In this.s.udy,the effects.of hybridizing micron-s.zed titanium particles.with nano-s.zed boron carbide particles.on the micros.ructural and mechanical properties.of Mg-Ti compos.te were *** characterization revealed grain refinement attributed to the pres.nce of uniformly dis.ributed micro-Ti particles.embedded with nano-B_(4)C *** back s.attered diffraction(EBs.)analys.s.of the Mg-(Ti+B_(4)C)BM hybrid compos.te s.owed relatively more localized recrys.allized grains.and les.er tens.le twin fraction,when compared to *** evaluation of mechanical properties.indicated that the bes. combination of s.rength and ductility was.obs.rved in the Mg-(Ti+B_(4)C)BM hybrid *** s.perior properties.of the Mg-(Ti+B_(4)C)BM hybrid compos.te when compared to Mg-Ti can be attributed to the pres.nce of nano-reinforcement,the uniform dis.ribution of the hybridized particles.and the better interfacial bonding between the matrix and the reinforcement particles.achieved by nano-B_(4)C addition.

s.per alloys.are intens.vely us.d in various.indus.ries. es.ecially in the aeros.ace indus.ry, becaus. of their s.ecial characteris.ics. A number of holes.are s.metimes.required to be drilled into s.per alloys.for aircraft at their final s.age as.embly. In the pres.nt s.udy, a hybrid ultras.nic machining method, called rotary ultras.nic machining （RUM）, was.s.cces.fully us.d in s.per alloy drilling. The empirical modeling of the proces. parameters.of RUM was.performed for the s.per alloy （Inconel 718） us.ng an experimental des.gn approach, called res.ons. s.rface methodology （Rs.）. Parameters. namely tool rotation, feed rate, ultras.nic power, and abras.ve grit s.ze, were s.lected as.input variables. The others.were kept cons.ant. The performance was.meas.red in terms.of the machining rate and the s.rface roughnes.. The developed models.were found to be reliable repres.ntatives.of the experimental res.lts.with prediction errors.les. than 4-5%. Moreover, the feed rate for the quality and productivity as.ect was.found to be the mos. critical factor. The optimized values.of the machining rate and the s.rface roughnes. achieved through a multi-res.ons. optimization were 0.9 825 mm3/s.and 0.951 ***, res.ectively.

Glycogen and its.products.of metabolis. are cons.dered to be the mos. important and direct s.urce of nutrient for the early conceptus. The premens.rual biops.es.were taken from 100 women with primary infertility whos. male partners.had normal s.menograms. The biops.es.were then s.bjected to Haematoxylin and Eos.n (H & E) and Periodic Acid s.hiff (PAs. s.aining with and without dias.as. to s.udy his.ological and his.ochemical changes.particularly glycogen content in the endometrium res.ectively. His.olomorphologic s.ectrum of endometrium on H & E s.ained s.ctions.revealed early proliferative phas. (4%), late proliferative phas. (7%) and early s.cretory phas. (7%), mid s.cretory phas. (33%) and late s.cretory phas. (49%). PAs.s.aining with or without dias.as. for glycogen was.performed and glycogen content, as.demons.rated by magenta color, was.graded from + to ++++. Glycogen content was.obs.rved to be “+” to “++” in proliferative phas., where as.in s.cretory phas., it varied from “++” to “+++”. Glycogen was.confirmed by treatment with dias.as. enzyme, after that PAs.s.ain gave negative s.aining, i.e. los. of magenta color as.glycogen was.diges.ed by dias.as.. Glycogen deficiency was.obs.rved in 24.7% of s.cretory phas. endometrium of infertile women. Depletion of glycogen res.lts.in inadequate preparation of endometrium at the time of implantation, and hence, may be one of the caus.s.of infertility.

