Lanthanide coordination compounds of the formula Na[Ln(L)4](1 Ln),where Ln=La^3+,Eu^3+,Gd^3+,Tb^3+,L=[L]-and HL=dimethyl(4-methylphenylsulfo nyl)amidophosphate,were *** structural and spectro scopic properties were discussed in detail based on X-ray diffraction measurements,IR spectroscopy,absorption and emission spectroscopy at 293 and 77 K and theoretical calculations of the intramolecular energy transfer(IET)*** calculations were used to investigate the 1 Ln electronic properties re quired to calculate the transition rates.30 and 22 pathways of intramolecular nonradiative energy transfer were examined in the case of 1 Eu and 1 Tb,*** is shown that the main pathway for sensitization of the lanthanide emission is either the triplet(1 Eu)or singlet(1 Tb)transfer,occurring mainly through the exchange *** energy rates for energy transfer from S1 and T1 equal WS=1.53×10^5 s^-1(1 Eu),WT=5.14×10^6 s^-1(1 Eu)and WS=4.09×10^7 s^-1(1 Tb),WT=6.88×10^5 s^-1(1 Tb).The crucial role of the 7 F5 level in the energy transfer process of 1 Tb and the participation of the LMCT state in the depopulation of the ligand singlet state of 1 Eu were *** influence of the resonance effect on the splitting of the7 F1 level in 1 Eu was *** comparing the properties of 1 Ln with the properties of 2 Ln coordination compounds,sharing the same ligand and crystallizing in the same crystallographic system(monoclinic),but with a different space group,it is demonstrated how slight structural changes can affect the photophysical properties of Ln compounds.

Effect of clonidine on the cutaneous silent period during spinal anesthesia

AIM To investigate the effect of clonidine on the cutaneous silent period(CSP) during spinal anesthesia. METHODS A total of 67 adult patients were included in this randomized, prospective, single-center, double-blind trial. They did not have neurological disorders and were scheduled for inguinal hernia repair surgery. This trial was registered on ***(NTC03121261). The patients were randomized into two groups with regards to the intrathecally administered solution:(1) 15 mg of 0.5% levobupivacaine with 50 μg of 0.015% clonidine, or(2) 15 mg of 0.5% levobupivacaine alone. There were 34 patients in the levobupivacaine-clonidine(LC) group and 33 patients in the levobupivacaine(L) group. CSP and its latency were measured four times: prior to the subarachnoid block(SAB), after motor block regression to the 0 level of the Bromage scale, with ongoing sensory blockade, and both 6 and 24 h after *** Only data from 30 patients in each group were analyzed. There were no significant differences between the groups investigated preoperatively and after 24 h. The CSP of the L group at the time point when the Bromage scale was 0 was 44.8 ± 8.1 ms, while in the LC group it measured 40.2 ± 3.8 ms(P = 0.007). The latency in the L group at the time point when the Bromage scale was 0 was 130.3 ± 10.2 ms, and in the LC group it was 144.7 ± 8.3 ms(P < 0.001). The CSP of the L group after 6 h was 59.6 ± 9.8 ms, while in the LC group it was 44.5 ± 5.0 ms(P < 0.001). The latency in the L group after 6 h was 110.4 ± 10.6 ms, while in LC group it was 132.3 ± 9.7 ms(P < 0.001).CONCLUSION Intrathecal addition of clonidine to levobupivacaine for SAB in comparison with levobupivacaine alone resultsin a diminished inhibitory tonus and shortened CSP.

Beam dynamics studies on the 100 MeV/100 kW electron linear accelerator for NSC KIPT neutron source

We designed a 100 MeV/100 kW electron linear accelerator for NSC KIPT, which will be used to drive a neutron source on the basis of subcritical assembly. Beam dynamics studies have been conducted to reach the design requirements （E=100 MeV, P=100 kW, dE/E 〈1% for 99% particles）. In this paper, we will present the progress of the design and the dynamic simulation results. For high intensity and long beam pulse linear accelerators, the BBU effect is one big issue; special care has been taken in the accelerating structure design. To satisfy the energy spread requirement at the linac exit, the particles with large energy difference from the synchronous particle should be eliminated at a low energy stage to ease the design of the collimation system and radiation shielding. A dispersion free chicane with 4 bending magnets is introduced downstream of the 1st accelerating section; the unwanted particles will be collimated there.

