Objective: To investigate new scolicidal agent from natural resources to cope with the side effects associated with synthetic drugs in Echinococcosis. Methods: The scolicidal potential of methanolic fruit powder extract (10 and 20 mg/mL) of Mallotus philippinensis ( M. philippinensis ) was investigated. Viability of protoscoleces was confirmed by trypan blue exclusion method, where mortality was observed at concentration of 10 and 20 mg/mL in 60 min treatment against Echinococcus granulosus ( E. granulosus ), under in-vitro conditions with reference to the known standard drug Praziquantel . Results: At concentration 10 and 20 mg/mL, the mortality rate was observed 97% and 99% respectively for 60 min treatment; while up to 93% mortality was observed with 20 mg/mL for only 10 min treatment. The concentration above 20 mg/mL for above 2 h showed 100% mortality, irrespective of further incubation. conclusions: As compared with the standard anti-parasitic drug Praziquantel our extract has significant scolicidal activity with almost no associated side effects.

Objectives:The uses of devices of electromagnetic waves(EMWs)are increasing day by ***,the generation of the waves is *** frequency spectrum of the generation of waves is also *** this manuscript,an analysis of the high frequency EMWs has been made by the electric fields generated due to the exposure of 5th generation(5 G)of mobile ***:Due to the emission of waves from the towers,the electric field is generated around the transmission tower of mobile *** electric fields are computed by the power of the transmission *** electric fields across the biological tissues/cells are also computed when the EMWs penetrate inside the *** electric fields are made across the organs of different depths inside the ***:The induced electric fields inside the organs of the human beings are responsible for the absorption of energy from high frequency *** absorbed amount of energy from high frequency waves may become the cause of harmful effects on the life of organs of human ***:In this manuscript,after analysis of the computed electric fields inside the organs of human beings,it is concluded that the EMWs of 5 G spectrum of mobile phone towers may more harmful for the life of organs as 4th generation(4 G)spectrum of mobile phone *** energy absorption by the 4 G spectrum is lower than 5 G spectrum due to the range of frequency of *** effects on the pancreas,retina,skin,intestine,spleen,stomach and uterus are more than low water content organs like nails,bone,teeth etc.

Non-homogeneous irradiation patterns and temperature levels immensely affect the performance of solar photovoltaic *** shading conditions on solar arrays reduce the peak power and *** paper provides a new remedy called a novel Ramanujan reconfiguration(NRR)to eliminate this physical shading problem in solar photovoltaic *** is a static-based reconfigured technique that is built using a three-diode model with the help of the MATLAB®/Simulink®*** special feature of the proposed NRR technique is that when shade occurs on the solar modules,it gets realigned in a particular row,column,diagonal,corner,centre and middle peripheral *** helps over a wide range of shade dispersion on the solar *** novel topology is tested against the conventional total cross-tied(TcT)model and recently introduced advanced reconfigured models,namely odd–even topology(OET)and Kendoku topology(KDT).The results are tested under certain shading *** proposed NRR technique increases the peak power by 4.45,2.15 and 2.17 W under the first shading condition regarding TcT,OET and *** efficiency is improved by 0.51–2.18%under the third shading condition compared with other considered models in this *** addition,NRR leads to smooth output curves under the second,third and fourth shading conditions,effectively mitigating the local power *** experimental results show the proposed enhanced performance of the novel model against the other *** Abstract Remedy for physical problem correlated with solar photovoltaics comparison with traditional and recent solar models conclusion:NRR has effectively handled the problem related with solar *** has improved the efficiency up to 31.44%under ***,smooth output curves under S2-S4 shows its effectiveness in mitigating the local power *** power gain at 3.94%under S4 is achieved by novel ***-time verification proves the supremacy of novel proposed model over o

