Invoice document digitization is crucial for efficient management in *** scanned invoice image is often noisy due to various *** affects the OCR(optical character recognition)detection *** this paper,letter data obtained from images of invoices are denoised using a modified autoencoder based deep learning method.A stacked denoising autoencoder(SDAE)is implemented with two hidden layers each in encoder network and decoder *** order to capture the most salient features of training samples,a undercomplete autoencoder is designed with non-linear encoder and decoder *** autoencoder is regularized for denoising application using a combined loss function which considers both mean square error and binary cross entropy.A dataset consisting of 59,119 letter images,which contains both English alphabets(upper and lower case)and numbers(0 to 9)is prepared from many scanned invoices images and windows true type(.ttf)files,are used for training the neural *** is analyzed in terms of Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR),Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR),Structural Similarity Index(SSIM)and Universal Image Quality Index(UQI)and compared with other filtering techniques like Nonlocal Means filter,Anisotropic diffusion filter,Gaussian filters and Mean *** performance of proposed SDAE is compared with existing SDAE with single loss function in terms of SNR and PSNR *** show the superior performance of proposed SDAE method.

The formation of long-range ordered aperiodic molecular films on quasicrystalline substrates is a new challenge that provides an opportunity for further surface functionalization. This aim can be realized through the smart selection of molecular building blocks, based on symmetry-matching between the underlying quasicrystal and individual molecules. It was previously found that the geometric registry between the C60 molecules and the 5- and 10-fold surfaces was key to the growth of quasiperiodic organic layers. However, an attempt to form a quasiperiodic C60 network on i-Ag-In-Yb substrates was unsuccessful, resulting in disordered molecular films. Here we report the growth of 5-fold symmetric corannulene C20H10 molecules on the 5-fold surfaces of i-Ag-In-Yb quasicrystals. Low-energy electron diffraction （LEED） and scanning tunneling microscopy （STM） revealed long-range quasiperiodic order and 5-fold rotational symmetry in self-assembled corannulene films. Recurrent decagonal molecular rings were seen, resulting from the decoration of specific adsorption sites with local pentagonal symmetry by corannulenes, adsorbed with their bowl-openings pointing away from the surface. They were identified as （Ag, In）-containing rhombic triacontahedral （RTH） duster centers and pentagonal Yb motifs, which cannot be occupied simultaneously due to steric hindrance. It is proposed that symmetry-matching between the molecule and specific substrate sites drives this organization. Alteration of the molecular rim by the introduction of CH substituents appeared to increase molecule mobility on the potential energy surface and facilitate trapping at these specific sites. This finding suggests that rational selection of molecular moiety enables the templated self-assembly of molecules leading to an ordered aperiodic corannulene layer.

The magnetic strength and versatility of heterostructures generated via a simple microemulsion cluster-formation technique is demonstrated. This approach allows optimization of individual component magnetic nanoparticles prior to heterostructuring, expediting the discovery and optimization of hybrid magnetic materials. The efficacy of this method is validated through a magnetic study of nanoparticle clusters combining antiferromagnetic CoO and superparamagnetic CoFe204 nanoparticles with tunable particle ratio and size. An enhancement of coercivity compared with pure CoFe204 nanoparticles indicates that close interparticle contacts are achieved. Upon annealing, an exchange bias field of 0.32 T was observed--over twice that achieved in any other colloidally-synthesized system. Additionally, the unique microstructure is defined during cluster formation and thus protects magnetic coercivity during the annealing process. Overall, this work demonstrates a general approach for quickly exploring magnetic parameter space, designing interparticle functionality, and working towards the construction of high-value bulk magnets with low materials and processing cost.

P systems generating rectangular arrays and hexagonal arrays have been studied in the literature, bringing together the two areas of theoretical computer science, namely membrane computing and picture languages. Recently, a new class of picture languages called the class of iso-picture languages generating interesting picture languages has been introduced. In this paper, we develop a class of tissue-like P systems with active membranes as a generative device for iso-picture languages.

We present a bio-inspired strategy for designing embedded strain sensors in space structures. In insects, the campaniform sensillum is a hole extending through the cuticle arranged such that its shape changes in response to loads. The shape change is rotated through 90° by the suspension of a bell-shaped cap whose deflection is detected by a cell beneath the cuticle. It can be sensitive to displacements of the order of 1 nm. The essential morphology, a hole formed in a plate of fibrous composite mate- rial, was modelled by Skordos et al. who showed that global deformation of the plate （which can be flat, curved or a tube） induces higher local deformation of the hole due to its locally higher compliance. Further developments reported here show that this approach can be applied to groups of holes relative to their orientation. , The morphology of the sensillum in insects suggests that greater sensitivity can be achieved by arranging several holes in a regular pattern; that if the hole is oval it can be ＂aimed＂ to sense specific strain directions; and that either by controlling the shape of the hole or its relationship with other holes it can have a tuned response to dynamic strains. We investigate space applications in which novel bio-inspired strain sensors could successfully be used.

Trajectory P system

Progress in Natural Science:Materials International 2008年第5期18卷 611-616页

Membrane computing is a branch of natural computing aiming to abstract computing ideas for the structure and the functioning of living cells as well as from the way the cells are organized in tissues or higher-order structures. Trajectories are used as a tool for modeling language operations and other related objects. A trajectory P system consists of a membrane structure in which the object in each mem- brane is a collection of words and the evolutionary rules are given in terms of trajectories. In this paper, we present some properties of trajectory P systems.
