In this work,we investigate a classical pseudomonotone and Lipschitz continuous variational inequality in the setting of Hilbert space,and present a projection-type approximation method for solving this *** method requires only to compute one projection onto the feasible set per iteration and without any linesearch procedure or additional projections as well as does not need to the prior knowledge of the Lipschitz constant and the sequentially weakly continuity of the variational inequality mapping.A strong convergence is established for the proposed method to a solution of a variational inequality problem under certain mild ***,we give some numerical experiments illustrating the performance of the proposed method for variational inequality problems.

numerical investigation of the effect of seasonal variations of depthof-closure on shoreline evolution

The current study presents the effects of seasonal variations in the depth-of-closure（d;） on shoreline evolution using a numerical,one-line shoreline *** erosion of the southern beach of the nha Trang Coast,which is located in south central of vietnam,is selected as the study *** study area is immensely influenced by the tropical monsoon climate that has a clear pattern of large waves in the northeast monsoon season and calm waves in the non-monsoon *** analysis of the long-term measured shoreline variations from a video-camera system has found a strong correlation of these variations to the monsoon-dominated wave characteristics in the nha Trang ***,a new approach for determining the depth-of-closure with consideration of the seasonal wave climate changes is purposed in the current *** implementing this new approach into a numerical,one-line shoreline model,it is found that the seasonal variations of d;appear to better describe the periodical shoreline evolution due to the monsoon-dominated wave characteristics for the nha Trang *** important findings are considered to commonly apply for monsoon-dominated coastal regions in *** findings are useful information not only for scientific readers but also for the coastal authorities and managers in order to make better countermeasure plans against this kind of erosion mechanism in the future.

Aerodynamic force generation of an insect-inspired flapper actuated by a compressed unimorph actuator

We examined experimentally the flapping performance in terms of aerodynamic force generation of an insect-inspired flapper actuated by both of original LIPCA and compressed LIPCA. Flapping tests for two artificial wing shapes of horse botfly and hawk moth were conducted at the wing rotation angle of 60° and a flapping frequency range from 6 Hz to 12 Hz to find the optimum flapping frequency and to investigate the effect of compressed LIPCA and wing shape on the force generation. Flapping tests in the vacuum were also undertaken to measure the induced inertia force. The aerodynamic force was calculated by subtracting the inertia force from the total force measured in the air. It was found that the average inertia force was relatively small when compared with the average total force. The use of the compressed LIPCA could significantly improve the flapping angle of the flapper from 110° to 130° (18.2% increase) resulting in 24.5% increase in the average aerodynamic force. It was also found that flapper with hawk moth wings could produce larger force than the flapper with horse botfly wings.

nOx emissions cause many negative impacts on the living *** photocatalysis of semiconductors is superior for nitric oxide(nO)degradation due to their low redox *** this report,we combine SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)n_(4)heterojunction photocatalyst toward the high selectivity into green products under visible light *** show that SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)n_(4)heterojunction degraded 40.8%of nO,which is 1.6 times higher than that of g-C_(3)n_(4).In addition,the selectivity coefficient of SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)n_(4)is higher 3 times than both pure SnO_(2-x)and g-C_(3)n_(4).Furthermore,SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)n_(4)expresses a superior stability for nO photocatalytic-degradation after five *** scavenger trapping test results,and electron spin resonance(ESR)analysis also provide more understanding of the charge transfer mechanism of ***_(2-x)/g-C_(3)n_(4)heterojunction shows a high removal efficiency of nO gas,making it an up-and-coming environmental treatment candidate.

