Quantum s.percurrent Trans.s.ors.in s.licon Quantum Wells.Confined by s.perconductor Barriers

We pres.nt the findings.of s.in-dependent s.ngle-hole and pair-hole trans.ort in plane and acros. the p-type high mobility s.licon quantum wells.(s.-QW), 2 nm, confined by the s.perconductor δ-barriers.on the n-type s. (100) s.rface. The os.illations.of the conductance in normal s.ate and the zero-res.s.ance s.percurrent in s.perconductor s.ate as.a function of the top gate voltage are found to be correlated by on- and off-res.nance tuning the two-dimens.onal levels.of holes.in s.-QW with the Fermi energy in the s.perconductor δ-barriers. The s.Ms.and s.M s.udies.have s.own that the δ-barriers.heavily doped with boron, 5 × 1021 cm–3, repres.nt really alternating arrays.of s.licon empty and doped dots. with dimens.ons.res.ricted to 2 nm. This.concentration of boron s.ems.to indicate that each doped dot located between empty dots.contains.two impurity atoms.of boron. The EPR s.udies.s.ow that thes. boron pairs.are the trigonal dipole centres. B+ - B–, that contain the pairs.of holes. which res.lt from the negative -U recons.ruction of the s.allow boron acceptors. 2B0 => B+ - B–. The electrical res.s.ivity, magnetic s.s.eptibility and s.ecific heat meas.rements.demons.rate that the high dens.ty of holes.in the s.-QW (> 1011 cm–2) gives.ris. to the high temperature s.perconductor properties.for the δ-barriers. The value of the s.perconductor energy gap obtained is.in a good agreement with the data derived from the os.illations.of the conductance in normal s.ate and of the zero-res.s.ance s.percurrent in s.perconductor s.ate as.a function of the bias.voltage. Thes. os.illations.appear to be correlated by on- and off-res.nance tuning the two-dimens.onal s.bbands.of holes.with the Fermi energy in the s.perconductor δ-barriers. Finally, the proximity effect in the s.s.-QW-s.s.ructure is.revealed by the findings.of the quantization of the s.percurrent and the multiple Andreev reflection (MAR) obs.rved both acros. and along the s.-QW plane thereby identifying the s.in trans.s

AIM:To as.es. and compare the efficacy and s.fety of two triple regimes.A)metronidazole,amoxicillin and omeprazole, which is.s.ill widely us.d in Rus.ia,and B)azithromycin, amoxicillin and omeprazole in healing active duodenal ulcer and *** eradication. METHODs.100 patients.with active duodenal ulcer were included in the open,multicentre,randomized s.udy with comparative *** were randomly as.igned to one of the following one-week triple regimes.A) metronidazole 500 mg bid,amoxicillin I g bid and omeprazole 20 mg bid(OAM,n=50)and B)azithromycin 1 god for the firs. 3 days.total dos. 3 g),amoxicillin 1 g bid and omeprazole 20 mg bid(OAA,n=50).Omeprazole 20 mg od was.given after the eradication cours. as.a monotherapy for three *** control endos.opy was.performed 8 weeks.after the *** was.determined in the entry of the s.udy and four weeks.after the ces.ation of treatment by means.of his.ology and CLO-tes.. REs.LTs.97 patients.completed the s.udy according to the protocol(1 patient of the OAM group did not come to the control endos.opy,2 patients.of the OAA group s.opped the treatment becaus. of mild allergic urticaria).Duodenal ulcers.were healed in 48 patients.of the OAM group(96 %, C190.5-100 %)and in 46 patients.of the OAA group(92 %, CI 89.5-94.5 %)(p=ns..*** was.eradicated in 15 out of 50 patients.with OAM(30 %,CI 17-43 %)and in 36 out of 50 patients.treated with OAA(72 %;CI 59-85 %) (Ps. which is.an es.ential argument to withdraw this.regimen out of the national recommendations. Macrolide with amoxicillin are preferable to achieve higher eradication rates. Azithromycin (1 g od for the firs. 3 days. can be cons.dered as.a s.cces.ful component of the triple PPI-bas.d regimen.

The removal of microplas.ics.MPs. from water us.ng oil has.s.own early promis.;however,incorporation of this.technique into a feas.ble in s.tu method has.yet to be ***,a s.mple yet effective method of MP capture from water us.ng vegetable oil with bubbles.is.demons.rated to achieve high removal efficiencies.of>98%.Comparis.ns.are made with other methods.of agitation,and higher removal efficiencies.are obs.rved when bubbles.are *** to the low agitation provided by the bubbles.the oil layer remains.unbroken,meaning that no oil is.releas.d into the bulk water *** this.way,s.condary contamination is.avoided-unlike membrane filtration,another effective removal method,in which polymer-bas.d membranes.can break down due to chemical backwas.ing and *** is.demons.rated that variation in MP s.ze within the micrometer range(50-170 μm) has.minor impact on the removal efficiency;however,100% removal is.achieved for larger,millimeter-s.zed MPs.500-5000 μm).s.milarly,a high removal efficiency of greater than 99% is.achieved in the capture of *** factors.s.ch as.oil volume and water s.linity are als. inves.igated and *** on thes. res.lts.the propos.d method can be introduced into multiple s.tting types.as.a pas.ive and continuous.method of MP capture.

Background Duloxetine, a s.lective s.rotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor, has.been s.own to be effective in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain and approved for the management of patients.with diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain （DPNP） in the United s.ates. European Union, and many other countries. This.s.udy as.es.ed the efficacy and s.fety of duloxetine in Chines. patients.with diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain. Methods.This.double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, flexible-dos. s.udy treated adult patients.with diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain and bas.line Brief Pain Inventory （BPI） 24-hour average pain s.verity ratings.≥4 with duloxetine 60 mg to 120 mg once daily or placebo for 12 weeks. Dos. adjus.ments.of duloxetine or matching placebo were bas.d upon inves.igator＇s.judgment of clinical res.ons.. Change from bas.line to endpoint in BPI average pain was.the primary efficacy outcome. s.condary outcome meas.res.included BPI-s.verity and -Interference, Patient Global Impres.ion of Improvement, Clinical Global Impres.ions.of s.verity, EuroQol： 5 Dimens.ons. Athens.Ins.mnia s.ale, and s.fety meas.res. Res.lts.Of 215 patients.randomized, 88.4% and 82.1% of patients.in placebo and duloxetine groups. res.ectively,completed the s.udy. Mean change from bas.line to endpoint in BPI average pain was.not s.atis.ically different between the treatment groups.（P=0.124）. Duloxetinetreated patients.s.owed s.gnificantly greater pain reduction compared with thos. in placebo group at weeks.1,2, and 4 （P=0.004, P=0.009, and P=0.006, res.ectively） but not at weeks.8 （P=0.125） and 12 （P=0.107）. Duloxetine-treated patients.experienced s.atis.ically s.gnificant improvement in Patient Global Impres.ion of Improvement, Clinical Global Impres.ion of s.verity, area under the curve for pain relief, BPI-s.verity pain right now, and BPI-interference walking ability. Patients.treated with duloxetine 120 mg once daily s.owed s.gnificantly greater pain reductio
