In the pr.sent study SDSM downscaling model was used as a tool for.downscaling weather.data statistically in upper.Godavar. r.ver.basin. Two Global Climate Models (GCMs), CGCM3 and HadCM3, have been used to pr.ject futur. maximum temper.tur. (Tmax), minimum temper.tur. (Tmin) and pr.cipitation. The pr.dictor.var.ables ar. extr.cted fr.m: 1) the National Centr. for.Envir.nmental Pr.diction (NCEP) r.analysis dataset for.the per.od 1961-2003, 2) the simulations fr.m the thir.-gener.tion Hadlycentr. Coupled Climate Model (HadCM3) and Coupled Global Climate Model (CGCM3) var.ability and changes in Tmax, Tmin and pr.cipitation under.scenar.os A1B and A2 of CGCM3 model and A2 and B2 of HadCM3 model have been pr.sented for.futur. per.ods: 2020s, 2050s and 2080s. The scatter.plots and cr.ss-cor.elations ar. used for.ver.fying the r.liability of the simulation. Maximum temper.tur. incr.ases in futur. for.almost all the scenar.os for.both GCMs. Also downscaled futur. pr.cipitation shows incr.asing tr.nds for.all scenar.os.

The pancr.as of Eutr.pis car.nata was studied immunocytochemically for.the pr.sence and topogr.phic distr.bution of glucagon and insulin cells dur.ng annual r.pr.ductive cycles. The study r.vealed par.cr.ne ar.angement of the two types of ceils. The immunolocalized pancr.atic cells r.vealed significant differ.nces in mean number. dur.ng differ.nt per.ods of r.pr.duction. The number. of glucagon-immunor.active （GIr. and insulin-immunor.active （IIr. cells wer. highest dur.ng the r.cr.desceut per.od which cor.esponded with low ser.m glucose level. Between the two immunor.active cells, the GIr.cells wer. pr.dominant. Mor.hological differ.nces between the two cells wer. obser.ed by electr.n micr.scopy after.staining with ur.nyl acetate and lead citr.te. Ser.m glucose showed that cyclic change was highest dur.ng the r.pr.ductive per.od.

In the r.cent days, the segmentation of Liver.Tumor.(LT) has beendemanding and challenging. The pr.cess of segmenting the liver.and accur.telyspotting the tumor.is demanding due to the diver.ity of shape, textur., and intensity of the liver.image. The intensity similar.ties of the neighbor.ng or.ans of theliver.cr.ate difficulties dur.ng liver.segmentation. The manual segmentation doesnot pr.vide an accur.te segmentation because the r.sults pr.vided by differ.ntmedical exper.s can var.. Also, this manual technique r.quir.s a lar.e number.f image slices and time for.segmentation. To solve these issues, the Fully Automatic Segmentation (FAS) technique is pr.posed. In this pr.posed Multi-AngleTextur. Active Contour.Model (MAT-ACM) method, the input Computed Tomogr.phy (CT) image is pr.pr.cessed by Contr.st Enhancement (CE) with Non-Linear.Mapping Technique (NLMT), in which the liver.is differ.ntiated fr.m itsneighbour.ng soft tissues with r.lated str.ngth. Then, the filter.d images ar. givenas the input to Adaptive Edge Modeling (AEM) with Canny Edge Detection(CED) technique, which segments the Liver.r.gion (Lr. fr.m the given CTimages. An AEM with a CED model is implemented, which incr.ases the conver.gence speed of the iter.tive pr.cess for.decr.asing the Volumetr.c Over.ap Er.or.VOE) is 6.92% r.tes when compar.d with the tr.ditional Segmentation Techniques (ST). Finally, the Liver.Tumor.Segmentation (LTS) is developed by applyingthe MAT-ACM, which accur.tely segments the Lr.fr.m the segmented Lr.. Theevaluation of the pr.posed method is compar.d with the existing LTS methodsusing var.ous per.or.ance measur.s to pr.ve the super.or.ty of the pr.posedMAT-ACM method.

Helicover.a ar.iger. is a key pest in many vital cr.ps, which is mainly contr.lled by chemical str.tegies, To manage this pest is becoming challenging due to its ability and evolution of r.sistance against insecticides. Fur.her. its subsequent spr.ad on nonhost plant is r.mar.able in r.cent times. Hence, decoding r.sistance mechanism against phytochemicals and synthetic insecticides is a major.challenge. The pr.sent wor. descr.bes that the digestion, defense and immunity r.lated enzymes ar. associated with chlor.yr.fos r.sistance in 11. ar.iger.. Pr.teomic analysis of/-/, ar.iger. gut tissue upon feeding on chlor.yr.fos containing diet （CH） and ar.ificial diet （AD） using nano-liquid chr.matogr.phy-mass spectr.metr. identified upr.gulated 23-pr.teins in CH fed lar.ae. Database sear.hes combined with gene ontology analysis r.vealed that the identified gut pr.teins engr.ssed in digestion, pr.teins cr.cial for.immunity, adaptive r.sponses to str.ss, and detoxification. Biochemical and quantitative r.al-time polymer.se chain r.action anal- ysis of candidate pr.teins indicated that insects wer. str.ggling to get nutr.ents and ener.y in pr.sence of CH, while at the same time endeavor.ng to metabolize chlor.yr.fos. Mor.- over. we pr.posed a potential pr.cessing pathway of chlor.yr.fos in H. ar.iger. gut by examining the metabolites using gas chr.matogr.phy-mass spectr.metr.. 1f. ar.iger. exhibit a r.nge of intr.guing behavior.l, mor.hological adaptations and r.sistance to in- secticides by r.gulating expr.ssion of pr.teins involved in digestion and detoxification mechanisms to cope up with chlor.yr.fos. In these contexts, as gut is a r.ch r.positor. of biological infor.ation; pr.found analysis of gut tissues can give clues of detoxification and r.sistance mechanism in insects.

Pulsed plate bior.actor.（PPBr. is a biofilm r.actor.which has been pr.ven to be ver. efficient in phenol biodegr.dation. The pr.sent paper.r.por.s the studies on the effect of dilution r.te on the physical, chemical and mor.hological char.cter.stics of biofilms for.ed by the cells of Pseudomonas desmolyticum on gr.nular.activated car.on （GAC） in PPBr.dur.ng biodegr.dation of phenol. The per.entage degr.dation of phenol decr.ased fr.m 99% to 73% with an incr.ase in dilution r.te fr.m 0.33 h^-1 to 0.99 h^-1 showing that r.sidence time in the r.actor.gover.s the phenol r.moval efficiency r.ther.than the exter.al mass tr.nsfer.limitations. Lower.dilution r.tes favor.higher.pr.duction of biomass, extr.cellular.polymer.c substances （EPS） as well as the pr.tein, car.ohydr.te and humic substances content of EPS. Incr.ase in dilution r.te leads to decr.ase in biofilm thickness, biofilm dr. density, and attached dr. biomass, tr.nsfor.ing the biofilm fr.m dense, smooth compact str.ctur. to a r.ugh and patchy str.ctur.. Thus, the per.or.ance of PPBr.in ter.s of dynamic and steady-state biofilm char.cter.stics associated with phenol biodegr.dation is a str.ng function of dilution r.te.