Graphene nanoplatelets.（GNPs. were us.d as.multifunctional nanofiller to enhance thermal and mechanical properties.as.well as.electrical conductivity of two different biodegradable thermoplas.ics. poly lactide （PLA） and poly （butylene adipate-co-terephthalate）（PBAT）. Morphological inves.igations.s.owed different levels.of GNP dis.ers.on in the two matrices. and cons.quently phys.cal properties.of the two s.s.ems.exhibited dis.imilar behaviours.with GNP incorporation. Crys.allinity of PLA, determined from differential s.anning calorimetry, was.obs.rved to increas. markedly with addition of GNPs.in contras. to the decreas. in crys.allinity of PBAT. Is.thermal and non-is.thermal thermogravimetric analys.s.als. revealed a more s.gnificant delay in thermal decompos.tion of PLA upon addition of GNPs.compared to that of PBAT. Furthermore, res.lts.s.owed that increas.ng GNP content of PLA and PBAT nanocompos.tes.influenced their Young＇s.modulus.and electrical conductivity in different ways. Modulus.of PBAT increas.d continuous.y with increas.ng GNP loading while that of PLA reached a maximum at 9wt% GNPs.and then decreas.d. Moreover, des.ite the higher conductivity of pure PBAT compared to pure PLA, conductivity of PLA/GNP nanocompos.tes.overtook that of PBATIGNP nanocompos.tes.above a certain GNP concentration. This.demons.rated the determining effect of nanoplatelets.dis.ers.on s.ate on the matrices.properties.

Background: s.ontaneous.gallbladder perforation(GBP) is.an uncommon diagnos.s. This.s.udy pres.nted the experience of managing s.ontaneous.GBP over nine years.at a large, tertiary care univers.ty hos.ital in north India and inves.igated the outcomes.and treatment s.rategies. Methods. A retros.ective review of pros.ectively maintained digital databas. of cons.cutive patients.was.performed. All patients.received medical and/or s.rgical treatment for s.ontaneous.GBP in our department between January 2010 and June 2018. Res.lts. We identifed 151 patients.81 females.and 70 males. with mean age of 53 years. Mos. common pres.nting features.were pain(96.7%), fever(54.3%) and jaundice(31.1%). Mos. common caus. was.gallbladder s.ones.84.8%) followed by common bile duct s.ones.30.5%), xanthogranulomatous.cholecys.itis.17.9%) and malignancy(11.9%). As.per Niemeier clas.ifcation, 8.6% had type 1 GBP(free perforation in peritoneal cavity), 76.2% had type 2 GBP(localized perforation) and 13.2% had type 3 GBP(cholecys.oenteric fs.ula). About 60% of the perforations.were diagnos.d preoperatively. Type 1 was.more common in patients.with diabetes.and als. had the wors. prognos.s. s.rgery was.performed in 109 patients.72.2%). s.ven patients.4.6%) had a pos.operative morbidity of Clavien-Dindo Ⅲ or higher. There were three mortalities.in patients.who underwent s.rgery. Conclus.ons. High index of s.s.icion is.required for preoperative diagnos.s.of GBP, es.ecially in types.2 and 3. Laparos.opic cholecys.ectomy can be difficult in thes. patients.and patients.may require open or partial cholecys.ectomy. Early diagnos.s.and s.ep-up approach for the treatment of GBP is.critical.

This.paper s.udies.a two s.age s.pply chain with a dominant ups.ream partner. Manufacturer is.the dominant partner and operates.in a Jus.-in-Time environment. Production is.done in a s.ngle manufacturing line capable of producing two products.without s.opping the production for s.itching from one product to the other. The manufacturer impos.s.cons.raints.on the dis.ributor by adhering to his.favorable production s.hedule which minimizes.his.manufacturing cos.. Dis.ributor on the other hand caters.to retailers. orders.without incurring any s.ortages.and is.res.ons.ble for managing the inventory of finis.ed goods. Adhering to manufacturer＇s.s.hedule may lead to high inventory carrying cos.s.for the dis.ributor. Dis.ributor＇s.problem, which is.to find an optimal dis.ribution s.quence which minimizes.the dis.ributor＇s.inventory cos. under the cons.raint impos.d by the manufacturer is.proved NP-Hard by Manoj et al. （2008）. Therefore, s.lving large s.ze problems.require efficient heuris.ics. We develop algorithms.for the dis.ribution problem by exploiting its.s.ructural properties. We propos. two heuris.ics.and us. their s.lutions.in the initial population of a genetic algorithm to arrive at s.lutions.with an average deviation of les. than 3.5% from the optimal s.lution for practical s.ze problems.

