This study presents the results of the 3D microstructure,thermal conductivity,and heat flow in cement-based foams and examines their changes with a range of *** were captured using X-ray micro computed tomography(micro-CT)imaging technique on cement-based foam samples prepared with densities of 400,600,and 800 kg/m^(3).These images were later simulated and quantified using 3D data visualization and analysis *** on the analysis,the pore volume of 11000µm^(3)was determined across the three densities,leading to optimal ***,distinct pore diameters of 15µm for 800 kg/m^(3),and 20µm for 600 and 400 kg/m^(3)were found to be *** of the pores were spherical,with only 10%appearing elongated or *** addition,a difference of 15%was observed between the 2D and 3D porosity ***,a difference of 5%was noticed between the experimentally measured thermal conductivity and the numerically predicted value and this variation was constant across the three cast *** 3D model showed that heat flows through the cement paste solids and with an increase in porosity this flow reduces.

Objective:To investigate the antioxidant enicacy of a biologically active dilerpenoid compound sugiol isolated from Metasequoia glyptostroboides(***)in various antioxidant ***:An abietane type diterpenoid sugiol,isolated from ethyl acetate extract of *** cones,was analyzed for its antioxidant efficacy as reducing power ability and lipid peroxidation inhibition as well as its ability to scavenge free radicals such as 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl,nitric oxide,superoxide and hydroxyl ***:The sugiol showed significant and concentration-dependent antioxidant and free radical scavenging ***,the sugiol exerted lipid peroxidation inhibitory effect by 76.3%as compared to a-tocopherol(80.13%)and butylaled hydroxyanisole(76.59%).In addition,the sugiol had significant scavenging activities of l,l-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl,nitric oxide,superoxide and hydroxyl free radicals in a concentration-dependent manner by 78.83%,72.42%,72.99%and 85.04%,when compared to the standard compound ascorbic acid(81.69%,74.62%,73.00%and 73.79%)and a-tocopherol/butylated hydroxyanisole(84.09%,78.61%,74.45%and 70.02%),***:These findings justify the biological and traditional uses of *** or its secondary metabolites as confirmed by its promising antioxidant efficacy.

To find the quantitative trait loci associated with wood density in teak(Tectona grandis L.f.), 21 co-dominant markers including 13 site specific recombinase and 8 EST-based co-dominant markers designed from lignin biosynthesis genes were applied to 174 teak plus tree clones at the National Germplasm Bank, Chandrapur,India. The germplasm bank exhibited 10.6% coefficient of variation for wood densities with 84.5 ± 31.3 genetic polymorphism(%). The highly panmictic set of genotypes(FST= 0.035 ± 0.004) harbored 96.47 ± 0.40 genetic variability(%). The average allelic frequency of the 21 codominant markers was 0.65 ± 0.11 with 12.9% pairs of loci in significant LD(p\0.05, R^2 values [ 0.1), confirming their suitability for a strong marker-trait association study. The marker CCoAMT-1 was significantly(p\0.01) associated with wood density showing stability by both GLM and MLM models and explained 4.3% of the phenotypic effect. The marker from the EST representing CCoAMT can be further developed for gene-assisted selection of elite genotypes of teak with greater wood density. Therefore, we believe that the report will help accelerate the genetic improvement and advance the breeding program of the species.

Aim lianas are abundant and diverse throughout the world and consti-tute an important structural and functional component of tropical *** study aims to investigate liana diversity,abundance and their functional traits in Indian tropical dry evergreen forest(TDEF).Methods a total of ten 1-ha plots,one each in 10 Indian TDEF sites were *** 1-ha plot was divided into one-hundred 10-×10-m quadrats to facilitate woody species *** lianas≥1 cm diameter measured at 130 cm from the rooting point and all trees≥10-cm girth at breast height(gbh)were recorded from the study sites to analyze the patterns of liana diversity and abundance and also to compare the contribution of lianas to the total woody species richness,density and basal *** variables across the study sites were compared using one-way analysis of *** qualitative functional traits of inventoried lianas and trees were assessed on the field and referring to pertinent field *** Findingsa total of 9237 liana individuals(ranged from 408-1658 individu-als ha^(−1))representing 52 species,45 genera and 28 families were encountered from the 10 study *** species richness ranged from 11-31 species ha^(−1) in 10 sites,which averaged 23.4(±5.7)species ha^(−1).The total basal area of lianas in the study sites was 7.3 m^(2)(0.20-1.76 m^(2) ha^(−1)).There was a significant variation in liana species richness,density and basal area across the studied *** the whole,lianas contributed 52%,49.3%and 4.1%to the total woody species(lianas and trees)richness,density and basal area,*** trait analysis revealed the majority(50%)of lianas belonged to brevi-deciduous *** twining was the chief climbing mechanism,exhibited by 21 species(52.6%of total abundance).more than half of the liana species(34 species;6925 individuals)had microphyllous ***-fruited lianas mostly bearing berries and drupes constituted the major fruit type in the studied si