Detection of ground ice using ground penetrating radar method

The paper presents the results of a ground penetrating radar （GPR） application for the detection of ground ice. We com- bined a reflection traveltime curves analysis with a frequency spectrogram analysis. We found special anomalies at specific traces in the traveltime curves and ground boundaries analysis, and obtained a ground model for subsurface structure which allows the ground ice layer to be identified and delineated.

＜正＞Nowadays the interest of a scientists and engineers to theories and methods of applied multivariate geometry increases, these methods are important in different area of expertise. A lot of industrial processes depend on many influencing factors. The Possibility of the use the computers for managing such process is defined by presence of their mathematical models. Thereby the problem of analytical description and graphic presentation of prototyping processes varieties appears. In this work a universal method of modeling of the multivariate surfaces on given discrete framework in the form of algebraic curves is considered. As a result of applying this method we get analytic equation of required dependence.

Mechanism of Elastic Waves Reflection in Geological Media

Reflecting properties of layered geological media are substantiated in the framework of phonon-phonon mechanism of elastic wave propagation in porous media. In this scope the reflection coefficient is calculated using not impedances but impulses of phonons in adjoining porous media. Assuming for the first approximation that rocks do fulfill an average time equation we got an expression for the reflection coefficient via porosity factors of that geological medium. For calculation of reflection coefficient the wavelength is chosen as averaging line scale. These coefficients are calculated at every depth point for a set of frequencies in seismic range. Resulting curves have special depth points. Being cross-plotted in time-frequency space such points do form coherent units. These units we call effective boundaries, because they cause all reflections for the given media in the framework of considered model. Effective boundaries are not wide-band as for two half spaces but have a cutoff at some low frequency. Geological medium at a whole is characterized by the system of such effective boundaries that are capable to form a reflection waves field. To construct this field an algorithm is developed that solves the direct problem of seismic in the framework of effective boundaries theory. This algorithm is illustrated with vibroseis survey modeling for a specific geological section.

Africa is the cradle of all human beings, and although it has been the focus of a number of genetic studies, there are many questions that remain unresolved. We have performed one of the largest and most comprehensive meta-analyses of mitochondrial DNA （mtDNA） lineages carried out in the African continent to date. We generated high-throughput mtDNA single nucleotide polymorphism （SNP） data （230 SNPs） from 2024 Africans, where more than 500 of them were additionally genotyped for the control region. These data were analyzed together with over 12,700 control region profiles collected from the literature, representing more than 300 population samples from Africa. Insights into the African homeland of humans are discussed. Phylogeographic patterns for the African continent are shown at a high phylogeographic resolution as well as at the population and regional levels. The deepest branch of the mtDNA tree, haplogroup L0, shows the highest sub-haplogroup diversity in Southeast and East Africa, suggesting this region as the homeland for modem humans. Several demographic estimates point to the coast as a facilitator of human migration in Africa, but the data indicate complex patterns, perhaps mirroring the effect of recent continental-scaled demographic events in re-shaping African mtDNA variability.

Study of RPC gas composition using Daya Bay RPCs

This study uses Daya Bay RPCs operating in streamer mode to investigate gas mixtures of at least 50% argon, at most 6% isobutane, and with small amounts of SF6. Isobutane is reduced to 2% without degradation of performance, and SF6 reduces the noise rate and current, as well as the signal size. This study provides quantitative relationships between basic RPC operating parameters and various gas compositions.

Every year 1.3 million people worldwide are killed on roads and between 20 and 50 million are injured. A good solution to this problem would be to develop machines, which take into account the environment. That is why today, safe auto driving is becoming a popular topic in many fields, from small projects to large car factories. However, this topic also raises many questions and problems. There is a need to define the width of the edges of the road, recognize road signs, traffic lights, pedestrians, and other objects, which contribute the driving safely. There are many methods for solving these *** experiments proposed in this paper based on the intellectual system of the vehicle. As experimental vehicle used smart car BJUT-IV, which is property of Beijing University of Technology. This paper discusses two of the most important tasks, which are detection edge of the road and traffic signs *** start the work it needs to get the images from the camera and preprocess it. This part include changing the images to grey scale, filtering images and its transformation into binary *** next step proposed some methods of transformation images to grey scale after what results of these methods compared. As the basis of the selected weighted average method. For image, filtering used to de-noise with application. To select a binarization method was done a large number of experiments. For this, we applied Otsu *** next step after a successful image pre-processing, is detecting edges of the road. To do this, using the Hough method. To save time and resources, Hough method applied to the region of interest. Also using the implementation of Catmull-rom for the curves detection.
