Evaluation of the calibration factors of neutron dose rate meters in a 241Am–Be neutron field

Calibrations were performed for three types of neutron ambient dose equivalent rate meters, i.e., Aloka TPS-451C (Hitachi), KSAR1U.06 (Baltic Scientific Instruments), and Model 12-4 (Ludlum), using a standard field of a 241Am–Be source. The measured total neutron ambient dose equivalent rates, H*(10)' tot, were analyzed to obtain the direct neutron ambient dose equivalent rates, H*(10)' dir, using the ISO 8529-2-recommended generalized- fit method, semiempirical fit method, and reducedfitting method (RFM) fit methods. The calibration factor (CF), defined as the ratio between the conventional true value of the neutron ambient dose equivalent rates in a free field, H*(10)' FF, and H*(10)' dir, was evaluated as one of the important characteristics of the neutron meters in the present work. The fitting results show that the H*(10)' dir values of the meters are in good agreement within the theoretical data within 4%. The averaged CFs of the three neutron meters were evaluated as 0:99 ± 0:01, 1:00 ± 0.03;and 0:99 ± 0:08, respectively. The largest standard uncertainty of these values was determined to be approximately 18.47%(k =1). The standard uncertainty of the CFs obtained using the RFM method was less than 4.23%(k=1), which is the smallest uncertainty among the three methods.

To investigate diagnostic accuracy of 2-hour protocol of rest thallium-201/stress technetium-99m sestamibi dual-isotope myocardial perfusion SPECT in chronic coronary artery disease. Sixty-seven patients with suspected CAd were enrolled in the prospective study. All patients underwent myocardial perfusion scintigraphy in SPECT with dual isotopes of T1-201 and dipyridamole stress Tc-99m sestamibi. Rest and stress imaging protocol were performed in 2 hours by dose of 3 mCi TI-201 and 25 mCi Tc-99m sestamibi. The acquisition parameters includes LEHR collimator, energy peak of 72 and 167 keV for T1-201 and 140 keV for Tc-99m, 180-degree rotation from RAO to LPO, matrix size 64x64, and 25second/frame/64 frames. The 20-segment model of left ventricle was used in automatic quantitation software. Coronary angiography was used as gold standard. CAd was defined as 50% of lumen stenosis on coronary angiography. Rest TI-201/stress tc-99m sestamibi dual-isotope SPECT demonstrated a sensitivity of 94.59% and specificity of 70%, positive predictive value of 79.54% and negative predictive value of 91.3% in detection of coronary artery disease. Sensitivity and specificity for detecting multi-vessel coronary artery disease were 82.75% and 81.57% for the left anterior descending, 77.77% and 91.83% for left circumflex and 94.11% and 82% for right coronary artery. 2-hour protocol of rest thallium-201/stress technetium-99m sestamibi dual-isotope myocardial perfusion SPECT has high sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value in detecting chronic coronary artery disease with greater than 50% stenosis assessed by coronary angiography Moreover, this imaging protocol gives high imaging quality, time-saving and convenience.

