Color polymorphism offers rich opportunities for studying the eco-evolutionary mechanisms that drive the adaptations of local populations to heterogeneous and changing *** explored the color morph diversity and composition in a Chrysomela lapponica leaf beetle across its entire distribution range to test the hypothesis that environmental and climatic variables shape spatiotemporal variation in the phenotypic structure of a polymorphic *** obtained information on 13617 specimens of this beetle from museums,private collections,and *** specimens(collected from 1830-2020)originated from 959 localities spanning 33°latitude,178°longitude,and 4200 m *** classified the beetles into five color morphs and searched for environmental factors that could explain the variation in the level of polymorphism(quantified by the shannon diversity index)and in the relative frequencies of individual color *** highest level of polymorphism was found at high latitudes and *** color morphs differed in their climatic requirements;composition of colour morphs was independent of the geographic distance that separated populations but changed with collection year,longitude,mean July temperature and betweenyear temperature *** proportion of melanic beetles,in line with the thermal melanism hypothesis,increased with increasing latitude and altitude and decreased with increasing climate *** morph frequencies also declined during the past century,but only at high latitudes and altitudes where recent climate warming was especially *** observed patterns suggest that color polymorphism is especially advantageous for populations inhabiting unpredictable environments,presumably due to the different climatic requirements of coexisting color morphs.

针对无人艇远程操控和自主导航问题,设计了基于sTM32的无人艇自主导航控制系统.船载系统以sTM32微控制器为核心控制单元,采用互补滤波算法完成了无人艇陀螺仪角速度数据、加速度数据和磁力计数据的解算,并通过串级PID算法对航向角进行闭环控制,最后通过LABVIEW软件平台设计开发出地面站控制系统,实现了对无人艇的远程操控和自主导航功能.

泉州提线木偶属于首批中国非物质文化遗产,是中华传统文化的实现形式之一.然而,由于木偶体积庞大,携带与操作不便,直接限制了其受众群体.为了实现提线木偶的有效传承与保护,设计了基于手势识别的虚拟现实提线木偶动画方案,构建了基于 MYO 臂环肌电信号的人体生理信号控制动画原型系统,应用两个用户实验验证了算法的高精确性与易操控性.首先,通过低通滤波与平滑实现多通道肌电信号数据的信号处理.其次,提取八通道时域特征与时频域特征,并通过线性判别器将其降维为六维特征向量,实现特征间关联性消除与算法鲁棒性增强.最后,构造多分类支撑向量机实现特征向量,确定手势识别结果.实验验证算法离线动作平均识别准确率为 95.59%,实时动作平均识别准确率达到 90.75%,在 1.1s 左右完成手势识别.面向提线木偶任务,构造了两个用户体验任务,普通用户人群中,木偶动作识别率较高,用户使用意愿、易学性等方面,系统性能亦显著高于真实木偶操控;专业用户在承认系统可用性的同时,具有较高的接受度.用户任务表明该设计满足了手势识别实时性和准确性的要求,具有良好的交互性和趣味性.相关研究可以广泛地应用于计算机动画等类似的系统,对于体验和保护提线木偶具有现实意义.

Diode-pumped alkali lasers,possessing high efficiency and narrow linewidth,can provide feasible solutions for wavelength ranges difficult to reach by commercial *** this study,we investigate a generation of coherent blue light(CBL)via four-wave mixing(FWM)-based up-conversion processes in cesium(Cs)vapor.A bichromatic pumping scheme with 852-and 917-nm lasers drives the Cs atoms to the 6D5/2 excited level,followed by cascaded decay of 6D5/2→7 P3/2→6 s1/2,producing 456-nm CBL under phase matching *** fluorescence in multiple bands from blue to near-and far-infrared in the FWM process is demonstrated under different experimental *** optimize the experimental parameters,we investigate the dependence of 456-nm CBL on the vapor temperature,frequency,and intensity of the two pump lasers.A maximum power of 2.94 mW is achieved with pump powers of 430 mW(for 852 nm)and 470 mW(for 917 nm).The corresponding conversion efficiency is 1.5%/W,three-fold higher than those in previous *** results can contribute to fundamental research on atom–photon interactions and quantum metrology.