Zinc partitioning in basmati rice varieties as influenced by Zn fertilization

Zinc(Zn) ferti-fortification using different sources and methods in Zn deficient soils is being advocated to increase Zn concentration in rice kernel as an alternative to pursuing greater Zn-use efficiency(ZnUE). A two-year field study was conducted to assess the effect of Zn application on Zn content and uptake at several growth stages and in several parts of the rice kernel: hull, bran, and the white rice kernel. Variety ‘PB 1509' with 1.25 kg Zn ha^(-1) as Zn-EDTA + 0.5% foliar spray(FS) at maximum tillering(MT) and panicle initiation(PI) stages registered the highest Zn content in hull, bran, and white rice kernel. Among parts of the rice kernel, Zn concentration decreased in the order hull > bran > white rice kernel,indicating that brown rice kernels are much denser in Zn content than polished *** the higher Zn accumulation in the bran, brown rice consumption, especially in Asia and Africa, could be recommended to overcome Zn malnutrition. The variety ‘PB 1401'showed the highest Zn uptake in rice straw, while ‘PB 1509' showed the highest Zn uptake in hull and white rice kernel. Application of 1.25 kg Zn ha^(-1)(Zn-EDTA) + 0.5% FS at MT and PI and 2.5 kg Zn ha^(-1) ZnSO_4·7H_2O(ZnSHH) + 0.5% FS at MT and PI resulted in higher Zn uptake than other treatments. On average, about one third of total Zn uptake remained in the white rice kernel, with the remaining two thirds accumulating in both hull and bran of brown rice. Zn-EDTA along with 0.5% FS, despite the application of a lower quantity of Zn leading to the highest Zn mobilization efficiency index(ZnMEI) and Zn-induced nitrogen recovery efficiency(ZniNRE), produced the highest kernel yield. However, of the two Zn sources, Zn-EDTA contributed more to the increase in ZnUE than did ZnSHH.

Self-lubrication is one of the smart material properties required for producing components with enhanced wear resistance and low coefficient of ***(BD)satin weave polyacrylonitrile(PAN)based carbon fiber(cf)fabric preform was successfully infiltrated with Al 6061 alloy by squeeze infiltration *** infiltrated composite shows uniform distribution of carbon fibers in the matrix with the elimination of porosities,fiber damage and close control on the formation of deleterious aluminum carbide(Al4c3)***/Al composite exhibits remarkable wear resistance compared to unreinforced alloy due to the formation of self-lubricating tribolayer on the pin surface,which intercepts the contact of matrix metal to counter *** BD carbon fiber enhanced the hardness and compressive strength of the composite by restraining the plastic flow behavior of *** resolution transmission electron microscopy shows the presence of Al2O3 and MgAl2O4 spinel,confirmed by EDS and SAD pattern,at the composite *** composite shows a lower density of 2.16 g/cm^3 which is a major ad vantage for weight reduction compared to the monolithic alloy(2.7 g/cm^3).

Single-phase pristine and cation-substituted calcium manganite（ca1-xBixMn1-yVyO3-δ） polycrystalline samples were synthesized by the solid state reaction technique. Their thermoelectric properties were measured by a set up that was designed and assembled in the laboratory. The ca1-x BixMn1-yVyO3-δsample with x = y = 0.04 has shown a power factor（S^2σ） of 176 μW/m/K^2 at 423 K, which is nearly two orders of magnitude higher than that of the pristine sample（2.1 μW/m/K2）. The power factor of the substituted oxide remains almost temperature independent as the Seebeck coefficient increases monotonically with temperature, along with the simultaneous decrease in electrical resistivity which is attributed to enhanced electron density due to co-doping of bismuth and vanadium and grain boundary scattering. These cation-substituted calcium manganites can be used as a potential candidate for an n-type leg in a thermoelectric generator（module）.

Background Hypospadias surgery has been continuously evolving,although there is no single technique which can be said to be perfect and suitable for all types of *** incised plate(TIP)urethroplasty(Snodgrass procedure)is presently the most common surgical procedure performed for distal penile hypospadias(DPH).The aim of this study was to compare the outcome of TIP urethroplasty using Dartos flap(DF)and spongioplasty as second layer in *** A total of 30 patients of DPH were repaired using TIP urethroplasty with DF or spongioplasty as second layer from January 2017 to June *** of 30 patients,TIP with DF was done in 15 patients(group A)and TIP with spongioplasty was done in the remaining 15 patients(group B).Preoperative mean age and weight were comparable in both *** complications,namely,postoperative edema,residual chordee,urethrocutaneous fistula(UcF),meatal stenosis and final cosmesis,were *** In both groups,complications included postoperative edema(Gp A-1Gp B-1),residual chordee(Gp A-1,Gp B-1),UcF(Gp A-3,Gp B-4),meatal stenosis(Gp A-1,Gp B-5)and poor cosmesis(Gp A-3,Gp B-4).Wound infection was managed with appropriate antibiotics,and meatal stenosis responded to calibration in five *** it seems that DF has a better outcome clinically,the difference between the two techniques was statistically not *** DF as an additional cover to TIP is associated with an acceptable complication and has good cosmesis compared with spongioplasty;however,the difference is not statistically significant.
