BACKGROUND Coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus are rare injuries and are technically challenging to *** reduction and internal fixation(ORIF)has become the preferred treatment because it provides anatomical reduction,stable internal fixation,and early motion,but the optimal surgical approach remains *** SUMMARY We report three cases of coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus treated successfully by ORIF via a novel surgical approach,in which lateral epicondyle osteotomy was performed based on the extended lateral *** named the novel surgical approach the lateral epicondyle osteotomy *** patients underwent surgical treatment and were discharged *** patients had excellent functional results according to the Mayo elbow performance *** average range of motion was 118°in flexion/extension and 172°in pronation/*** case 2 had a complication,which was implant *** We demonstrated that the lateral epicondyle osteotomy approach in ORIF is effective and safe for coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus.

目的探讨苯烯莫德对炎症性肠病(IBD)大鼠结肠炎的疗效及作用机制.方法使用葡聚糖硫酸钠(DSS)建立大鼠IBD模型.将SPF级雄性SD大鼠随机分为空白组、IBD模型组、美沙拉嗪治疗组(100 mg/kg·2 d)、苯烯莫德低剂量组(10 mg/kg·2 d)、苯烯莫德高剂量组(20 mg/kg·2 d),每组7只.实验过程中每天记录大鼠的腹泻及血便程度、体质量变化和疾病活动指数(DAI) ,实验结束(第8天)时测量大鼠结肠长度,对结肠组织进行病理评分,检测大鼠白细胞介素6(IL-6)和肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)含量.结果与IBD模型组相比较,苯烯莫德高剂量组体质量显著增加(t=8.367,P<0.01)、DAI评分显著降低(t=10.151,P<0.01)、结肠长度显著增加(t=3.160,P=0.008)、结肠组织病理评分显著降低(t=4.323,P=0.001)、血清中IL-6(t=3.321,P=0.02)和TNF-α(t=2.806,P=0.03)含量显著降低;美沙拉嗪组、苯烯莫德低剂量组以及苯烯莫德高剂量组间各项指标差异无统计学意义.实验过程中无大鼠死亡.结论苯烯莫德能够改善DSS诱导的IBD模型大鼠的症状,疗效与美沙拉嗪相当.

Very long chain-saturated and-polyunsaturated fatty acids(VLC-SFA and VLC-PUFA, respectively) are a functionally important class of fatty acids containing 28 carbons or more in their acyl chain. They are synthesized by the elongation of very long fatty acids-4(ELOVL4) enzyme, expressed mainly in the brain, retina, skin, testes, and meibomian gland, where these fatty acids are found(Agbaga et al., 2008). Further, these organs exhibit tissuespecific VLC-PUFA and VLC-SFA biosynthesis and incorporation into complex lipids for specific functions. In the brain, skin, and Meibomian glands, the ELOVL4 mainly makes VLC-SFA, which are incorporated into complex sphingolipids. In the retina, the ELOVL4 makes VLC-PUFA that are incorporated into phosphatidylcholine, that are critical for visual function, while in testes and sperm, the VLC-PUFA are incorporated into sphingolipids that are critical for fertility(Yeboah et al., 2021).

Optical resonators are a powerful platform to control the spontaneous emission dynamics of excitons in solidstate nanostructures. We study a MoSe2-WSe2heterostructure that is integrated in a cryogenic open optical microcavity to gain insights into fundamental optical properties of the emergent interlayer excitons. First, we utilize a low-quality-factor planar open cavity and investigate the modification of the excitonic lifetime as on-and offresonance conditions are met with consecutive longitudinal modes.

There are limited biosecurity measures directed at preventing airborne transmission of viruses in *** effectiveness of dust mitigation strategies such as oil sprinkling,to decrease risk of airborne virus transmission are *** and qPCR for common fecal viruses were used to hunt for a ubiquitous virus to serve as a proxy when evaluating the efficiency of mitigation strategies against airborne viral infectious *** particles were collected from swine buildings using high-volume air *** DNA and RNA were used to perform specific RT-qPCR and qPCR and analyzed by highthroughput *** astroviruses group 2 were common(from 102 to 105 genomic copies per cubic meter of air or gc/m^(3),93%positivity)while no norovirus genogroup II was recovered from air *** torque teno sus virus were detected by qPCR in low concentrations(from 101 to 102 gc/m^(3),47%positivity).Among the identified viral families by metagenomics analysis,Herelleviridae,Microviridae,Myoviridae,Podoviridae,and Siphoviridae were *** phage vB_AviM_AVP of Aerococcus was present in all air samples and a newly designed qPCR revealed between 101 and 105 gc/m^(3) among the samples taken for the present study(97%positivity)and banked samples from5-and 15-year old studies(89%positivity).According to the present study,both the porcine astrovirus group 2 and the phage vB_AviM_AVP of Aerococcus could be proxy for airborne viruses of swine buildings.

Site index(SI)is determined from the top height development and is a proxy for forest productivity,defined as the expected top height for a given species at a certain index *** Norway,an index age of 40 years is *** using bi-temporal airborne laser scanning(ALS)data,SI can be determined using models estimated from SI observed on field plots(the direct approach)or from predicted top heights at two points in time(the height differential approach).Time series of ALS data may enhance SI determination compared to conventional methods used in operational forest inventory by providing more detailed information about the top height *** used longitudinal data comprising spatially consistent field and ALS data collected from training plots in 1999,2010,and 2022 to determine SI using the direct and height differential approaches using all combinations of years and performed an external *** also evaluated the use of data *** of root mean square error obtained from external validation were in the ranges of 16.3%–21.4%and 12.8%–20.6%of the mean fieldregistered SI for the direct approach and the height differential approach,*** were no statistically significant effects of time series length or the number of points in time on the obtained *** assimilation did not result in any substantial improvement in the obtained *** a time series of ALS data did not yield greater accuracies compared to using only two points in time,a larger proportion of the study area could be used in ALS-based determination of SI when a time series was *** was because areas that were unsuitable for SI determination between two points in time could be subject to SI determination based on data from another part of the time series.

The fundamental scientific and engineering knowledge concerning the solar power curve,which maps solar irradiance and other auxiliary meteorological variables to photovoltaic output power,has been gathered and put forward in the preceding tutorial *** the many pages of that review,it was incomplete in the sense that it did not elaborate on the applications of this very important tool of solar energy ***,solar power curves are ubiquitously needed in a broad spectrum of solar forecasting and solar resource assessment ***,this tutorial review should continue from where it left off and present examples concerning the usage of solar power *** a nutshell,this tutorial review,together with the preceding one,should elucidate how surface shortwave radiation data,be they ground-based,satelliteretrieved,or model-output,are bridged to various power system operations via solar power curves.

Due to the continuously increasing building and construction industry,sand has become one of the most questioned raw materials ***,the available amount of sand suitable for concrete production is orders of magnitude lower that the demand and *** though desert sand is sufficiently available,it is not usable for realizing stable concrete due to its surface *** this background,the suitability of energy-efficient‘cold'dielectric barrier discharge plasma operated at atmospheric pressure for improving the properties of concrete produced from desert sand was investigated in this *** is shown that such plasma treatment allows for a certain roughening and re-shaping of sand *** a result,the mass flow of treated sand is decreased due to an improved wedging of sand *** leads to a certain increase in compressive strength of concrete *** though this increase is marginal,the suitability of the applied type of plasma for modification of the geometry and surface chemistry of sand grains was proven,showing its basic potential for the treatment and preconditioning of sand used for concrete,mortar or plastering.
