Ins.ct flight is.a complex trait involved in different behaviors.from the s.arch for s.xual partners.food,or breeding *** s.udies.have pos.ulated the adaptive advantages.of certain morphological traits.in relation to increas.d flight capacity,s.ch as.low values.of wing loading or high values.of wing:thorax ratio and wing-as.ect ***,few s.udies.have evaluated the relations.ip between variables.related to flight and morphological traits.in *** work aimed to s.udy morphological traits.in males.and females.of two pairs.of s.bling s.ecies.Dros.phila buzzati Patters.n and Wheeler-Dros.phila koeferae Fontdevila and Was.erman,and Dros.phila melanogas.er Meigen-Dros.phila s.mulans.s.urtevant,and to analyze its.relations.ip with *** detected the highes. proportion of flight time in *** and *** compared to *** and ***,*** res.lts.als. revealed s.xual dimorphis.,with males.exhibiting a higher proportion of flight time than ***,we did not find a general pattern to explain the relations.ip between morphology and the proportion of flight time becaus. as.ociations.varied depending upon the analys.s.cons.dering all groups.together or each s.x-s.ecies.combination s.parately).Moreover,thes. as.ociations.explained a low percentage of variation,s.gges.ing that other nonmorphological components.related to flight,s.ch as.phys.ological variables.s.ould be taken into *** work allowed us.to s.ow the variability and complexity of an as.ect of flight,s.gges.ing that the adaptive role of the morphological traits.s.udied might have been overes.imated.

With the rapid development of location-bas.d s.rvices. a particularly important as.ect of s.art-up marketing res.arch is.to explore and characterize points.of interes. （PoIs. s.ch as.res.aurants.and hotels.on maps. However, due to the lack of direct acces. to PoI databas.s. it is.neces.ary to rely on exis.ing APIs.to query Pols.within a region and calculate PoI s.atis.ics. Unfortunately, public APIs.generally im- pos. a limit on the maximum number of queries. Therefore, we propos. effective and efficient s.mpling methods.bas.d on road networks.to s.mple PoIs.on maps.and provide unbias.d es.imators.for calculating PoI s.atis.ics. In general, the more intens. the roads. the dens.r the dis.ribution of PoIs.is.within a region. Experimental res.lts.s.ow that compared with s.ate-of-the-art methods. our s.mpling methods.improve the efficiency of aggregate s.atis.ical es.imations.

The s.amles. trailing edge morphing flap is.inves.igated us.ng a high-fidelity s.eady-s.ate aerodynamic s.ape optimization to determine its.optimum configuration for different flight conditions.including climb,cruis.,and gliding des.ent.A comparative s.udy is.als. conducted between a wing equipped with morphing flap and a wing with conventional hinged *** optimization is.performed by s.ecifying a certain objective function and the flight performance goal for each flight *** the climb rate,extending the flight range and endurance in cruis.,and decreas.ng the des.end rate,are the flight performance goals.covered in this.*** optimum configurations.were found for the morphing wing by determining the optimum morphing flap deflection for each flight condition,bas.d on its.objective function,each of which performed better than that of the bas.line *** was.s.own that by us.ng optimum configuration for the morphing wing in climb condition,the required power could be reduced by up to 3.8%and climb rate increas.s.by 6.13%.The comparative s.udy als. revealed that the morphing wing enhances.aerodynamic efficiency by up to 17.8%and extends.the laminar ***,the optimum configuration for the gliding des.ent brought about a 43%reduction in the des.ent rate.

With the development and prevalence of online s.cial networks. there is.an obvious.tendency that people are willing to attend and s.are group activities.with friends.or acquaintances. This.motivates.the s.udy on group recommendation, which aims.to meet the needs.of a group of us.rs. ins.ead of only individual us.rs. However, how to aggregate different preferences.of different group members.is.s.ill a challenging problem： 1） the choice of a member in a group is.influenced by various.factors. e.g., pers.nal preference, group topic, and s.cial relations.ip; 2） us.rs.have different influences.when in diffe- rent groups. In this.paper, we propos. a generative geo-s.cial group recommendation model （Gs.R） to recommend points.of interes. （POIs. for groups. s.ecifically, Gs.R well models.the pers.nal preference impacted by geographical information, group topics. and s.cial influence for recommendation. Moreover, when making recommendations. Gs.R aggregates.the preferences.of group members.with different weights.to es.imate the preference s.ore of a group to a POI. Experimental res.lts.on two datas.ts.s.ow that Gs.R is.effective in group recommendation and outperforms.the s.ate-of-the-art methods.

A review of s.mulation res.lts. devoted to time-dependent modeling of the initial s.age of the formation of large-s.ale vortices.in the tropos.here in the vicinity of the intertropical convergence zone, is.pres.nted. The s.mulation res.lts.were obtained not long ago with the help of the mathematical model of the neutral wind s.s.em of the lower atmos.here, developed earlier in the Polar Geophys.cal Ins.itute. The utilized mathematical model produces.three-dimens.onal dis.ributions.of the atmos.heric parameters.in the height range from 0 to 15 km over a limited region of the Earth’s.s.rface. s.mulation res.lts.were obtained for the cas. when the limited three-dimens.onal s.mulation domain, s.tuated at low latitudes. is.inters.cted by an intertropical convergence zone in the wes.-eas. direction. The reviewed s.mulation res.lts.were obtained for various.initial configurations.of the intertropical convergence zone. Res.lts.of numerical modeling have indicated that the origin of convexities.in the form of the intertropical convergence zone can lead to the formation of different large-s.ale vortices.in the lower atmos.here, in particular, a tropical cyclone, pair of cyclonic vortices. pair of cyclonic-anticyclonic vortexes. and triplet of cyclonic vortices. The s.mulation res.lts. obtained earlier and pres.nted individually in various.editions. are reviewed and s.mmarized in the pres.nt paper. A phys.cal mechanis., res.ons.ble for the formation of the s.mulated large-s.ale vortices.in the vicinity of the intertropical convergence zone, is.dis.us.ed.
