Optimization Model for Selecting Temporary Hospital Locations during COVId-19 Pandemic

The two main approaches that countries are using to ease the strain on healthcare infrastructure is building temporary hospitals that are specialized in treating COVId-19 patients and promoting preventive *** such,the selection of the optimal location for a temporary hospital and the calculation of the prioritization of preventive measures are two of the most critical decisions during the pandemic,especially in densely populated areas where the risk of transmission of the virus is *** the location selection process or the prioritization of measures is poor,healthcare workers and patients can be harmed,and unnecessary costs may come into *** this study,a decision support framework using a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(FAHP)and a weighted aggregated sum product assessment model are proposed for selecting the location of a temporary hospital,and a FAHP model is proposed for calculating the prioritization of preventive measures against COVId-19.A case study is performed for Ho Chi Minh City using the proposed decision-making *** contribution of this work is to propose a multiple criteria decision-making model in a fuzzy environment for ranking potential locations for building temporary hospitals during the COVId-19 *** results of the study can be used to assist decisionmakers,such as government authorities and infectious disease experts,in dealing with the current pandemic as well as other diseases in the *** the entire world facing the global pandemic of COVId-19,many scientists have applied research achievements in practice to help decision-makers make accurate decisions to prevent the *** the number of cases increases exponentially,it is crucial that government authorities and infectious disease experts make optimal decisions while considering multiple quantitative and qualitative *** such,the proposed approach can also be applied to support complex decision-making processes in a fuzzy environment in di

An Efficient Adaptive Hierarchical Sliding Mode Control Strategy Using neural networks for 3d Overhead Cranes

In this paper, a new adaptive hierarchical sliding mode control scheme for a 3d overhead crane system is proposed. A controller is first designed by the use of a hierarchical structure of two first-order sliding surfaces represented by two actuated and un-actuated subsystems in the bridge crane. Parameters of the controller are then intelligently estimated, where uncertain parameters due to disturbances in the 3d overhead crane dynamic model are proposed to be represented by radial basis function networks whose weights are derived from a Lyapunov function. The proposed approach allows the crane system to be robust under uncertainty conditions in which some uncertain and unknown parameters are highly difficult to determine. Moreover, stability of the sliding surfaces is proved to be guaranteed. Effectiveness of the proposed approach is then demonstrated by implementing the algorithm in both synthetic and reallife systems, where the results obtained by our method are highly promising.

Over the last decade,our knowledge of colorectal serrated polyps and lesions has significantly improved due to numerous studies on this group of precursor *** lesions were misleading as benign before 2010,but they are currently reclassified as precancerous lesions that contribute to 30%of colorectal cancer through the serrated neoplasia *** World Health Organization updated the classification for serrated lesions and polyps of the colon and rectum in 2019,which is more concise and applicable in daily *** responsible authors prescribe that“colorectal serrated lesions and polyps are characterized by a serrated(sawtooth or stellate)architecture of the epithelium.”From a clinical standpoint,sessile serrated lesion(SSL)and SSL with dysplasia(SSLd)are the two most significant *** these advancements,the precise diagnosis of SSL and SSLd based mainly on histopathology remains challenging due to various *** review describes the nomenclature and the terminology of colorectal serrated polyps and lesions and highlights the diagnostic criteria and obstacles encountered in the histopathological diagnosis of SSL and SSLd.

Cr/nanodiamond composite plating with cobalt cation additive

The garment industry in vietnam is one of the country’s strongest industries in the ***,the production process still encounters problems regarding scheduling that does not equate to an optimal *** paper introduces a production scheduling solution that resolves the potential delays and lateness that hinders the production process using integer programming and order allocation with a make-to-order manufacturing viewpoint.A number of constraints were considered in the model and is applied to a real case study of a factory in order to viewhowthe tardiness and latenesswould be affected which resulted in optimizing the scheduling time ***,the constraints considered were order assignments,production time,and tardiness with an objective function which is to minimize the total cost of *** results of the study precisely the overall cost of delay of the orders given to the plant and successfully propose a suitable production schedule that utilizes the most of the plant *** study has shown promising results that would assist plant and production managers in determining an algorithm that they can apply for their production process.

Bertram Huppert conjectured in the late 1990s that the nonabelian simple groups are determined up to an abelian direct factor by the set of their character degrees. Although the conjecture has been established for various simple groups of Lie type and simple sporadic groups, it is expected to be difficult for alternating groups. In [5], Hup- pert verified the conjecture for the simple alternating groups An of degree up to 11. In this paper, we continue his work and verify the conjecture for the alternating groups of degrees 12 and 13.

Fog computing in the Internet of Health Things(IoHT)is promising owing to the increasing need for energy-and latency-optimized health sector ***,clinical data(particularly,medical image data)are a delicate,highly protected resource that should be utilized in an effective and responsible manner to fulfil consumer ***,we propose an energy-efficient fog-based IoHT with a tunicate swarm-optimization-(TSO)-based lightweight Simon cipher to enhance the energy efficiency at the fog layer and the security of data stored at the cloud *** proposed Simon cipher uses the TSO algorithm to select the optimal keys that will minimize the deterioration of quality between the original and reconstructed(decrypted)*** this study,the decrypted image quality is preserved by the peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSnR)such that consumers can generate precise medical reports from IoHT devices at the application ***,a lightweight encryption step is implemented in the fog to improve energy efficiency and reduce additional computations at the cloud *** results indicate that the TSO-Simon model achieved a high PSnR of 61.37 dB and a pixel change rate of 95.31.

The vietnamese agricultural sector has experienced a dramatic structural change based on increased specialization in rice ***,small-scale rice-farmers have continued to grow multiple crops,especially in less developed *** the literature advocates crop diversification for reasons of both economic and ecological sustainability,there lacks empirical evidence as to whether crop diversification brings efficiency and productivity gains to small *** present study is the first applications of the input-oriented stochastic distance function approach in estimating scale and scope economies using data of multi-crop farming households in *** find strong evidence of product-specific economies of *** economies are also present for rice,vegetable,and other annual crop *** suggests that crop diversification enhances efficiency and ***,there still exists significant technical inefficiency in crop production,indicating opportunities to expand farm output at the existing level of inputs and *** specifically,our empirical results indicate that it is desirable to expand vegetable and other annual crop production in mountainous areas while rice cultivation can be further expanded in delta and coastal regions.

Free vibration characteristics of sectioned unidirectional/bidirectional functionally graded material cantilever beams based on finite element analysis

Advancements in manufacturing technology,including the rapid development of additive manufacturing(AM),allow the fabrication of complex functionally graded material(FGM)sectioned *** of these beams may be made from different materials with possibly different gradients of material *** present work proposes models to investigate the free vibration of FGM sectioned beams based on onedimensional(1d)finite element *** this purpose,a sample beam is divided into discrete elements,and the total energy stored in each element during vibration is computed by considering either the Timoshenko or Euler-Bernoulli beam ***,Hamilton’s principle is used to derive the equations of motion for the *** effects of material properties and dimensions of FGM sections on the beam’s natural frequencies and their corresponding mode shapes are then investigated based on a dynamic Timoshenko model(TM).The presented model is validated by comparison with three-dimensional(3d)finite element simulations of the first three mode shapes of the beam.