AIM： To evaluate the clinical and biochemical profile of patients.with non alcoholic fatty liver dis.as. （NAFLD） and to as.es. their his.ological s.verity at ***： Cons.cutive patients.pres.nting to the liver clinic of All India Ins.itute of Medical s.iences.（AIIMs. with rais.d trans.minas.s.to at leas. 1.5 times.upper limit of normal, and his.ologically confirmed non-alcoholic fatty liver dis.as. were included. Patients.who had s.gnificant alcohol intake or pos.tive markers.of other liver dis.as.s.or who were taking drugs.known to produce fatty liver were excluded. The clinical, biochemical and his.ological profile of this.group was.s.udied. REs.LTs. Fifty-one patients.with NAFLD formed the s.udy population. Their median age and BMI were 34（17-58） years.and 26.7（21.3-32.5） kg/m^2 res.ectively and 46 （90.1%） were males. The majority of the patients.had mild inflammation, either grade 1 [32 （63%）] or grade 2 [16 （31%）] and only 3 （6%） patients.had s.vere （grade 3） inflammation. Twenty-three （45%）, 19 （37%）, 8（16%） and 1（2%） patient had s.age 0, 1, 2 and 3 fibros.s.res.ectively on index biops. and none had cirrhos.s. On univariate analys.s. triglyceride levels.more than 150 mg % （OR = 7.1; 95% CI： 1.6-31.5, P = 0.002） and As. ALT ratio 〉 1 （OR = 14.3; 95% CI： 1.4-678.5, P = 0.008） were as.ociated with high grades.of inflammation and none was.as.ociated with advanced fibros.s. On multivariate logis.ic regres.ion analys.s. hypertriglyceridemia 〉150 mg% was.the only factor independently as.ociated with pres.nce of high grade of inflammation （OR = 1.6; 95% CI： 1.3-22.7, P =0.02）, while none was.as.ociated with advanced fibros.s. Triglyceride levels.correlated pos.tively with inflammatory grade （r = 0.412; P = 0.003）. CONCLUs.ON： NAFLD in North Indian patients.is.a dis.as. of young over-weight males. mos. of whom are ins.lin res.s.ant and they tend to have a mild his.ological dis.as. at pres.ntation.

The poor performance of random writes.has.been a caus. of major concern which needs.to be addres.ed to better utilize the potential of flas. in enterpris.-s.ale environments. We examine one of the important caus.s.of this.poor performance： the des.gn of the flas. trans.ation layer （FTL） which performs.the virtual-to-phys.cal addres. trans.ations.and hides.the eras.-before-write characteris.ics.of flas.. We propos. a complete paradigm s.ift in the des.gn of the core FTL engine from the exis.ing techniques.with our Demand-Bas.d Flas. Trans.ation Layer （DFTL） which s.lectively caches.page- level addres. mappings. Our experimental evaluation us.ng Flas.s.m with realis.ic enterpris.-s.ale workloads.endors.s.the utility of DFTL in enterpris.-s.ale s.orage s.s.ems.by demons.rating： 1） improved performance, 2） reduced garbage collection overhead and 3） better overload behavior compared with hybrid FTL s.hemes.which are the mos. popular implementation methods. For example, a predominantly random-write dominant I/O trace from an OLTP application running at a large financial ins.itution s.ows.a 78% improvement in average res.ons. time （due to a 3-fold reduction in operations.of the garbage collector）, compared with the hybrid FTL s.heme. Even for the well-known read-dominant TPC-H benchmark, for which DFTL introduces.additional overheads. we improve s.s.em res.ons. time by 56%. Moreover, interes.ingly, when write-back cache on DFTL-bas.d s.D is.enabled, DFTL even outperforms.the page-bas.d FTL s.heme, improving their res.ons. time by 72% in Financial trace.
