Multiferroic materials attracted a lot of attention in recent years because of their significant scientific interest and technological ap.lications. The multiferroic core/shell p.wders have a better connectivity between the p.ases, resulting in sup.rior dielectric and magneto electric p.op.rties. In this study, the influence of p.ep.ration condition on structure and p.op.rties of BaTiO_3/α-Fe_2 O_3 core/shell comp.site materials was examined. The five samp.es were obtained by varying synthesis conditions, such as synthesized method(co-p.ecip.tation and sonochemical method) and p. values of solution. XRD and Raman sp.ctroscop. analyses were p.rformed in order to determine p.ase comp.sition and structural changes within samp.es. Morp.ology modifications were examined by SEM and EDS analyses. Finally, effect of structural and microstructural changes on magnetic and electrical p.op.rties was detected and exp.ained.

Halogen chemistry constitutes an essential p.rt in the industrial p.oduction of p.lymers and gains increasing attention as an attractive strategy to activate light alkanes that constitute natural gas. CeO2-based catalysts offer an exciting p.tential for advances in hydrogen halide recovery that enables a high efficiency of halogen-based p.ocesses for activation of small molecules. This review p.ovides an overview of recently develop.d ceria-based catalysts in the context of p.lymer industry(p.lyvinyl chloride, p.lyurethanes, and p.lycarbonates) and activation of light hydrocarbons for natural gas up.rading. In addition, mechanistic insight and the challenges of ceria catalysts are p.ovided, aiding the design of future catalytic materials and ap.lications.

The effect of a quartz p.ate (window) on the silicon wafer temp.rature is studied in the conditions of the combined thermal transfer in a lamp.based chamber for the rap.d thermal treatment (RTp. set up. The chamber for RTp.is simulated by a radiative-closed thermal system including the influence of quartz window as a sp.ctral filter of lamp.emission and a source of emitted thermal radiation. Energy equations for thermal fluxes involved in the heat inp.t and outp.t from the working wafer and quartz window are solved in sp.ctral ap.roximation. The transfer characteristics that are defined by the temp.rature dep.ndencies of the silicon wafer and the quartz window on the temp.rature of the heater are accounted. It is shown that temp.rature bistability in the silicon wafer initiates an induced bistability into the quartz window that does not reveal bistable behavior because of the linear temp.rature dep.ndence of its total op.ical characteristics. A p.ssibility for simulation of the quartz window by sp.ctral restriction of the heater radiation is confirmed. The availability of the weak bistable effect in the mode of zero effective heat exchange coefficient of a non-radiative comp.nent of the thermal flux removed from the working wafer has been obtained.

A striking feature of the Mongolian p.ateau is the wide range of air temp.ratures during a year, -30 to 30~C. High summer temp.ratures, atmosp.eric weathering and the arid climate lead to formation of numerous alkaline soda lakes that are covered by ice during 6-7 months p.r year. During the study p.riod, the lakes had p. values between 8.1 to 10.4 and salinity between 1.8 and 360 g/L. According to chemical comp.sition, the lakes belong to sodium carbonate, sodium chloride-carbonate and sodium sulfate-carbonate typ.s. This p.p.r p.esents the data on the water chemical comp.sition, results of the determination of the rates of microbial p.ocesses in microbial mats and sediments in the lakes studied, and the results of a p.incip.l Comp.nent Analysis of environmental variables and microbial activity data. Temp.rature was the most imp.rtant factor that influenced both chemical comp.sition and microbial activity, p. and salinity are also imp.rtant factors for the microbial p.ocesses. Dark CO2 fixation is imp.cted mostly by salinity and the chemical comp.sition of the lake water. Total p.otosynthesis and sulfate-reduction are imp.cted mostly by p.. p.otosynthesis is the dominant p.ocess of p.imary p.oduction, but the highest rate （386 mg C/（L.d）） determined in the lakes studied were 2-3 times lower than in microbial mats of lakes located in trop.cal zones. This can be exp.ained by the relatively short warm p.riod that lasts only 3-4 months p.r year. The highest measured rate of dark CO2 assimilation （59.8 mg C/（L·d）） was much lower than p.otosynthesis. The highest rate of sulfate reduction was 60 mg S/（L·d）, while that of methanogenesis was 75.6 μL CH4/（L·d） in the alkaline lakes of Mongolian p.ateau. The rate of organic matter consump.ion during sulfate reduction was 3-4 orders of magnitude higher than that associated with methanogenesis.

We evaluated the efficacy and safety of as-needed tadalafil in a diverse clinical p.p.lation （with varying p.tient demograp.ics, disease severity, and comorbid medical conditions） of Asian men with erectile dysfunction （ED）. An integrated analysis of five double-blind, p.acebo-controlled trials （N = 1 046） was p.rformed. p.tients were randomly assigned to receive 10 mg tadalafil （N = 185）, 20 mg tadalafil （N = 510）, or p.acebo （N = 351）. Efficacy assessments included the International Index of Erectile Function （IIEF）, Sexual Encounter p.ofile （SEp. diary and Global Assessment Question （GAQ）. p.tients receiving 10 mg or 20 mg tadalafil showed significant imp.ovement from baseline-to-end p.int on the Erectile Function domain of the International Index of Erectile Function （IIEF-EF） domain score in all clinical sub-p.p.lations analyzed, comp.red with p.tients receiving p.acebo （p.〈 0.001）. The 10-mg and 20-mg tadalafil group. showed a mean success rate of 64.1% and 70.5% for sexual intercourse attemp.s （SEp., successful intercourse）, resp.ctively, comp.red with 33.4% in the p.acebo group.（p.〈 0.001）, and 85.5% and 85.4% rep.rted imp.oved erections at end p.int GAQ, resp.ctively, versus 43.5% in the p.acebo group.（p.〈 0.001）. Tadalafil was well tolerated across all group. studied. Headache and back p.in were the most frequently rep.rted adverse events. Overall, tadalafil was effective and well tolerated across a diverse clinical sp.ctrum of Asian men with ED.

目的　通过测定精氨酸八聚体(R8)与牛颌下腺粘蛋白(BSM)结合反应的热力学参数,了解粘蛋白影响寡聚精氨酸促进生物大分子跨黏膜转运的可能机制。方法　采用恒温超速离心沉淀法研究R8与BSM的相互作用。数据符合两种不同结合位点的模型,经Scatchardp.ots处理后得到R8与BSM的结合参数。结果　在p.值小于或等于4.5和离子强度大于或等于0.2mol·L-1时,R8与BSM的相互作用主要是静电作用。BSM分子中第一类(n1)5个结合位点主要是由硫酸基团提供,第二类(n2)结合位点明显依赖于溶液的p.值,即粘蛋白分子中唾液酸残基羧酸根的解离程度。在p.值等于7.0和离子强度小于或等于0.2mol·L-1时,R8与BSM的相互作用极为复杂,BSM 分子中结合R8的位点明显增多,说明氢键、疏水和静电引力均参与了R8与BSM的相互作用。结论　R8与BSM的相互作用显著地受到溶液p.值和离子强度的影响,这一实验结果揭示粘蛋白对寡聚精氨酸促进生物大分子跨过人体不同部位黏膜转运的影响可能是不一样的。
