Influence Researches of Fused Calcium Hexaluminate Amount on Metal Corrosion Resistance of Alumina Refractories

Calcium hexaluminate is one from such perspective materials. It is characterized by high refractoriness （ above 1 830 ~C ） , as well as properties stability in reducing atmosphere, high alkali- and slag-resistance, low thermal conductivity and wettability by molten metals. In this work influence researches of fused calcium hexaluminate material additive in amount of 5%, 15% amt 25% on the main properties of alumina refractories were carried out. It is established that, the refractories containing the additive of 25% calcium hexaluminate material are characterized by the highest properties, slightly impregnated with metal melt and the highest metal corrosion resistance. The alumina purging plugs fi）r blowing of metal with calcium hexaluminate material additive are produced and intended to one metallurgical plant of Ukraine for carrying out tests.

Experimental data from the national Air Surveillance network of Japan from 1974 to 1996 and from inde-pendent measurements performed simultaneously in the regions of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Odessa (Ukraine) and the Ukrainian “Academician Vernadsky” Antarctic station (64o15W;65o15S), where the air elemental composition was determined by the standard method of atmospheric particulate matter (PM) collection on nucleopore filters and subsequent neutron activation analysis, were analyzed. Comparative analysis of dif-ferent pairs of atmospheric PM element concentration data sets, measured in different regions of the Earth, revealed a stable linear (on a logarithmic scale) correlation, showing a power law increase of every atmos-pheric PM element mass and simultaneously the cause of this increase – fractal nature of atmospheric PM genesis. Within the framework of multifractal geometry we show that the mass (volume) of atmospheric PM elemental components has a log normal distribution, which on a logarithmic scale with respect to the random variable (elemental component mass) is identical to normal distribution. This means that the parameters of two-dimensional normal distribution with respect to corresponding atmospheric PM-multifractal elemental components measured in different regions, are a priory connected by equations of direct and inverse linear regression, and the experimental manifestation of this fact is the linear correlation between the concentra-tions of the same elemental components in different sets of experimental atmospheric PM data.

Quantum-chemical calculations of polyatomic clusters simulating a boundary between grains in a surface layer of steel were carried out. Along with iron atoms the clusters contain atoms of alloying and impurity elements which appear on the boundary due to grain boundary segregation or intergrain diffusion. The influence of the chemical composition of a segregate on the strength of coupling between grains and, eventually, on steel wear resistance is analyzed. Results obtained show that the degree of the strength of binding of segregated atoms with atoms of iron in a metal surface layer is an essential factor influencing wear resistance. It is found that the dependence of energy of binding of atoms of different elements with grain surface on the atomic number complies with the periodic law. This fact can be considered as a theoretical base for the prognostication of strength properties of steel with different composition of alloying and impurity elements. Potential energy curves corresponding to the movement of atoms on iron surface are studied. They can be useful for design of the composition of multi-layer coats on steel.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of simultaneous administration of dutasteride,tadalafil and solifenacin in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)with overactive bladder symptoms and lower urinary tract obstruction in previously unsuccessfully treated *** Patients in Group A(n=97)received dutasteride 0.5 mg/day,tadalafil 2.5 mg/day,and solifenacin 2.5 mg/day;Group B(n=95)received dutasteride 0.5 mg/day,tadalafil 5 mg/day,and solifenacin 5 mg/day;Group C(n=103)received dutasteride 0.5 mg/day,tadalafil 20 mg/day,and solifenacin 10 mg/*** functional status of the lower urinary tract was assessed using the International Prostate Symptom Score(I-PSS),Overactive Bladder Questionnaire(OABq),International Index of Erectile Function(IIEF),and Male Sexual Health Questionnaire Ejaculatory Dysfunction(MSHQ-EjD)as well as *** The total score of the sexual function remained unchanged in Group B of patients 81.3 points vs.80.2 points(p>0.05)according to MSHQ-EjD,61.4 points vs.51.2 points(p>0.05)according to IIEF *** total assessment of symptoms of hyperactivity significantly decreased in Group C according to OABq data after the 4th week of the study(17.5 points vs.26.1 points,pnd remained below the baseline until the end of the study(15.2 points).Conclusions The simultaneous administration of standard doses of dutasteride,solifenacin,and tadalafil for 3 months is safe,effective,and can be recommended for patients with BPH to reduce symptoms of obstruction and hyperactivity of the bladder and maintain sexual function.
