BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most important primary malignant liver disease.A large proportion of patients with advanced HCC have macrovascular *** tends to infiltrate vascular structures,particularly the portal vein and its branches,and more rarely,the hepatic *** intravascular tumor thrombus can affect the inferior vena cava(IVC)or even the right atrium(RA),the latter having a poor *** SUMMARY HCC is one of the most aggressive malignant *** thrombus(TT)formation in advanced HCC stages is common and usually involves the hepatic or portal ***,we report a 69-year-old woman who presented with dyspnea to the emergency department.A ventilation/perfusion lung scan was performed,ruling out pulmonary *** syndrome and portopulmonary hypertension were discarded with contrasted echocardiography,but a mass in the RA was detected and confirmed by cardiac magnetic resonance *** computed tomography showed a liver mass with a dynamic enhancement pattern compatible with HCC and an intraluminal IVC mass extending from the hepatic vein into the *** with TT expansion to IVC and RA is rare and indicates poor *** HCC with TT expansion to IVC and RA is rare and indicates poor *** is no consensus about anticoagulation or other interventions in these patients.

Root-secreted phytochemicals mediate multiple interactions in the rhizosphere. The root exudation process can be altered by various biotic factors, including pathogenic and non-pathogenic microbes, and abiotic factors like temperature and soil moisture. It has been suggested that root secretion of specific flavonoids is influenced by diurnal rhythms （by light or dark） but a comprehensive analysis of the overall secretion of phytochemicals in response to diurnal rhythms has not been studied. In this study, we analyzed the effect of light/dark cycles on root exudation profiles using Arabidopsis as a model plant. Our results reveal that the root secretion of phytochemicals is partly regulated by the diurnal light cycle and follows two main patterns of secretion：（1） the large majority of phytochemicals in the exudates showed no diurnal pattern in their secretion, and （2） a few compounds showed a diurnal pattern in their secretion： three compounds increased in secretion only under light; two compounds increased in secretion only while it was dark; and two compounds increased in secretion during the transition from dark to light. Root-specific ABC transporters have been implicated in root exudation; an analysis of the gene expression patterns of ABC transporters in the roots of Arabidopsis at specific time points revealed that none of the ABC transporters followed a diurnal expression pattern, suggesting that they are expressed constantly during the day and night. Similarly, we analyzed the expression in roots of genes involved in secondary metabolite biosynthesis and found that some of the genes involved in phenylpropanoid and glucosinolate biosynthesis （i.e. 4-coumarate-CoA ligases （4CL1 and 4CL2）, flavonol synthases （FSl and FS2）, and CYP79B3） followed distinct diurnal expression patterns. This paper presents the results of the performance quality testing of polyethylene pipes reinforced with aramid fibers, intended for applications such as discharging and gathering oil pipelines, and describes the test rig specifically designed for this purpose. The pipe specimens are submitted to impact with a device that simulates the collision of a pickaxe, and of a backhoe loader. After the impact, the pipes are tested under combined loading comprising internal pressure, and transverse loading; some pipe specimens without previous impact are tested as well. The results show that the reinforced thermoplastic pipes can fully withstand maximal operating pressure levels in the presence of damage and additional transverse loading.

This research refers to the analysis and prediction of rockfall risk,whose objective is to determine the results of the validation of the model and application of modeling in the Rocfall Software,in this way to prepare the map of risk ***,the general problem was identified:What are the results of the analysis and prediction of risks from rockfall in the city of Huancavelica?To respond to the problem posed,the following steps were carried out:obtaining field information with Drone equipment and using photogrammetric processes the topography of the study area was obtained,identification of unstable areas,trajectories,traces of the previously occurred landslides and five geomechanical *** specific weight of eight rock samples in the laboratory of the National University of Huancavelica was also calculated,which served to obtain the weight of the large-scale rock *** addition,the normal and tangential restitution coefficients were calibrated,that is,field *** the data were obtained,modeling was carried out by applying the Rocfall software,whose results of ten trajectories were:final distance reached,bounce height,kinetic energy and translational *** these values,risk maps have been prepared,taking into account the areas of housing vulnerability in the city of ***,it is proposed to mitigate these risks of rockfall,with dynamic barriers,which is important for the security of housing in the analysis sectors.

In the Mexican tropics the guava trees can grow and produce in any season, so they can be har-vested out of the period of high competition marketing (Summer). It?studied the growth kinetics of leaves and fruits of guava trees at the dry tropical conditions of the State of Guerrero, in guava trees of four years old and was evaluated a non-destructive method for measuring leaf area from November to May. 100 sheets of 10 randomly selected trees were cut. It was found that leaf length X the width X 0.72581647 (conversion factor) gave an estimated leaf area which?was significantly correlated with that obtained by the integrator of leaf area. Both in length and width the leaf growth kinetics were sigmoid with three growth stages: In Stage I (15 days) leaves grew 21.2% and 21.5%;in Stage II (26 days) grew 73.6% and 68%;and in Stage III (30 days). They Increased 5.2% and 10.5% in the primary and secondary sprouts. The fruit growth in its equatorial and polar diameters corresponded to a double sigmoid kinetics. In Stage I (61 days) it reached 1.9 and 2.3 cm;in Stage II (62 - 102 days) it reached 3.09 and 3.62 cm;and in Stage III (103 to 126 days) it reached 4.63 and 5.13 cm, as well the physiological maturity of fruit.

Background:An epizootic of highly pathogenic avian influenza A(H5N1)has spread worldwide since *** though this virus has been extensively studied for many decades,little is known about its evolution in South ***:Here,we describe the sequencing and characterization of 13 H5N1 genomes collected from wild birds,poultry,and wild mammals in Peru during the genomic surveillance of this ***:The samples belonged to the highly pathogenic avian influenza(H5N1)2.***.4.4b *** and Peruvian samples clustered in the same group and therefore share a common *** analysis of the hemag-glutinin and neuraminidase genes detected new mutations,some dependent upon the host ***:The genomic surveillance of highly pathogenic avian influenza is necessary to promote the One Health policy and to overcome the new problems entailed by climate change,which may alter the habitats of resident and migratory birds.

Currently,conventional therapies in cancer are improving;chemotherapy,radiotherapy and surgery have increased survival *** therapies have arisen with the same goal;immunotherapy has appeared as a promising option in the fight against cancer stimulating the immune system by inducing innate and adaptive *** responses include release of pro-inflammatory cytokines,making the immune system capable to eliminate or protect against multiple ***,many of these therapies are being used in clinical settings,such as checkpoint inhibitors,monoclonal anti cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte associated protein 4(CTL-4)and programmed death protein 1(PD1),with inspiring results;however,they may decrease immunotolerance,limiting their *** the same time,chemotherapy works by passive transport across the cell membrane,limiting its capacity to penetrate in tumor *** these reasons,bacteria employment represents one of the best candidates for cancer *** can surpass these barriers with their selective colonization which also has an oncolytic effect by increasing proliferation and immunostimulation in the tumor *** strains,such as Mycobacterium bovis,Clostridium,Salmonella typhimirium and Listeria monocytogenes have been studied showing promising results in experimental ***,their application in clinical trials has shown the need to maximize their therapeutic *** engineering and synthetic biology are necessary to prove the scope that this novel approach has against cancer due to implications of cancer therapy and public health.
