Microencapsulation is a technique which improves the survival and viability of probiotics. We demonstrate encapsulation of five potential probiotic yeasts with alginate and gum as encapsulation matrices to improve their gastrointestinal transit. Gum extracted from various cereals viz. rice, oats, barley, finger millet and pearl millet along with alginate have been used to encapsulate five potential probiotic yeasts. Screening was carried out by measuring swelling index, encapsulation efficiency and nutritional value of microcapsules encapsulated with alginate and gum. The concentration of OBG, sodium alginate and inoculum dosage of probiotic yeasts was optimized using response surface methodology (RSM). Efficiency of alginate OBG microcapsules with or without coating materials viz. whey protein and chitosan also tested. The mucoadhesion ability and storage stability of alginate OBG microcapsules with coating materials were tested. Highest encapsulation efficiency of probiotic yeasts was noted using oats bran gum (OBG) microcapsules along with alginate in all the five probiotic yeasts. Notably whey protein coated microcapsules showed maximum GIT tolerance (95%) and mucoadhesion (90%) for L. starkeyi VIT-MN03. The minimum loss of viability was observed in L. starkeyi VITMN03 microcapsules on 60th day of storage. This is the first report on optimization and survival of microencapsulated probiotic yeasts under simulated GIT conditions using natural gum and alginate as encapsulation matrices and whey protein as coating material.

The pattern formation in reaction-diffusion system has long been the subject of interest to the researchers in the domain of mathematical ecology because of its universal exis- tence and importance. The present investigation deals with a spatial dynamics of the Beddington-DeAngelis predator-prey model in the presence of a constant proportion of prey refuge. The model system representing boundary value problem under study is subjected to homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. The asymptotic stability including the local and the global stability and the bifurcation as well of the unique pos- itive homogeneous steady state of the corresponding temporal model has been analyzed. The Turing instability region in two-parameter space and the condition of diffusion- driven instability of the spatiotemporal model are investigated. Based on the appro- priate numerical simulations, the present model dynamics in Turing space appears to get influenced by prey refuge while it exhibits diffusion-controlled pattern formation growth to spots, stripe-spot mixtures, labyrinthine, stripe-hole mixtures and holes repli- cation. The results obtained appear to enrich the findings of the model system under consideration.

The aim of present study is to analyze the influence of volume percentage(vol.%) of nano-sized particles(TiB_2: average size is 35 nm) on microstructure, mechanical and tribological behavior of 6061-T6 Al alloy surface nano composite prepared via Friction stir process(FSP). The microstructure of the fabricated surface nanocomposites is examined using optical microscopy(OM) and scanning electron microscope(SEM) for distribution of TiB_2 nano reinforcement particles, thickness of nano composite layer formed on the Aluminum alloy substrate and fracture features. The depth of surface nano composite layer is measured as 3683.82 m m along the cross section of stir zone of nano composite perpendicular to FSP. It was observed that increase in volume percentage of TiB_2 particles, the microhardness is increased up to132 Hv and it is greater than as-received Al alloy's microhardness(104 Hv). It is also observed that at 4volume percentage higher tensile properties exhibited as compared with the 2 and 8 vol. %. It is found that high wear resistance exhibited at 4 volume percentage as-compared with the 2 and 8 vol. %. The observed wear and mechanical properties are interrelated with microstructure, fractography and worn morphology.

In rape and murder cases,forensic science precisely establishes the link between the accused and either the victim or the crime scene,or both,which aids police investigation and the trial process by providing scientific evidence to corroborate or contradict the accused’s *** study focuses on the importance of forensic evidence in deciding rape cases in *** study aimed to analyze the correlation between forensic evidence and judicial outcomes in determining the conviction *** is a retrospective analytical study of rape and murder cases of the Supreme Court of India(SCI)Judgments from 1992 to 2021 using the library and digital library *** data obtained were subjected to Pearson’s correlation test to assess the relationship between forensic evidence and judicial *** results were considered statistically significant at P<*** 20(5.22%)sensational,heinous rape and murder cases,13(65%)cases had proper handling of the forensic samples,while 7(35%)cases had improper handling of the forensic samples or inconsistent forensic reports were *** on the forensic reports and other factors,the SCI affirmed the sentence in 11(55%)cases,commuted imprisonment in 7(35%)cases,and acquitted 2(15%)***,the statistical analysis shows that forensic evidence and judicial outcomes have a moderately positive correlation with each other(0.2
