Wi.h the ever-i.creasi.g volume of appli.ati.ns of vari.us ki.ds of electri. dri.es i. all spheres of human acti.i.y, the i.sues i. i.provi.g the effi.i.ncy of the electromechani.al converters of electri. energy, one of the most i.portant components of the electri. dri.e (ED), are becomi.g i.creasi.gly i.portant. Such i.sues i.clude reduci.g thei. wei.ht and si.e, i.provi.g the functi.nal characteri.ti.s of these devi.es to i.crease thei. operati.nal li.e and reduci.g the cost of manufacture. Taki.g full advantage of these opportuni.i.s relates to the AC and DC si.gle-phase commutator motor (SCM), whi.h i. wi.ely used i. regulated and hi.h-speed motor dri.es i. home appli.nces and electri. hand tools. The SCM i. used i. machi.ery where the load torque has a hyperboli. dependence on the rotati.nal speed and the need to work wi.h a large motor overload due to the “soft” mechani.al characteri.ti.s of such motors.