Objective : We here by report the im mediate results of our first 50 attempts of Percutaneous Mitral Valvuloplasty (PMV) using Inoue balloon in vietnam- The mean age was (35 ±15) years- The gender :44 females and 6 males- 40 were in sinus rhythm and 10 presented with atrialfibrillation- The mean total echo score was 6-7 ±3-5 and the majority was in functional class ( nYHA) Ⅲ/ Ⅳ(85 % )- Results :The procedure wastechnically successfulin 47 patients (94 % )- PMVresulted in significantimprovementin hemodynamic values :the mean left atrial pressure fellfrom (25 ±9) m m Hg to (12 ±5) m m Hg ( p n transmitral gradientfrom (20 ±8) m m Hg to (4 ±3) m m Hg ( p nd the mean pulmonary pressure fellfrom (45 ±15) m m Hgto (30 ±10) m m Hg ( p n 2d echo cardiogram increased significantly from (0-7 ±0-4) cm 2to (1-5 ±0-5) cm 2( p nd similar MVA was obtained on echo doppler (0-75 ±0-3) cm 2to (1-55 ±0-4) cm2- There was one case with failure to crossthe mitral valve orifice with Inoue balloon- There were two tamponades- The first,in a patientto whom PMV was stopped- The patient underwentsuccessfulclosed heart comissurotomy right afterthe pericardial tamponade subsided and his general status stabilized- The second case also had pericardial effusion drained and reperfused ,and PMV was performed successfully in the catheterization laboratory when the tamponade had subsided and cardiovascular status normalized- We met one case with increasing MR post PMV(grade Ⅲ)- Transient cerebral event occurred in one patient who fully recovered 2 days later- Conclusion : The acute results ofthis series attest to the effectiveness and usefulness of PMV with Inoue balloon in vietnam-

There is a clear trend in the increase of damages and loss of lives and livelihoods in coastal areas as a result of rapid increase in coastal populations, and overall socio-economic development in coastal regions resulting in an increase in vulnerability of populations exposed to coastal floods and exposed infrastructure. Coastal flooding as a result of i.e. storm surges are difficult to predict and cannot be prevented, however there are means to apply integrated flood risk management approaches aiming to reduce the impact of coastal floods. A measure of the effectiveness of such approaches is the awareness and response of coastal communities to coastal flood risks. The paper introduces best practices and methods to lower coastal flood risk at the level of provinces, districts and the community level. This includes advances in coastal flood forecasting and early warning practices, improvement of institutional preparedness and integrated flood management practices as well as measures at the community level aiming to strengthen their resilience to coastal floods. The paper provides a showcase for the historical development and achievements to pave ways for the eventual implementation of a pilot project on integrated flood risk management in coastal areas in central viet nam.

We use archival ALMA observations of the CO(2-1)and SiO(5-4)molecular line emissions of AGB star R Hya to illustrate the relative contributions of rotation,expansion and line broadening to the morphology and kinematics of the circumstellar envelope(CSE)within some~70 au(~0."5)from the centre of the *** give evidence for rotation and important line broadening to dominate the inner region,within~14 au(~100 mas)from the centre of the *** former is about an axis that projects a few degrees west of north and has a projected rotation velocity of a few km s^(-1).The latter occurs within some 7-14 au(50-100 mas)from the centre of the star,with the line width reaching two to three times its value outside this *** suggest that it is caused by shocks induced by stellar pulsations and convective cell *** show the importance of properly accounting for the observed line broadening when discussing rotation and evaluating the radial dependence of the rotation velocity.

目的观察三七总皂苷(PnS)对体外经转化生长因子-β_1(TGF-β_1)诱导肺腺癌A549细胞后发生上皮细胞间质化(EMT)的作用。方法首先进行PnS MTT实验,然后再进行PnS干预EMT实验,将A549细胞随机分为5组:空白组加入F-12培养基,模型组及低、中、高浓度中药组分别加入10 ng/mL TGF-β_1和62.5、125、250μg/mL PnS,继续培养72 h。采用光学显微镜观察各组细胞的形态变化,采用实时荧光定量PCR、Western Blot及免疫荧光技术检测纤维连接蛋白(Fn)、波形蛋白(Vim)、E-钙黏素(E-Cad)mRnA及蛋白表达水平。结果 31.25～500μg/mL PnS对A549细胞无明显增殖作用。与空白组比较,模型组Fn mRnA及蛋白表达升高(Pd mRnA及蛋白表达降低(Pn mRnA表达降低(Pd及蛋白mRnA表达升高(Pn蛋白表达降低(PnS体外干预可提高EMT过程中上皮标志物E-Cad并抑制间质标志物Fn、Vim的表达,高浓度时结果更为显著,对EMT过程有一定的干预作用。