Korean employers notoriously practice seniority-based personnel management, rather than one prioritizing workers’ skills or performance, and this has changed only slowly amid the evolving business landscape and advancing labor standards. This study contributes to understanding this phenomenon by assessing Korean firms’ promotion criteria and practices over the past decade across distinct phases of industry business cycles, and between the economy’s primary and secondary sectors. Primary-sector firms are shown to be less likely than secondary-sector firms to base their promotion decisions on the analysis of workers’ achievements and colleague ratings, but rather on their performance of core job duties. Primary-sector firms have more advancement steps within their management ranks, and longer wait time until promotion at all ranks. secondary-sector firms are flatter hierarchically, featuring shorter time to promotion at all ranks and fewer advancement steps, but also a lower fraction of promotions based on special merit. Firms’ promotion practices change over the business cycle. During expansionary years, the hierarchical dispersion of workers within organizations widens, particularly among primary-sector firms, with more workers remaining as regular staff but more managers promoted to senior management. As firms recruit more regular staff, years to promotion to managerial positions, and the count of advancement steps increase. Business expansion induces firms to streamline promotions to management based on colleague ratings subject to lesser review of workers’ own achievements. Over the past decade, promotions by special merit have receded while those by colleague ratings have gone up. Firms are thus apparently not transitioning toward merit- and achievement-based promotions, and continue relying on subjective colleague ratings and job-content analysis in their stagnant hierarchical structures. During the last decade of the 20th century, there were nine humanitarian interventions: in Northern Iraq, Bosnia, somalia, Rwanda, Haiti, Albania, Kosovo, East Timor, and sierra Leone. Of the cases cited, the consent of the home government was obtained in five cases and two others had explicit security Council authorization. However, two cases were carried out without consent of the government or authorization by the UN security Council: Northern Iraq and Kosovo1. NATO bombing of FR Yugoslavia in 1999 received a particular attention and condemnation. Without UN security Council’s resolution for that “air campaign”, there was justification that the action was about prevention of humanitarian catastrophe. This paper will attempt at identifying legal position of humanitarian intervention in international law;whether or not, and in what circumstances, it is safe to claim that there exists the right to humanitarian intervention. At the beginning of the 21st century, there has been extensive consideration of the “responsibility to protect” as a composite concept comprising the responsibilities to prevent humanitarian catastrophe, to react immediately when they do occur and to rebuild afterwards.2 such an approach may be seen as an effort to redefine the principle of humanitarian intervention in a way that seeks to minimize the motives of the intervening powers. The paper also deals with the relation and differences between humanitarian intervention and “responsibility to protect” concept.

To the foundation of a principally new short-term forecasting method there has been laid down a theory of surrounding us world’s creation and of physical vacuum as a result of interaction of byuons-discrete objects. The definition of the byuon contains the cosmological vector-potential Ag- a novel fundamental vector constant. This theory predicts a new anisotropic interaction of nature objects with the physical vacuum. A pe- culiar “tap” to gain new energy (giving rise to an earthquake) are elementary particles because their masses are proportional to the modulus of some summary potential A∑ that contains po- tentials of all known fields. The value of A∑ cannot be larger than the modulus of Ag. In ac- cordance with the experimental results a new force associated with A ejects substance from the area of the weakened A along a conical formation with the opening of 100° ± 10° and the axis directed along the vector A∑ . This vector has the following coordinates in the second equatorial coordinate system: right ascension α≈ 293°± 10°, declination δ≈36° ± 10°. The 100% probability of an earthquake (earthquakes of 6 points strong and more by the Richter scale) arises when in the process of the earth rotation the zenith vector of a seismically dangerous region and/or the vectorial potential of Earth’s magnetic fields are in a certain way oriented relative to the vector Ag. In the work, basic models and standard mechanisms of earth- quakes are briefly considered, results of proc- essing of information on the earthquakes in the context of global spatial anisotropy caused by the existence of the vector Ag, are presented, and an analysis of them is given.

X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANEs)spectra are the fingerprint of the local atomic and electronic structures around the absorbing ***,the quantitative analysis of these spectra is not *** with the most recent advances in this area,for a given spectrum,it is not clear a priori which structural parameters can be refined and how uncertainties should be ***,we present an alternative concept for the analysis of XANEs spectra,which is based on machine learning algorithms and establishes the relationship between intuitive descriptors of spectra,such as edge position,intensities,positions,and curvatures of minima and maxima on the one hand,and those related to the local atomic and electronic structure which are the coordination numbers,bond distances and angles and oxidation state on the other *** approach overcoms the problem of the systematic difference between theoretical and experimental ***,the numerical relations can be expressed in analytical formulas providing a simple and fast tool to extract structural parameters based on the spectral *** methodology was successfully applied to experimental data for the multicomponent Fe:siO_(2)system and reference iron compounds,demonstrating the high prediction quality for both the theoretical validation sets and experimental data.

Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coatings have attracted significant attention due to their low friction coefficient, high degree of hardness, chemical inertness, and high wear resistance as well as and their many possible uses in metallurgical, aeronautical, and biomedical applications. However, DLC has low adhesion strength to metallic substrates. Carbonitriding was performed before DLC deposition to improve this adherence. Different concentration of nitrogen in the gas mixture was used during the carbonitriding of Ti6Al4V alloy. DLC films were subsequently grown from methane using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition. The samples were characterized with Raman scattering spectroscopy, nanoindentation, and tribological tests. Films from 80.0% N2 had the best friction coefficient (0.07) and a critical load of ~22 N. In the scratching test, these films had adhesive failure and they completely detached from the substrate only in the end of the tests. sEM images show carbonitring promoted a significant increase in the surface defects (homogeneously distributed) but without the presence of microcracks. EDX analysis indicated that nitrogen element was diffused throughout the thickness of the samples. Hydrogen and carbon atoms from carbonitriding formed a diffusion-barrier layer that can be used as the first step for DLC deposition. This carbonitriding can also provide a carbide layer, which serves as the precursor for the nucleation and growth of DLC films.
