rCOS： a formal model-driven engineering method for component-based software

Model-driven architecture （MDA） has become a main stream technology for software-intensive system design. The main engineering principle behind it is that the inherent complexity of software development can only be mastered by building, analyzing and manipulating system models. MDA also deals with system complexity by provid- ing component-based design techniques, allowing indepen- dent component design, implementation and deployment, and then system integration and reconfiguration based on com- ponent interfaces. The model of a system in any stage is an integration of models of different viewpoints. Therefore, for a model-driven method to be applied effectively, it must pro- vide a body of techniques and an integrated suite of tools for model construction, validation, and transformation. This requires a number of modeling notations for the specifica- tion of different concerns and viewpoints of the system. These notations should have formally defined syntaxes and a unified theory of semantics. The underlying theory of the method is needed to underpin the development of tools and correct use of tools in software development, as well as to formally ver- ify and reason about properties of systems in mission-critical applications. The modeling notations, techniques, and tools must be designed so that they can be used seamlessly in sup- porting development activities and documentation of artifactsin software design processes. This article presents such a method, called the rCOS, focusing on the models of a system at different stages in a software development process, their se- mantic integration, and how they are constructed, analyzed, transformed, validated, and verified.

Evaluation of Turbulence Models in Predicting Hypersonic and Subsonic Base Flows Using Grid Adaptation Techniques

The flows behind the base of a generic rocket, at both hypersonic and subsonic flow conditions, are numerically studied. The main concerns are addressed to the evaluation of turbulence models and the using of grid adaptation techniques. The investigation focuses on two configurations, related to hypersonic and subsonic experiments. The applicability tests of different turbu- lence models are conducted on the level of two-equation models calculating the steady state solution of the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes（RANS） equations. All used models, the original Wilcox k-co, the Menter shear-stress transport （SST） and the ex- plicit algebraic Reynolds stress model（EARSM） formulation, predict an asymmetric base flow in both cases caused by the support of the models. A comparison with preliminary experimental results indicates a preference for the SST and EARSM results over the results from the older k-co model. Sensitivity studies show no significant influence of the grid topology or the location of the laminar to turbulent transition on the base flow field, but a strong influence of even small angles of attack is reported from the related experiments.

The number of patients with gastric cancer has more than doubled since 1985 in developing countries. Thus, the questions of whether it can be predicted from gastritis morphology, who is at risk and who has a lower risk of developing gastric carcinoma are raised. H pylori-infection leads to erosions, ulcerations, carcinoma, mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT)- lymphoma and extragastric diseases only in some individuals. The frequency of ulcerations among H pylori-infected individuals is estimated to be 13%, gastric cancer about 1% and MALT lymphoma around 0.1%. In the literature a multistep model from chronic active H pylori -infection through multifocal atrophy, intestinal metaplasia, dysplasia (intraepithelial neoplasia) and carcinoma has been described. But this model cannot be applied to all routine cases. Since risk factors such as metaplasia and atrophy are paracancerous rather than precancerous conditions, this raises the question whether there is a better morphological marker. Differences in topography, grade and activity of Helicobacter gastritis in the antrum and corpus might be good markers for identifying those who are at risk of developing gastric cancer. It is known that the so-called corpus dominant H pylori gastritis is found more frequently among individuals with early and advanced gastric cancer and within high risk populations. This is valid both for first- degree relatives of gastric cancer patients and for patients with gastric adenoma and hyperplastic polyps. In conclusion, corpus-dominant H pylori gastritis is significantly more common in patients with advanced and early gastric cancer, first-degree relatives of patients with gastric cancer, patients with gastric adenoma and gastric hyperplastic polyps. Therefore, all these patients are at risk of developing gastric cancer. Next, the question of who is at risk of developing corpus-dominant gastritis is raised. Heavy metal pollution is a key environmental *** extracting heavy metals could accomplish water purification and resource recycling *** is a promising approach with a facile process,adaptability for the broad concentration of feed water,and high ***,the adsorption method faces challenges in synthesizing highperformance sorbents and regenerating adsorbents *** is an environmentally friendly sorbent with low-cost production on a large ***,the selectivity behavior and regeneration of FeOOH are seldom ***,we investigated the selectivity of FeOOH in a mixed solution of Co^(2+),Ni^(2+),and Pb^(2+)and proposed to enhance the capacity of FeOOH and regenerate it by using external *** charge,the FeOOH electrode shows a Pb^(2+)uptake capacity of 20 mg/*** applying a voltage of-0.2/+0.8 V,the uptake capacity increases to a maximum of 42 mg/g and the desorption ratio is 70%-80%.In 35 cycles,FeOOH shows a superior selectivity towards Pb^(2+)compared with Co^(2+)and Ni^(2+),with a purity of 97%±3%in the *** high selectivity is attributed to the lower activation energy for Pb^(2+)*** capacity retentions at the 5^(th)and the 35^(th)cycles are ca.80%and ca.50%,respectively,comparable to the chemical regeneration *** industrially exhausted granular ferric hydroxide as the electrode material,the system exhibits a Pb^(2+)uptake capacity of 37.4 mg/g with high *** work demonstrates the feasibility of regenerating FeOOH by charge and provides a new approach for recycling and upcycling FeOOH sorbent.

In model driven architecture(MDA),system requirements are first captured by UML(unified modeling language)use cases with sequence diagrams to describe their intended use and implemented by classes of objected-oriented languages in the subsequent design *** is important that the dynamic behavior specified by the sequence diagrams is in full compliance with the implementation *** paper proposes an automatic approach and tool support for generating class contracts,which define a precondition and a postcondition for each operation of the *** former serves as a guard to ensure invocations of the operations respect the semantics introduced by the sequence diagrams,and the latter places the system in a legal state to facilitate the succeeding operation *** contracts can be easily mapped to code of an object-oriented language such as ***,the approach helps to bridge the gap between the requirements and design stages of system development *** use our model transformation tool to first generate a UML protocol state machine from the sequence diagrams,and then derive the contracts for a controller *** transformations take into account the concurrency and critical constructs of the respective UML diagrams.

In the present study,a plasma-electrochemical method was demonstrated for the synthesis of europium doped ceria ***(NO3)3· 6H2O and Eu(NO3)3·5H2O were used as the starting materials and being dissolved in the distilled water as the electrolyte *** plasma-liquid interaction process was in-situ investigated by an optical emission spectroscopy,and the obtained products were characterized by complementary analytical *** showed that crystalline cubic CeO2:Eu3+ nanoparticles were successfully obtained,with a particle size in the range from 30 to 60 *** crystal structure didn't change during the calcination at a temperature from 400℃ to 1000℃,with the average erystallite size being estimated to be 52 nm at 1000℃.Eu3+ ions were shown to be effectively and uniformly doped into the CeO2 *** a result,the obtained nanophosphors emit apparent red color under the UV irradiation,which can be easily observed by naked *** photoluminescence spectrum further proves the downshift behavior of the obtained products,where characteristic 5Do → 7F1,2,3 transitions of Eu3+ ions had been *** to the simple,flexible and environmental friendly process,this plasma-electrochemical method should have great potential for the synthesis of a series of nanophosphors,especially for bio-application purpose.