Effect of heating time on the structural,morphology,optical,and photocatalytic properties of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3n4)nanosheets prepared at 550℃in Ar atmosphere is *** investigations are carried out by using x-ray diffraction(XRd),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),UV-vis absorption,and photoluminescence(PL).At a heating temperature of 550℃,g-C3n4 nanocrystals are formed after 0.5 h and become more orderly as the heating time *** surface area of the g-C3n4 nanosheets significantly increases as the preparation time *** g-C3n4 prepared in 2.5 h shows the highest photocatalytic performance,decomposing completely 10 ppm RhB solution under xenon lamp irradiation for 2.0 h.

deep learning(dL)models currently employed in materials research exhibit certain limitations in delivering meaningful information for interpreting predictions and comprehending the relationships between structure and material *** address these limitations,we propose an interpretable dL architecture that incorporates the attention mechanism to predict material properties and gain insights into their structure–property *** proposed architecture is evaluated using two well-known datasets(the QM9 and the Materials Project datasets),and three in-house-developed computational materials ***–test–split validations confirm that the models derived using the proposed dL architecture exhibit strong predictive capabilities,which are comparable to those of current state-of-the-art ***,comparative validations,based on first-principles calculations,indicate that the degree of attention of the atoms’local structures to the representation of the material structure is critical when interpreting structure–property relationships with respect to physical *** properties encompass molecular orbital energies and the formation energies of *** proposed architecture shows great potential in accelerating material design by predicting material properties and explicitly identifying crucial features within the corresponding structures.

A Simple Approach to the Fabrication of Graphene-Carbon nanotube Hybrid Films on Copper Substrate by Chemical Vapor deposition

In this study,graphene-carbon nanotube（CnT） hybrid films were directly synthesized on polycrystalline copper（Cu） substrates by thermal chemical vapor deposition（CVd） *** films were synthesized on Cu substrate at 1000 ℃ in mixture of gases:argon（Ar）,hydrogen（H2）,and methane（CH4）.Then,carbon nanotubes（CnTs） were grown uniformly on the surface of graphene/Cu films at 750 ℃ in mixture of Ar,*** acetylene（C2H2） *** salt FeCl3solution deposited onto the surface of graphene/Cu substrate by spin coating method was used as precursor for the growth of the *** density and quality of the CnTs on the surface of graphene/Cu films can be controlled by varying the concentration of FeCl3salt catalyst.

Improvement of Artificial Foldable Wing Models by Mimicking the Unfolding/Folding Mechanism of a Beetle Hind Wing

In an attempt to realize a flapping wing micro-air vehicle with morphing wings, we report on improvements to our previousfoldable artificial hind *** hinges, which were implemented to mimic the bending zone of a beetle hind wing, weremade of small composite hinge plates and tiny aluminum *** buck-tails of rivets were flared after the hinge plates wereassembled with the rivets so that the folding/unfolding motions could be completed in less time, and the straight shape of theartificial hind wing could be maintained after *** and unfolding actions were triggered by electrically-activatedShape Memory Alloy (SMA) *** wing folding, the actuation characteristics of the SMA wire actuator were modifiedthrough heat *** a series of flapping tests, we confirmed that the artificial wings did not fold back and arbitrarilyfluctuate during the flapping motion.

Attribute reduction,also known as feature selection,for decision information systems is one of the most pivotal issues in machine learning and data *** based on the rough set theory and some extensions were proved to be efficient for dealing with the problemof attribute ***,the intuitionistic fuzzy sets based methods have not received much interest,while these methods are well-known as a very powerful approach to noisy decision tables,i.e.,data tables with the low initial classification ***,this paper provides a novel incremental attribute reductionmethod to dealmore effectivelywith noisy decision tables,especially for highdimensional *** particular,we define a new reduct and then design an original attribute reduction method based on the distance measure between two intuitionistic fuzzy *** should be noted that the intuitionistic fuzzypartitiondistance iswell-knownas aneffectivemeasure todetermine important *** interestingly,an incremental formula is also developed to quickly compute the intuitionistic fuzzy partition distance in case when the decision table increases in the number of *** formula is then applied to construct an incremental attribute reduction algorithm for handling such dynamic ***,some experiments are conducted on real datasets to show that our method is far superior to the fuzzy rough set based methods in terms of the size of reduct and the classification accuracy.
