characteristics of.the ***,rheological measurements were used to assess the def.rmation and rheological behavior of.the *** results showed that af.er 1 day,good swelling without loss of.mechanical strength was achieved with the composite synthesized using 10%AM,15%AMPS,6%PGV,and 10%ATP.

An innovative microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) natural f.bre powder-reinf.rced PLA biocomposite was investigated using the hand lay-up technique. The polymer matrix composite (PMC) samples were prepared by varying the weight percentages (wt.%) of.both PLA matrix and MCC reinf.rcement: pure PLA/100:0, 90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40 and 50:50 wt.%, respectively. f.om the results obtained, MCC powder, with its impressive aspect ratio, proved to be an ideal reinf.rcement f.r the PLA, exhibiting exceptional mechanical properties. It was evident that the 80:20 wt.% biocomposite sample exhibited the maximum improvement in the tensile, f.exural, notched impact, compressive strength and hardness by 28.85%, 20.00%, 91.66%, 21.53% and 35.82%, respectively compared to the pure PLA sample. Similarly, during the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), the same 80:20 wt.% biocomposite sample showed a minimum weight loss of.20% at 400°C, among others. The morphological study using f.eld Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (f.-SEM) revealed that the unif.rm distribution of.cellulose reinf.rcement in the PLA matrix actively improved the mechanical properties of.the biocomposites, especially the optimal 80:20 wt.% sample. Importantly, it was evident that the optimal PLA/cellulose biocomposite sample could be a suitable and alternative sustainable, environmentally f.iendly and biodegradable material f.r semi/structural applications, replacing synthetic and traditional components. © 2024 The Authors.

Background: In recent years, online trolling has garnered signif.cant attention due to its detrimental ef.ects on mental health and social well-being. The current study examined the inf.uence of.peer victimization on adolescent online trolling behavior, proposing that hostile attribution bias mediated this relationship and that trait mindf.lness moderated both the direct and indirect ef.ects. Methods: A total of.833 Chinese adolescents completed the measurements of.peer victimization, hostile attribution bias, trait mindf.lness, and online trolling. Moderated mediation analysis was perf.rmed to examine the relationships between these variables. Results: Af.er controlling f.r gender and residential address, the study f.und a signif.cant positive correlation between peer victimization and online trolling, with hostile attribution bias serving as a mediator. In addition, trait mindf.lness moderated the direct relationship between peer victimization and online trolling. Specif.cally, the ef.ect of.peer victimization on online trolling was attenuated when adolescents had high levels of.trait mindf.lness. The results of.the study emphasized the joint role of.peer and personal f.ctors in adolescents’ online trolling behavior and provide certain strategies f.r intervening in adolescents’ online trolling behavior. Conclusion: The results of.the study suggest that strategies f.cusing on peer support and mindf.lness training can have a positive impact on reducing online trolling behavior, promoting adolescents’ mental health, and their long-term development. © 2024 The Authors.

A chemo-mechanical model is developed to investigate the ef.ects on the stress development of.the coating of.polycrystalline ni-rich LinixMnyCo_(z)O_(2)(x≥0.8)(nMC)particles with poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT).The simulation results show that the coating of.primary nMC particles signif.cantly reduces the stress generation by ef.iciently accommodating the volume change associated with the lithium dif.usion,and the coating layer plays roles both as a cushion against the volume change and a channel f.r the lithium transport,promoting the lithium distribution across the secondary particles more ***,the lower stif.ness,higher ionic conductivity,and larger thickness of.the coating layer improve the stress *** paper provides a mathematical f.amework f.r calculating the chemo-mechanical responses of.anisotropic electrode materials and f.ndamental insights into how the coating of.nMC active particles mitigates stress levels.

Ef.ects of.Supplemental Glutamine and Lysine on Growth Perf.rmance of.Broiler Chickens

The optimum levels of.Lysine and Glutamine needed f.r growth perf.rmance and maintenance of.the chicken broilers were evaluated in a randomized 3 × 4 f.ctorial arrangement of.dietary treatments. The battery cages measured 99 × 66 × 25 cm that can be suf.icient f.r 5 birds. Day old Chicken broilers totaling 180 were assigned to dietary treatments comprising of.3 concentrations of.Lysine (0.85, 1.14, and 1.42) each in combination with 4 concentrations of.Glutamine (0, 1, 2, and 3). Each dietary treatment was replicated 3 times and each replication had 5 birds. The birds were given f.ed and water ad libitum with a 23-hour light regimen f.r a period of.4 weeks. Then, the experimental birds were evaluated f.r body weight gain, f.ed consumption, and f.ed conversion in order to determine their optimum requirement f.r dietary Lysine and Glutamine. Based on the f.ndings of.this study, the highest perf.rmance was observed in birds f.d the diet supplemented with 1.42 lysine and 1% glutamine, but the highest improvement in f.ed conversion was observed in diet contain 1.14 and 1.42 with 1% and 3% glutamine, respectively. Birds f.d 1.42 lysine and 1% glutamine had the highest total body weight gain and f.ed consumption. The lysine requirements in the diet f.r Chicken are between 1.14 and 1.42 with glutamine level of.1%.

Background The nationally determined contribution（nDC） presented by Argentina within the f.amework of.the Paris Agreement is aligned with the decisions made in the context of.the United nations f.amework Conven-tion on Climate Change（Unf.CC） on the reduction of.emissions derived f.om def.restation and f.rest degradation, as well as f.rest carbon conservation（REDD+）. In addition, climate change constitutes one of.the greatest threats to f.rest biodiversity and ecosystem services. However, the soil organic carbon（SOC） stocks of.native f.rests have not been incorporated into the f.rest Ref.rence Emission Levels calculations and f.r conservation planning under cli-mate variability due to a lack of.inf.rmation. The objectives of.this study were:（i） to model SOC stocks to 30 cm of.native f.rests at a national scale using climatic, topographic and vegetation as predictor variables, and（ii） to relate SOC stocks with spatial–temporal remotely sensed indices to determine biodiversity conservation concerns due to threats f.om high inter-annual climate *** We used 1040 f.rest soil samples（0–30 cm） to generate spatially explicit estimates of.SOC native f.rests in Argentina at a spatial resolution of.approximately 200 m. We selected 52 potential predictive environmental covari-ates, which represent key f.ctors f.r the spatial distribution of.SOC. All covariate maps were uploaded to the Google Earth Engine cloud-based computing platf.rm f.r subsequent modelling. To determine the biodiversity threats f.om high inter-annual climate variability, we employed the spatial–temporal satellite-derived indices based on Enhanced Vegetation Index（EVI） and land surf.ce temperature（LST） images f.om Landsat *** SOC model（0–30 cm depth） prediction accounted f.r 69% of.the variation of.this soil property across the whole native f.rest coverage in Argentina.
